  • @IsThisInsanity I'm Mormon too, and isn't this shti hilirious? lol I don't get why people are making it seem like a whole big deal, this musical is very funny.

  • i don't think elder price is actually having gay thoughts.

  • Gawd this musical is amazing. If I don't get my ass over to New York and see it before the original cast leaves, I will never forgive myself.

  • @JUSTINBOWERS7 ... :(

  • This song is so terrible... why do I love it so much? xD

  • this song is hilarious. "find the box thats gay and CRUSH IT!!" priceless. i am definitely going to see this musical. though some people are offended, its just being creative and funny and im looking to have a good laugh. besides, every religion gets made fun of at some point XD oh, and im a mormon :D

  • turn it off like a(blowjob)light switch!

  • @104chase I'm sorry, but if you're going to make a sex joke, Please make it a funny one.

  • @phoenixguy7777777 no thats good the people who made southpark made this and in one of the southpark its about stan marsh bringing sharon marsh to a play and in the play every few seconds the will say stuff like-will you blowjob me

  • My boyfriend just forced me to have anal sex to this song.

  • @danamcwonderful isnt tht kinda a rape.... a bittersweet rape hahaha

  • @danamcwonderful Isn't that rape if he forced you?

  • @zen172 I meant to say he used the force while we had anal sex. He loves Star Wars.

  • Screaming this on roller coasters=best ride EVER.

  • @ChristinaShea98 TOTALLY, my friend!

  • @THEINDUSTRIALProject Of course. I'm sure we offended MANY people.

  • DAT HARMONY. 4:40

  • Next time I meet with the Missionaries, I'll have to ask them if they try to "turn (past bad memories) off, like a light switch."

  • It's funny cause Mormonism is a cult.

  • @kristianOLS

Which religion do the priests where robes and costumes and play around with incense and rape little boys? Catholics. I think we know who the actual cultists are... hahahahaha

  • @DarthNash6 haha, very funny, not

  • @kristianOLS most organized religions are a cult.

  • When I sing this in my head, I always end up thinking

    "My sister was a dancer

    But she got cancer

Every time the Utah Jazz would lose"

  • @TheNevii wow she must have had a lot of different kinds of cancers.

  • @TheNevii She must get cancer quite frequently.

  • Just wanted to come on here as an active member of the LDS faith. I found the musical to be very funny. Some members of my church are offended by it, but I overall find the musical to be creative and fun. The music is also really good. "My father would beat my mother every time the Utah Jazz would lose", LOL! Haha. I have done a mormon mission and gone out in the white shirt and tie, etc. It was truly a great experience. I encourage people to check out mormon.org to learn more about our church.

  • @panosmel97 I know I never said it was just mormons. Some of my family are catholic.

  • @panosmel97 yes I know, some of my family are catholic and I never said it was just Mormons

  • The musical is book till 2014....turn it off

  • I don't agree with some if the things Mormons believe in, I'm not gay myself but I don't like what they say about gay people. I have a really good friends who is a Mormon and I've met alot of other Mormons through her and there all really nice friendly people to the outsiders of the church :)

  • @AngiegurlUK ehm it aint just mormons.both orthodox and catholic churchs hate gays (most of modern religions do)

  • This is actually a very accurate perception of Mormons, not just as religious followers, but as people. They might believe in absurd things from a 200 year old doctrine, but they have very good attitudes and successful careers in society. I attend a church myself, and they're actually really helpful, tolerant people to outsiders of the church.

  • Noobfag. L2 tank scrub.

  • Mormons are stupids.

  • @JJewfro You're stupid, faggot.

  • @MrFaned YOU CANT SHOOT THROUGH WALLS

  • @JJewfro Hey mormons are nice people. Even if they believe in some kinda weird things, they're nice. So don't be a dick.

  • 29 people should learn to turn it off

  • Im religious...this is so Hilarious!

  • @slackerchik it's not somthing to be proud of

  • Does anyone know where I can download this song as a ringtone?

  • Whoa it reminds me of 'Hallelujah I Love Her So', anyone hear it?

  • Thumbs up if you think NPH should feature in this song as Elder McKinley!

  • I always get goosebumps at the end of this song. That's how you know this musical is amazing. Even after you've stopped laughing at the jokes, you still keep coming back for the music

  • I listen to this when I want a laugh. The silly thing is that I'm Mormon.

  • how is this concept unique to mormonism? this concept is ubiquitous not only to mormonism but to all religions even non-christian

this play is very much not as clever as people think it is. it's much more anti-religion and anti-christian than anti-mormon.

  • @rtardbox the play isn't anti-religion, by the end of the play the message is that religion can help people and give them a lot of hope, this song is just poking fun at the way some religious people will just ignore problems rather than try and confront them

  • This song perfectly describes the feelings you go through being gay in a hyper-religious family. Not even solely a Mormon one. Thank God for Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

  • LIKE A DIMMER SWITCH ON LOW

    ON LOOOOOOOOOW

  • Oh crap, I just realized this song is supposed to be the Mormon version of Hasa Diga Eebowai. They both describe ways to deal with bad things that happen.

  • @Pizzachu1 no its the guy telling the other guy to not be gay

  • @Pizzachu1 Except this one deals with hiding what you actually believe and feel because a book says you shouldn't feel them, and one deals with denying the existence of God because everyone you know is going to die before they're 20 due to disease, famine, and murder.

    lol

  • @Pizzachu1 I feel like this is actually the foil to Hasa Diga Ebowai. That song involves expressing your feelings about the tragedies you face by cursing God. The whole point behind Turn it Off, however, is to suppress any feelings that might oppose what is "acceptable." They complement each other - Keeping your feelings bottled up inside isn't a reasonable solution to your problems, but neither is shouting, "Fuck you, God!"

  • @MrMertakhai exactly! I think that's why the two songs are right next to each other in the show. An argument could be made that the villagers have a more authentic relationship with God (and with their own psyches) because at least they acknowledge and voice their anger and frustration and despair openly and honestly, while the missionaries pretend their strongest feelings don't even exist.

  • @Pizzachu1 After re-reading your comment, I realize that you didn't say the two songs were the same, but I guess I originally kinda thought you did. But yeah, anyway...

  • @Pizzachu1 You just blew my freakin' mind.

  • The melody of when they start dancing reminds me the melody of the song: Mosses Suposses (of the movie Singin' in the Rain).

  • This sounds like Splash Mountain music haha

  • "Being gay is bad but lying is worse"

    I love that line

  • I'm gonna sing this song when ever my Christian family members are bothered by something...

  • find the box that's gay and CRUSH IT!!!!!!!! ....okaaaaay?

  • oh ive got a problem, i cant get it up

  • So catchy, 570 people can't turn it off.

  • They should have used this song for the Tonys. Instead they wanted one that dropped the F-bomb and show that its edgy (been there done that). Plus I would have like to have seen the dance number. Just sayin.

  • @nujac321 Yeah, but NPH just got done singing about how it's "not just for gays anymore". ;-)

  • imagine ur brain is made of tiny boxes find the box thats gay and CRUSH IT

  • I just blend my feelings

  • i can get really argumentive when i don't agree with someone, especially when they start to sound obnoxious and telling me i'm stupid or something for my POV even though i maintain a respectful manner. Now instead of continuing a pointless argument even after making my point, i hear this song in my head and i just "turn it off" and it's over.

  • The ending is EPIC

  • 26 people can't turn it off.

  • This song plays through my head a lot. Shame I can't tap dance

  • Haha, so wonderfully offensive XD

  • I love this musical. Mostly because i was born and often go back to Utah.

    Mormons, you so silly!

Except not because most of you are horrid and hate filled and homophobic and racist and i could go on for days about why mormons suck. But i shant.

  • @masonastill We aren't all that way and many of us never have been. Utah Mormons are one way but the rest of us aren't quite the same. Sorry you've been treated like shit.

  • This song is SO GOOD

  • wow. typical black comedy

  • @LooxeY WHAT? Rofl!!

  • @MaxerOfDarkness When he says "Black Comedy", he isn't referring to the race, he's referring to Black Comedy, which is basically a sub genre of comedy that makes fun of touchy subjects by creating a world of humor that really plays around with being risque and offensive. (Though, I wouldn't quite call this Black Comedy, they're usually more focussed around toilet humor and grossing out the audience.)

  • Being Mormon is all about being fake.

  • @ExMormon66 Guy thats probably going to troll all these videos. lol

  • WOAH! Turn it off! ........... Hilarious!

  • Why don't they have a musical about baptists?! Maybe i'll write one..... :3

  • @despicablefrenchy That'd be really lame.

  • One of the best musicals I've seen. 2 hours of pure laughter

  • AND CRUSH IT!!!!!

  • I will pray to Heavenly Father for the welfare of your eternal soul. Now if I can just find that gay box and crush it.

  • I'm listening to this musical while looking at Salvador Dali paintings at 2:00 in the morning. I feel so bizzare! XD

  • I don't care what anyone says. I'm a girl, and I'm definitely performing this in drama class next year <3

  • @TaigaToraDora i'm a boy and i'm also definitely performing this in drama also next year.

  • It's like turning it on dim, lmao! And the dance sequence along with the sparkly pink vests was fabulous!

  • Now that I'm no longer mormon I DON'T turn it off. I'm just as fabulous as ever!!

  • @ScottZaborski And we love you for it.

  • I would do anything to get this my high school to perform this

  • all the mormans disliked haha

  • SOOOO FUNNY!

  • So offensive... Yet so hilarious!!! :)

  • bahahaha i was blasting this in my room and some elders came in to say hi and they asked me what i was watching, and two of the elders started singing along with it xD best night ever!

  • Haha, this is kinda horrible, but oh so funny! And catchy! It will be in my head for days... I love it!! :D

  • @chocolatelover0305 You know, I really want to say something about your trolololololling but I think it's been done to death by everyone else, so Instead I'll go make fun of my mormon cousin who I thought was gonna wet himself when he heard "Man Up" and "I Believe". I'll just ask you nicely to stop trolling and take a little joke, it's supposed to make fun of religion as a whole and how funny it looks to outsiders. If anything, I'm now more willing to let the mormons inside my house now

  • The next thing these guys need to make is The Un-Holy Bible. :)

  • 22 people can't turn it off...

  • yeah well im mormon and even if its a joke its still affencive and if u have something bitchy 2 say shut the hell up what ever he's saying about us is not TRUE

  • @chocolatelover0305 nobody cares :3

  • @chocolatelover0305 Riveting tale chap.

  • @chocolatelover0305: 1. *offensive. 2. there are a lot of mormons out there that this is freaking hilarious, and they don't seem to take offense and 3.It pretty much is true.

  • @hiiisaninja do u go 2 lds????????

  • @chocolatelover0305 yep. i have since i was a baby

  • @chocolatelover0305 Would you care to tell the true way Mormons react to being gay? What would they have you do? I'm Mormon, and this song seems to be rather true. They say, "Don't act on your feelings, don't think about them, it's bad and you need 'therapy' and whatnot." They all but say to "turn it off!"

This is a funny show, and just because you're easily offended (with an O) doesn't mean you should be rude to all the people here who like it. It's not all true, I agree, but parts are.

  • @berriesrbest Thank you! I'm not a Mormon, but, i was raised by religious parents and was a religious person myself for time. I get tired of the idea that all religious people are easily offended.

  • They all seem to have the same voices.. 0.o

  • I'm not totally clear on this...is it supposed to be commentary on Mormons, satirizing Mormons, or out-and-out making fun of Mormoms mercilessly? Haven't seen the actual play.

  • @AndromedaOfNewSlang It's as well-meaning and more-poking-fun-in-all-lovingness at than satirizing as something written by the South Park creators can be.

  • @Mike0Powell I feel it. That brings me joy, because I feel that Mormons get too much shit in real life.

  • @AndromedaOfNewSlang yes, yes we do
