wow i live in michigan and i never knew we even had fish like that XD i was so suprised when you pulled that double header out so by the way where in michigan is this?
@Themostpissedgamer We were on a small public lake in Northern Michigan. To find the good lakes I just go from lake, to lake, to lake. I'll spend a couple hours in the morning on one and hit all the best spots and then trailer to the next for the afternoon and do the same there. After years of doing this, I've learned what lakes have the quality fishing and which do not. Every year I pick a new area of the state to try. There are a lot of good lakes all over the state.
@Themostpissedgamer We were using a home made 3/8 ounce skirted jig with a Zoom small chunk trailer in black and blue. A Booyah Bitsy Bug Jig would work as good or just about any brand as long as you get it in front of the fish.
I love thisnguy but really nice fishing I have a lake house in Michigan and last summer caught a nice 8 pound bass and a 5 pound walleye and one 32 inch northern pike it was great but great fishing
Hey, do you guys have any shore fishing tips for Lake Michigan? I am going in July. The place where I would fish is just a beach, like sandy and stuff. What lures should I use and what techniques? thanks
@TheKRDFilms No shore fishing trips for us. The problem with shore fishing is having access to the areas were fish are. Most of the time on lakes they are offshore. If I had to fish on foot, I would target rivers were I could wade so I could fish were fish are.
@SlayerODragon No sir. This lake has access for all by way of the public ramp. I will say that the dozen times or so I've fished this particular lake, I have only seen one other person fishing it and they were bluegill fishing. Little lakes like this don't draw the crowds for some reason and the fish just have a chance to grow up. This lake is very fertile on its own and has great weed cover and a ton of forage. There are dozens more like it scattered across the state.
@flipsk828 Anytime I know were the fish are positioned I'll throw a jig. In this particular video the bass were positioned on two points that extended out past the deep weedline in about 12 to 14 foot of water. We caught adout 20 fish on each point on that jig. After we felt we had caught them all, we went back over the points and caught another dozen or so on a 4" Yum Dinger rig on a drop shot rig.
@313foxbody420 We were on 1 of many public lakes that I guide on in Northern Michigan. I generally don't publish the names of any particular lake to avoid undo pressure on any one lake.
@VistaV6Stang This was a small lake in Northern Michigan. Most good quality Largemouth lakes will also have descent Pike fishing and this one is no exeption.
