  • sick shot! i bullet accually took a couple seconds to get to him. Love the video!

  • awesome shot, and video man. so cool that ya take your daughter out with ya, keep it up

  • Okay moose.

    Sit!

    Roll over!

    Play dead!

    Good moose.;-)

  • That was a damnfine shot! Now, enjoy some excellent and juicy meat. Congrats!!

  • Hang your meat 12 days to 18, it won't be tough or gamey.

Prime beef hangs 14-18 day's. My deer are never gamey always tender.

Proper meat handling is everything. First your a hunter, then a butcher.

  • Great video man. That must be such a great experience. Where is this?

  • douchebag...

  • @dahmeredsback Read the caption asshole-Do NOT watch if you are a sensitive viewer. I have been hunting moose for 30 years and killed about 13 animals, I won't stop for pricks like you.

  • @TheBeaver1967 i'm not sensitive... i just think you're a braindead douchebag....

  • What do you use to piece up a moose? Hacksaw... hatchet.... small battery powered bandsaw... all the above? ....lol seriously, must be a hell of a lot of work processing such huge animals, at least you know you'll have meat for awhile.

  • @Cbertian All you need is a good knife :-)

  • Perty far shot. I like the family approach and the youth hunter!

  • no trapping videos this winter or moose huntin last fall by the way nice huntin there bud hope to see some more vids :)

  • I love that you take your daughter hunting with you and I am sure she will love to see these video's when she gets older. Hopefully she had hearing protection on when you shot. That could really damage her hearing bad if not. Congratulations on a nice hunt. Looks like a lot of fun.

  • love it

  • Just lovely! :)

  • Beautiful shot.

  • •Reason!•

  • Great Hunting!!! You Got Meat For Months. I Hate Trophy Hunting But Eh God Put Moose Here For A Reasonz

  • great hunting video, this would just be a treasure for you both when she starts hunting with you . awesome shot. what part of canada is this?

  • Ahhh this guy has a good eye

  • did he kill his daughter i only saw the jackjet -

    -

  • sorry if you'v already addressed this (and i hate to be a nit-picker) but was this 1100 meters or yards? at this range it's a big deal...great shot by the way!

  • @Ready2Run1..yards, a mistake I made on camera...Trev

  • holy shit!! that's a good shot...

  • Meters? Canadians! I knew it! I'm a boat to shoot a moose, a? But seriously, damn fine shot. Eat that tree fags.

  • That is very cute, a dad taking his daughter on a hunting trip. And i find it funny, cuz it kinda looked like you shot it in the ass

  • @KineticNK If it's a clean kill, their ass end will drop. A shot in the ass doesn't do ya too good.

  • That just goes to show everyone that says you cant hunt anything the size of moose with a 30 cal. let alone a 30 cal in win mag.

So many "hunters" say you have to go with something around a .338 minimum

You can kill a moose with a 7mm. With the right bullet design and right velocities, very big game animals can be cleanly taken.

    Great shot!

  • WOW nice shot, well done

  • Lol i thought you carried you kid by the head at the end of the video there :P Amazing shot, and like people said it wasnt a trophy kill and you now have food on the table for your family, which is what hunting should be all about!

  • People can say what they want about taking game at long range. Long range is a SCIENCE, not an art. Great shot. The conditions were perfect for that shot. I'm sure if the wind had been gusting or swirling you wouldn't have risked that shot. It makes it even better that you show the field dressing and quartering of the animal post kill.

  • 0:56 sit boy sit

  • Hunting for survival = acceptable.

Hunting for sports or recreation = not acceptable.

  • Life just doesn't get an awful lot better now does it. Great shot btw.

  • that is some crazy shootin',,,even for a 300 , you musta pulled a good foot n half high...or more,,,,outstanding !!!

  • sweet, long range is the best, only bad part is going to go get your kill, but either then that , shows true skillz

  • awesome <<

  • So many of you people ask what Cal of rifle used like if you run out and buy one you can instantly shoot like that. It doesn't work like that. LEARN what you got AT the range and go from there. It's nowhere near as easy as it looks

  • "Selects the LOVE Button" <3

I Love hunting, It's in me and very strong instincts to survive. <3

I am Italian and Wild Indian and my Indian takes over whenever. I love my Indian side And my Italian side for what i will love to use for good food. <3

  • I wonder how your family would react if someone put a bullet in you just as you put a bullet in that moose.

  • Comment removed

  • @ingeborgsjon.... Firstly, moose can't get their knuckles through the trigger guards, secondly, such a stupid remark warrants this sarcastic reply to an ignorant euro trash moose-knuckle of a person.

  • @larrygolfer I said someone, I didn't say moose. Picture yourself at the beach with your family then "boom", you get a hollow point in your chest. And falls down, dying in front of your family. That's what you and this moose hunter deserves...

  • @ingeborgsjon was that a serious comment? LOL ya cause the Moose's "family" has the ability to reason. Ive always wondered why people that are against killing animals for food say things like "I hope you get shot by a rife and die" I guess killing humans is ok but not animals

  • @freestylmx311 The moose and the human has the same limbic system in the brain. This means we have the same set of emotions. Well, I think both the killing of humans and animals is justified under the right conditions. From a extraterrestial point of view it's the humans that should be culled.

  • @ingeborgsjon Do you eat meat?

  • his kid wonders off and he comes back with just a coat

  • Nice shot!!!!!!

  • rad video.. my dad just showed it to me. We were wondering (sorry if you already answered, but I don't see it anywhere,) what gun & set up did you use? That's very impressive!

  • @remsa7364...McMillan Bros. 300 win mag MCRT....I was floating along with my daughter and spotted the moose down river, pulled over and the rest is what you see on the video:-)

  • Great video! How did it taste? I hear moose can be pretty tough.

  • @MeetTheMattsons...That moose was nice and tender, not too gamey at all. Although I have had the odd tough moose...Trev

  • @AdventureTrev how the fuck did you get that back to your truck

  • Lol good shot... But i dont think its smart to take your child moose hunting.. I started hunting at 7 im now 19 and ive never shot a moose. Just bucks, bears, turkeys, quales and 1 caribou. But great job/shot! what type of gun?

  • Excellent shot. What caliber? I was trying to guage the initial sound to impact, 7MM or larger I would guess. Freezer is well stocked.

  • @larrygolfer...300 Win. Mag...

  • Fuck me, did he eat the girl.

  • Wow that was some shot kudos to you.

  • very good video and good to see that you dont just waste the meat nice shooting

  • Lovely shot mate. One that could only be placed accurately in ideal conditions like those seen in the video. The water is an ideal indicator of wind direction changes etc.

Great to see you utilising the meat too. Many beasts are wasted and are simply trophies.

    Good work. :-)

  • @bigsigh66...Thanks for watching and posting! Cheers...Trev

  • POLEAXED!

  • Nice shot!

  • Wow, is1100 meter the same as 1100 yards? I don't think so. The guy didn't even bother skinning the beast. Just cut it up like he is going to feed it to the sharks. Great shot though.

  • That was a great shot and awsome footage.

  • I love the fact that it isn't just some trophy. This guy has meat for months :) and he's passing his skills over to his daughter. My hat is off to you sir!

  • Why do you shoot at such a long range, there is so much that can go wrong over that distance, one little flinch from you or a movement from the moose could leave an injured animal, and your 1100 meters away to deal with it. i feel this isn't hunting at all, just a test of marksmanship. A good shot though, but those ranges are best left to targets that don't bleed.

  • @alphabet45839...Thanks for posting, I don't shoot animals at this long of range often. It is possible to do it if you have the time and right conditions. There are no guarantees, but take your time and gather the correct variables...hold steady and squeeze. It is enjoyable and puts meat in the freezer...Trev

  • @AdventureTrev

    Hi Trev

Hope my post didn't offend you,the reason behind this was the fear of folks out there who have rifles but not the ability to pull off shots like that, would hate for them to have a go and bring suffering through inexperience, last thing you want is the anti hunt brigade latching on the stuff like that. What rifle scope combo do you have. I live in England by the way.

  • Why do you shoo at such a long range, there is so much that can go wrong over that distance, one little flinch from you or a movement from the moose could leave an injured animal, and your 1100 meters away to deal with it. i feel this isn't hunting at all, just a test of marksmanship. A good shot though, but those ranges are best left to targets that don't bleed.

  • @alphabet45839 he obviously knows what hes doing and to say he is not a hunter is just ignorant. It is unethical to take a shot that long on game if you are sure you can hit the vitals but this guy obviously can and did. I say he is a good hunter and a great long range hunter and a great father as well

  • Nice shot, good to see the kids out.

  • Nice shot !

  • awsome vid!!

  • Awesome!

  • nice shot man good to see you kid there to its good to know there will be one more child growing up not inside all day :)

  • Hey nuclearthreat 545 howd you like to die by a rifle shot

  • Great shot, I just picked up a 6.5 creedmoor to shoot a lil further and flatter than my .308

  • Amazing :)

  • is this in newfoundland

  • @silverblotter..no B.C.

  • @AdventureTrev what were you using? 30.06, .300, .444, .375??

  • I hope this guy dies by a rifle shot

  • That's the longest shot iv ever seen, great job

  • 1:59 1100 metres or 1100 yards?

  • @Hollowman110886...1100 yards...Trev

  • Really nice shot! ! What rifle do u use?

  • @GearShifter12..McMillan Bros. MCRT 300 Win. Mag

  • the size of those back legs are ridiculous! yum!

  • Your daughter is cute walking around on the rocks.. It's cool that she will be raised educated and not be another ignorant anti hunter type. and AMAZING shot mate.

  • that is absolutely awesome.......looks like your gonna have someone taking over shooting pretty soon.........

  • I know most of you won't repost this, but I know a few will. Moosekind has been through many struggles, but it is indeed time that we rise up and march on DC to obtain our rights like the women and blacks before us! Equal opportunity for Moosekind!

  • i think its awesome u take ur little girl on hunts brother, that inspires me

  • what happened to the rest of the moose ?

  • @tenjinnim...The whole moose was taken and turned into jerky, sausage, roasts, steaks, hamburger and stew meat...Just about all gone now but the moose season just opened again :-)

  • @AdventureTrev

yummy, good shootin man. looked like you guys had a great time!

  • @tenjinnim damn... im hungry now .. how do they taste ? like give me a gestimation of the closest domesticated meat that we eat ? or a combination ?

  • Hi I was curious how the ballistic tip held up? What part of the bull did it strike? I am considering using 180 ballistic tips in my 300wsm( my moose gun) I have been using them on deer, they tend to blow thru fast without alot of damage though.

Any help would be great, I am headed out on my first moose trip here in washington state.

  • Thats how its done... Good vid.

  • I'm a friend of a good friend of yours Trev & he showed me this video. Excellent shot & hats off to you my friend for training your daughter young on the importance of hunting responsibly. I'm in the Yukon now hoping to get my first moose. Don't let all these pussies get you down either, when society falls it'll be those bastards that starve first because Costco won't be open no more to prepare their meat lol

  • @treeman0000...Good luck on your moose hunt! Cheers and thanks for posting...It will be amusing to see all of these bleeding hearts change their tune when the grocery store doesn't have any food left and there isnt a tree or an animal for miles...Trev

  • fricken awesome man, you are my hero

  • Nice shot dude...great camera quality...atleast you took some moose meat with you, not like some other hunters who just leave it there...and take the antlers...RESPECT FROM NORTHERN ONTARIO

  • Is this a comedy sketch?

  • What was the video camera used for this video? The zoom is superb.

Great kill! Kisses from Indiana :)

  • @lucianarg30...Sony HDR FX7..Thanks for your interest...Trev

  • And to all those tree huggers. Don't like it don't watch it. Just leave your punk kids in front of their computers or video games.

  • @idahocountryboy51 best comment on youtube

  • Little hunter in training. Way to go dad. Family bonds like that are great. Been there and still am with my daughter. She's 26 now but we still share times hunting.

  • @idahocountryboy51....Great times! Daughters are a rare blessing...thanks for sharing...Trev

  • Awesome video! Your a good father!

  • @KcinOutdoors...Thanks a million! Trev

  • very quick and clean. thats the way i would love to see every game animal taken. watched a different video and dude had to take 3 shots, with a 300 win mg, a very close range. made me sad. well done sir =)

  • Danieization shut up no one wants to hear stupid views, his daughter is spending time with her dad and she gets and great day out in a boat and see what her dad likes to do. (and I have no idea if he dose it for a living or something just on the side you need to ask him).

  • @8995Ryan if your dont like to read my views, fuckin dont read it u fucker fuckin piece of fuckin freekin zhiiiiiiiiiiiiat hahaha

  • @danieization You suck ! How do you know he doesnt do that to, throw a ball and play other games also? Get a life ,hunting is all a part of living ,do you have kids , have you ever taken them hunting ? On a camping trip ? Back off BITCH , I did the same with my kids and they turned out just fine ,no drugs no arrests no problem. Married now and and my best friends ,you aint right ,dont like the vid ,dont watch the vid .

  • @soggybuilders

im 17 i love sports i never do drugs , i speak 3 languages im going to collage id have beatten the sit out of your kids i prefer playing paintball and airsoft best of shooting defenseless animals BITCH

  • @danieization Then you should know how to type and spell , (collage,id,beatten, sit,) 3 languages, whoop de do ,for you .That would be real handy in survival situation , Ill just babble him one of my language to death ,yea that's what Ill do then we can eat !Better yet lets go play paint ball and airsoft ,hell I'm 17 I know everything .Ha ! Thanks for the laugh , make a comment when you grow up , then maybe it will be important .

  • @soggybuilders Omg no waay dude u are soo smart how did u knowww i was wrogn at my spelling!, congrats! you can identify grammar mistakes! such a clever guy!motherfucker 2 bad thats useless when it comes to survival skillls right? feel free 2 fucking leave the city and prove ur stupid survival skills on the wildlife, i just know, that at my 17s, in the city ur jst shit no more than a looser behind a keyboard having an argument against a teen.u look so smart get real u bastard worthless bitch

  • @danieization Humans have evolved for thousands of years to be omnivores, would you rather eat meat from a slaughter house where they spray the meat with ammonia because it is ecoli infested due to the animals eating corn instead of grazing on grass, why don't you learn something, oh wait hunting pays for wildlife conservation so I guess your against that too

  • @BALJIT147 u are hunting cuz of fun, he is not going to eat that...u ass

  • @danieization First of all I don't hunt, secondly how do you know he isn't going to eat it? Were you there? Are you his Mom?

  • @danieization You are a fucking MORON...eat shit and die loser!

  • great shot and a true hunter well done mate

  • Hm. Truly a magnificent beast. I would be a lier to say that I do not feel for it.

But it was indeed an incredible shot. Well done.

  • @AustinMontreal...Well said, thanks for taking the time to comment...Trev

  • Excellent shot!

  • Thats what we all like to see, a good, clean kill. Congrats on that mate, firstly for the great shot, secondly for harvesting the meat and thirdly for introducing the young ones to the joys of living off the land.

  • @joewilde D:

  • @joewilde...Cheers...Trev

  • Very good to see you both shoot well, and practice good family dynamics.

  • @ideacostarica they ate it hunting for survival is okay even in the bible hunting because you like to kill for fun is bad

  • Wow! I was thinking it was a 300 win mag or .50 cal! Great shot! Good to see you taking your daughter out. I have a little one too and she has shot my .22 with me a few times. She doesn't like the noise. Guess I'll try ear plugs next time

  • @Cslacko..300 win mag. 180 grain ballistic tips...it is priceless to teach your children to provide for themselves, you can see their confidence and awareness grow exponentially with every trip! Trev

  • Nice shot!

  • Ideacostarica you obviously get your information via the humane society so why don't you take your ignorance to the peta convention you will be embraced by the rest of the village idiots. Nice shot on that bull and glad to see your daughter is along for the hunt.

  • great moose my friend, and glad to see you brought your daughter along for the experience as well, i would also like to congradulate you on a fantastic shot!!!.

  • How can anybody think this is awesome or cool....This coward is killing a harmless animal just for the fun...The worst thing is that he is involving his innocent daughter in his stupid cruelty. I guess this is the reason why this type of people suffer all kinds of tragedies. How would he felt if he was on a picnic with his little daughter and someone (not even showing his face) killed her?...

  • @ideacostarica This guy is putting protein on the table they way it's been done since the beginning of time, only these days we can take an animal cleaner than ever. Wild game is the healthiest most natural meat available to us!! Excellent shot , clean kill and his daughter will have a firm grip on reality!!

  • @x809562 Yeah Right!, he headed directly to Wendy's!

  • @ideacostarica You won't find any Wendy's that have a jet boat drive through, I live in a way less rural area than this guy and we just got a fast food joint a couple years ago, only one for an hours drive. Besides that why would you eat that junk food, prepared by who know who when you have a much healthier and natural choice?

  • @ideacostarica How would you feel if you shut up?

  • @ideacostarica are you mentaly handycaped he ate the fuckin moose..and at the same time taught his kid how to survive with out a grocery store...... i suggest you come out from under your rock you ignorant pos and leanr a few things about life and how death is part of it.

  • @ideacostarica Ah...another bleeding heart liberal IDIOT spewing senseless BILE...he didn't shoot it for "fun" he harvested it for the MEAT and fed his family with it ...so go crawl back under your rock you fucking MORON!

  • That was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This video was awesome and reminded me of my hunts as a kid. I cannot wait for this years moose and bear hunt. Thank you for this video!

  • @Naughtydogdotcom...2 years old...Trev

  • @AdventureTrev lol even yonger than what i said lol xD

  • Awesome hunt Trev! I love that you are passing on the sport and responsibility to your daughter. Hopefully you will see my videos from successful hunts for Montana elk, deer, and bear next Spring, and moose before too long. I just saw a nice bull the other day while scouting elk country. I hope you are as successful in all your endeavors.

  • well done mate, when i saw you lifting the legs up i thought oh yea their not that big but then it was like 9 feet long(never seen a moose b4) and you just picked them up as if it was nothing, your the man for that. good on ya for introducing your daughter to hunting as well.

  • @Stag2506...That moose leg was long and heavy, I just about give myself a hernia! I knew I had to power up, the camera was rolling :-) Cheers...Trev

  • I love how the moose just sat and then dropped like a sack of potatoes. Great shot man

  • amazing.... i like how he took a seat for a second before piling over. Never taken anything bigger than a whitetail but would love to elk or moose hunt,

I actually dont even have a hunting rifle, just muzzleloader shotgun and bow

but would love to learn the science behind shooting like that

  • Outstanding shot..

  • Nice, great shooting, I'm getting hungry now, I'll think I'll head home and take out a moose steak for dinner. Cheers

  • great shot!!!!!!!!!!

  • Unbelievable shot! I envy you.

  • What a clean shot very good. That leg was huge you had a lot of meat for it. Good quality family time as well. :)

  • trev great video mate. Beautiful creatue, plenty of meat on him. That was an astonishing shot, very clean kill to. Well put together video and your daughter is a cutie. Great job all round mate

    happy hunting

  • its funny how he killed something in just a few seconds when its leg is bigger then he is

  • Nice shot.
