haha lazy. Clearly you've never seen it played. Why watch this video and then post a comment like that? Its the fattest ball sport in the world and its far from lazy.
I don't, i just wanted to see who would be the first person to be offended by my comment. I'm sure like any sport when you get into it its very entertaining.
Why make a comment to deliberately offend people? What's the point? Even non riders are usually blown away by watching high-goal polo - it's extremely fast and exciting - the ponies can be going at 35mph and the ball over 90mph. I think non polo people only criticize as they see it as elitist and something they can't be part of, but in reality anyone can watch the games or take lessons. I would encourage you to find your local club and watch a game - you might enjoy it!
Don't be offended, If you like the sport thats all that matters you shouldn't care what i think. My sister rides horses and i have tried it a few times it is good i'm just not interested in the sport and who knows maybe the horse (ponys) aren't either, I'll stick to other sports thanks.
gosh, you are an incredibly ignorant person. polo is a hard sport to play and a beautiful one to watch. so i suggest you try it before spouting out untruths about it.
Yah, not sure how competitive they are - likely just weekend fun players. Thanks for the info tho about the best polo horses. I didn't know about that.
No way, TBs are by far the best for polo. The New Zealand TB has long been considered the best, that is why players now have big breeding programs in Argentina, ie Aldofo Cambiaso....look it up.
The Corillo is good for kids to start on, but all the top players play TBs.
I used to be a polo groom at the Guards Club - our team played on both - ex racehorses and criollo crosses. Polo ponies can be 16.2hh, and they usually come out of racing as 3 year olds - so not too old to train. I think there are advantages/disadvantages to both. I prefered riding the criollos, but the ex racehorses were very good too.
@rosierocksurworld, a lot of polo horses now a days are TBs, most of them actually. as far as smaller polo clubs go. obviously in the bigger leagues they bring in nice horses from out of the country but ive been working for a few years now and havent seen one that wasnt a TB
No..no...no I can´t believe this....

The horse that they zoom in on eating grass has wounds on the corners of its mouth... and also, if that's a polo pony, shouldn't its mane be sheared?
