I know you should not put the coffee in the upper chamber before the water boils because some water will escape before it reaches the ultimate temperature but what is the difference between putting the coffee in when the water starts to rise up vs to mix the coffee in when the water is all up in the upper chamber ?
@klarinetta what I have noticed is, when I drop the coffee in as it starts to climb up the top chamber I get a sweeter coffee in the cup. So I start my steep time at that drop time 30s depends on the coffee. I'm not to sure but the TCh is cooler than the BCh so the water temp drops slightly. Last time I checked, if I let the hot gas from the BCh up to the TCh the water heats up. Like that the coolest/stable temp i got was 92℃.
