Man i remember watching this video about 2 years ago and i still cant think of where you come from!! Im from Ireland and i can definately hear a little Irish twang in their :P Did you move to Ireland from somewhere in Europe?? :)
Okay, so to start with, I'll be honest and say I'm pretty jealous of how you can play, as well as the guitar is pretty nice sounding/looking. Then I will move on to where I bash your horrible camera, you might want to invest in a new one if you`d like my subscription.
Hey, I've got the 2010 model, with the gibraltar bridge, and it maintains the tune pretty tight, but as I'm using 0.10 strings, I'll need to regulate a little, just to get it more strong. sorry the bad english, but i think u got it.
Played different models of pacifica's and squiers, and all i can say is that this guitar is far better. Some pacifica are fairly good, but don't compare to Ibanez build quality. Squiers are generally shit.
nice playing, and pretty cool guitar. it appears Ibanez has done some cool stuff with their guitars since last time i checked.
i picked up a used 2006 RG370DX and while the guitar plays REALLY well, the stock pickups had problems. for one thing they hummed a crap load, and for another they didn't really sound great at all.
at guitar center the other day i played a new guitar of the same model but with a maple top and OH MY GOD has the sound improved. the tremolo has also improved a ton in feel
@Koopagamelouda you know what this means dont you.... you are awsome, i am awesome, im getting mine next week, will be putting an EMTY in the bridge and something nice and warm for the clean on neck
@mast3rprocrastinat3r i wouldnt suggest doing that. the reason you put heavier guage strings when doing tunings such as drop c and c/d standard is to keep the tension around the same as it would be if you used regular guage (9's) for e standard tuning.
@mast3rprocrastinat3r i wouldnt suggest doing that. the reason you put heavier guage strings when doing tunings such as drop c and c/d standard is to keep the tension around the same as it would be if you used regular guage (9's) for e standard tuning.
this guitar is pretty rocking and i would definatelly choose this one if i were you !
also it would be better to replace the pickups with EMG's 81/85 either Seymour Duncan Blackouts to have an ultimate guitar experience(ofc if you got so much money for that)
The inf 3+4 are great like macbrowny94 had said (I owned one a few years ago and I never changed my guitarbrand again^^). If you need a tremolo like the RG350 had, i think it's right because you can't make much wrong with this guitar. But you should check the IBANEZ RGA32 it has active pickups which sound better in my opinion and its the same ibanez quality, great quality. Hope it helps
@thisIStheARTofRUIN Yeah, im so ignorant because i said stock pickups fucking suck compared to dimarz or duncans, any guitar player knows thats true man, dont get all personal about the brands with me, you dont represent ibanez
@Taud and you dont represent DiMarzio or SD. it works both ways. i bet you've never even tried a mid range ibanez, in fact, i hate all of you that think if a guitar doesnt have DiMarzios or SD's, it fucking sucks.
@thisIStheARTofRUIN i actually use the stock..... its why i know the other ones are better, ive tried them in comparison on a friends guitar thats the same, oh so this was about you "hating all of us that think if a guitar doesnt have DiMarzios or SD's, it fucking sucks" all along eh? yeah, figures you got pretty defensive right away
@Taud if you've got a low end guitar with stocks, then they're bound to be rubbish. all im saying is that, for example, the stock p/ups on RG's have very little to criticize about. if you're going to reply, send me a PM, i doubt people really want arguments on their videos.
They dont seem to have the drive needed, like for me, i bought an ibanez rg cause theyre the "super strat" like a hot rod compared to a normal fender and such, so why would you want to keep the weak pickups if youre looking to play a high gain type of music....? theyre better than most stock ill agree...
@viscolex Nice review, im hoping to get this as my new guitar soon. Also I think that guy thought you were German because you say you brought it from a website thatends in ".de" which I think means its a German site? Anyway awesome vid thanks.
wait, out of the box, are the factory set strings 9-42 or 10-46? I used to use 10s but my hands are losing their stamina on 10s already. And how are the tuners? What's the nut made of?
forgive me i I ask too much questions, I'm planning to save up or this beauty of a guitar.
Out of the box, D'addario 10's (I replaced straight away with Ernie Ball 9's)...The tuners are good, not the best, but they do the job well. I'm not sure about the nut but i think it's plastic. I'd go for the guitar if i were you, It is so good and it's outstanding value for money.
thanks very much guys for the help! Now I'm off to the music store to try one of these guitars, and after that I'll prolly wait months until I save up for this.
Well from my experience with mid-range Ibanez, you can't go wrong with them. The value for money is outstanding. I actually can't wait to play a top-range ibanez.
I have the same guitar! Plays freakin' awsome and has got a perfect sound (as you can hear).. I bought it for €300,- and I have to say I think it's a really great price/quality proportion!
maybe it is, not my type anyway. Actually, i think nobody should buy ibanez-guitars with that kind of price, excpecially with solid body. If i'd like to buy a good solid body guitar with the same kind of low price, i would deffinetly buy jackson js30(the solid body version).
i had it for 6 months, ive played for about 2 hours every day, changed strings twice, standard tuning to drop C tuning, im recording my own music with it and its still in perfect chape. The ONLY thing i can complain about is the sound of the pickups. Its kind of isolated. But thats just for perfectionists. I could recomend it to anyone ;)
just asked. Now i believe this guitar works with you very well, if it feels good, that's the only thing that matters(and if it sounds goo ofcourse). I'm just saying that there's always higher class guitars with higher price, and i think you may deserve a better one. It's just that I have played like a year now, and I have a Ibanez Mt-M2, and it's SO good. Now i can't play any guitar solos, except the rare easy ones, and I still have that professional guitar
yeah your right, you get what you pay for. I will try to buy a pair of Seymour duncan pickups when my economy allows me to :) If i buy a new guitar im going to watch out for a ESP. Rock on mate :)
no shitty edge bridge only edge pros and edge zeros are good ibanez bridges. the pickups on the 321 sound nicer and its a hell of a lot easier to set up like for lower tunings or whatever
thanks for the review. i was looking at gettin the rg350dx but being fairly new to guitar playing and reading some reviews the 350dx can be a bitch to re-tune to drop D and C. so think im going to keep it simple and buy the fixed bridge. nice one!
