  • haha that guy yelling PUSSY PUSSY PUSSY

  • They're all white.

  • this looks so fun

  • Stop looking at my naked body you crazy Europeans. There'll always be a place for you on this side of the pond... in Canada.

  • hahahhahahahha cool

  • America is so prudish :))!

  • (not yet) educated people of America.

  • @Tristamson Right, you're extremely educated.

You wear Winter Coats in the Summer, and Space Suits in the Winter.

  • Should be much more popular here in europe :)

  • Why not in HD?

  • must suck being a dude in this. you must get so small.

  • it's great to be naked!

  • American schools take this "Experience" and "Get out of your comfort zone" shit too far, and hence you see the result, a society with no boundaries, and with the mindstate to do such pointless things, if you wanna release stress, smoke a blunt God damn it, this is just waaaaaay too much.

  • @mrtzism fuck you you conservative bitch

  • @theNash619 pitiful, "liberated" students, liberated my ass, you people are probably the shittiest portion of this generation. I feel sorry for your kids, when they come that is.

  • @mrtzism Call yourself a waaaaaaaaaaaambulance.

  • camera guy needed to switch the angle, point towards the ppl running

  • It is excellent to see so many people fight against government sanctioned corporate theft of beautiful human nudity for seedy salacious advertising purposes.

STEAL BACK OUR NUDITY!!! GOD DAMN!!!

PS. Can anyone doing minus-comments please be less unpopular because I can't be bothered clicking that "show all" thing, and I want to see what you said.

    Thanks.

  • I just came back from annual NQR.

Never seen so many nude people in my life..

Was fun trying to blend in with students as I am over 30. :D

  • To all those who are offended, I really don't know what the big deal is? This country seems to have so much issues with nudity, it's weird. It's not like they're fornicating or anything. The body is a beautiful and natural expression of life...Meanwhile show heads being blown off and violence and that doesn't seen to create much waves...Go figure out that one!?

  • @xcalibur69 Such an american comment, issues with nudity? Come the FUCK ON, sooner or later people are gonna fornicate or the streets, its progressive exposure. Such ian idiot.

  • @mrtzism So you consider fornicating in the streets a sign of social progress? European liberals are the biggest morons in the world.

  • *clicks to watch in high quality*

  • Yeah Tufts!!! those silly jumbos...i'm probably somewhere on the sidelines NOT freezing my naked ass off, lol!

  • Holy shit I've never seen so many people run like that haha...that's insane

  • cant believe youtube allows this lol

  • oh tufts, how i miss thee with thine lovely stress relief techniques. GO JUMBO!

  • i beleive the "pussy" guy is calling the clothed people on the sidelines pussies, rather than commenting on the ammount of pussy surrounding him.

  • haha all you guys are freaking out, and im just laughing at the guy runnthing thru at 13 seconds

  • lol THE NAKED MILE!!!!

  • 00:13 to 00:15..... That fool is screaming "pussy, pussy, pussy"... HOw funny is that!

  • that shit is fly

  • wtf my brother goes to tufts! hes graduating from there in 2009! holy shit! he gave me pics of it, and oh do i thank him.

  • I think I just got mooned 400 times.

  • i counted 407

  • haha how many views sis that take? and did you feel like getting naked afterwards...lol

  • smells like fish. the "pussy pussy pussy" dude is funny....where's the frontal camera view?

  • left like after he ran

  • ha ha my older brother left like right before taht this is funny

  • Its not about trying to be funny, looking for attention, or anything else. It's a great bonding experience for students, a way to blow off steam, and a chance to do something most people will never do in their lifetime. Who else can say they've ran in a naked mob?

  • mikefrosty: i'm sorry you got rejected from tufts. not everyone can go here. life's tough?

  • If it bothers you, thats fine, just don't spend time at the video trying to bother other people. I would like to comment on the fact that Tufts students aren't whining or crying, nor do we treat people like crap. In my experience at Tufts, Tufts students are the nicest I've ever met. The way Tufts students look doesn't really concern you, and I think you're being a bit superficial; This run isn't about seeing people naked.

  • Honestly, after all the college searching I did and all the stereotyping of different schools basically what I found is that you can pin very little down about people at a school to any such stereotype.

I find the people at Tufts generally aren't too stuck up, and honestly, most schools just have a portion of people who are.

  • Well, you would think that the fat people would stay sick, therefore you got all the attractive people naked. And if the girls all looked like Brad Pitt, that'd be scary.

The achievement is that you got people to overcome their meekness and go outside and run. And then to scream Pussy Pussy Pussy.

  • And to the person who said that TU students are whiny brats because they want this thing taken down, buzz off! You'd want this crap taken down too if this is your school TRADITION and all of a sudden you went on youtube and saw your naked butt! It isn't about whining, it's about simple Propriety! This should not be published period. C'mon, this is for TUFTS students only to see. WE run because we're stressed as hell, finals are coming up, and we need to release some of it!

  • how bout you chill the fuck out, and stop bitchin? If you don't like it don't watch it, ya cunt.

  • by the way...It wasn't that cold out fellas. No wonder you're so mad. Now the world can see how small your package is.

  • yeah... most people don't think 20 degrees is cold either. good observation! thanks!

  • how annoying.. they think they're funny

  • see, the thing is:

Tufts is a private University on private campus...while I, as a Tufts student, choose NOT to run, it is their right to run without being filmed...on PRIVATE PROPERTY.

  • Little good did their "rights" do them though....See when you decide to streak you kinda forgo rights in this youtube age. Live and learn I guess..... :)

  • agreed!!!

On another note, some freshman may still be 17, and taping naked minors isn't something the Somerville journal should be doing.

  • If there 17, they shouldnt even be out there

  • nazi

  • No one forced them to get naked. They are in a public place, so it is not a privacy invasion.

  • WRONG! A "Private University" is one not funded by the state where it's located. As far as the issue with private property is concerned. A public place is defined in MA as any place that the public readily has access to without having to break any type of barrier (window, door, gate). This quad area is not private and the university is not enclosed in gates. Any member of the city/town boardering Tufts has every right of access to your "private" university

  • Suggested reading material: National property boundary laws. Also, they cleared it with the city, police even help make sure the event stays safe.

  • @drewqb112000 Not true. Higher Education Law states that colleges are their own autonomous entities. State aided schools (no school is state funded...actually no school even gets 50% of it's operating budget from the state anymore due t higher education being a discretionary item) must abide by the constitution but they are allowed certain graces. Private schools are their own entities entirely, and if they choose, could press trespassing charges on anybody that entered their grounds...anybody!

  • I think the tufts kids are whiny brats. And, you can't really see anything because it's from behind and the video quality still sucks). I don't care about any traditions. I don't think stalking people (ala People Magazine) is ethical, but I'm sure some of the students that complained probably subscribe to it. Celebrities don't go out on the streets or to the beach or a restaurant with the hope that the media will photo their every move.

  • A more appropriate video should have been one of the non-students who came to watch in their lawn lawn chairs. Their wives might not be so happy to see where their hubbies really were that evening!

  • not one black person....

  • Yes there are black people running NQR. lol. You just didn't see them yet. Tufts is a diverse school. Every1 who wants to get naked, gets naked!

  • NQR is a Tufts tradition, NOT a media sensation! Tufts students, unite against this media outrage by joining the Facebook group: "NQR 2007: a Tufts Tradition, NOT a Media Sensation" on the Tufts network.

  • Was Spencer Tunick there to take pictures?

  • I love how the townie writes so knowledgeably about it as a "surprise event", as if every person at Tufts (read: people who are actually invited) don't get an email about it beforehand..

  • Give me break!! Whether or not Tufts is a private university is irrelevant. Any student who runs in the NQR and does not expect someone to videotape it and then post those images on the web is a fool.

Sorry, but running around butt naked on a college or university campus DOES NOT come with a reasonable expectation of privacy. It would be one thing if someone videotaped students in a shower or a locker room. That would be a violation of privacy.

  • NQR was around before videocams and youtube, even if technology changes enable new things to be done, doesn't mean it should be. Somethings are unwritten such as not filming or videotaping such an event. There is also a certain amount of trust inherent in the NQR, where other Tufts students would never broadcast what they tape publicly.

Words are enough to describe the event if it is to be reported but taking footage without permission on a private campus is probably grounds for a lawsuit.

  • "Trust" has nothing to do with it. The question here is one of common sense. Apparently the Tufts students who run in the NQR and then whine about a videotape of the event appearing on YouTube lack common sense.

If you run around outside butt naked in a heavily populated city, chances are someone will post a video of it on YouTube or some other website.

  • Why is this still up, honestly? This is just poor journalism. It's one thing if you are a creepy spectator, it's another if you are acting as a JOURNALIST. This is in poor taste and bodes badly for this writer and newspaper...

  • This video should not exist, as it was clearly stated by Tufts that there was to be no videotaping of the event, period.

  • You run the NQR or see it. No one is supposed, let aside allowed, to take pictures nor take videos because if we wanted to get seen by everyone we would have started a career as porn actors, don't you think?

  • NQR is a Tufts tradition, NOT a media sensation! Tufts students, unite against this media outrage by joining the Facebook group: "NQR 2007: a Tufts Tradition, NOT a Media Sensation" on the Tufts network.

  • Lotsa dumpy asses. Keep runnin o ye Tuft's students. Less starch more tofu.

  • All I got to see was ass. Is it too hard to ask for a front view, wait nevermind. It was mostly a sausage fest so it ain't worth going through that

  • shameful. public or no, and we may debate the ramifications of a 'private' university all we like - frankly, it's as private as anyone's home when it's not fenced in, but you don't videotape your neighbors, eh? - regardless of which, this is not an event to be broadcast. the irony that someone could take and post this video, thereby disproving any semblance of understanding of the event, and then write an article as pretense of such understanding, is astounding.

  • That was a fun night.

  • "In public" is misleading descriptor. Tufts is a private university and, as such, is private non-taxable property. I fail to see how the event is "public" in any way that involves the community outside the school. Those who are not in any way related to the school or event have no business taking covert photographs and video of students running.

  • it's a public campus anyone can walk on and off whenever they want.

  • Either way, the guy who runs in boxers should be shot in the head. It's a naked quad run, douche.

  • dude if you run naked in public why are you pissed that people are seeing you do it?

makes no sense. leave the video up. idiots.

  • Some people run the NQR with hats, others do it with capes and scarves. Next year I'll be doing it with a nine iron, breaking video cameras like these.

  • I can even see my a** in the video and this is not what bothers me. This article was simply poorly written parts were ripped straight from wikipedia. Even a local Somerville publication cant seem to afford to put effort into what could be an interesting article (even without a single picture!). If this was the case, not only would we have an interesting article describing what could be revered as one of our most sacred traditions (yes it means that much), but then no one would be offended

  • i ran, and yes, i found myself in the video. we're running around on an open campus, so all that 'private' stuff is bullshit.

it's seedy, sure, but what else do townies have to do? the guy running by calling everyone on the sidelines a pussy was right on, and if you find naked people running in the cold sexual, then you have other problems too.

  • Some reasonable points:

    1. It's only backsides.

    2. It's in public.

    3. Regardless of the legality, is it a decent thing to do?

Personally, because it's only from the rear, I think this passes the litmus test of something safe and cheesy.

  • Oh c;mon - I'm a tufts parents and I think its cool.

Your generation should know better then mine - there is no privacy in the age of the internet.

    We're all Brittany Spears.

  • In addition to what my fellow students have been saying, it is inappropriate to post such a video that showcases a PRIVATE event on a PRIVATE university campus. Have you no shame? You're not even a Tufts student. If you WERE, you would be allowed to participate, and if you DID, you wouldn't want someone to be filming you as you tried to de-stress before final exams, AND IF you DID run, you would KNOW that cameras are NOT allowed.

  • Fucked angle; let's see some frontal nudity. What have college students come to, being so damn sensitive.

  • i urge you to take this down. you are not even a tufts student, which means you really shouldn't have been at the event, much less with a camera.

its one thing to write an article for a little journal nobody's even heard of, it's a whole other one to put this video on youtube. it's unethical, to say the least

    --another quite liberated tufts student

  • I was in the event though I did not run it, neither did I have a camera. Anyways, I believe the same concept of freedom who let some voilate some social norms running naked, will give permission to some other to videotape whatever they want in a public place!!!!! (At least I believe that the latter makes more sense!!!)

  • wait... i just noticed you're a creepy townie from somerville... don't you have anything better to do with your time than film Tufts students? Grow up.

  • As a Tufts student who ran the NQR, I think it is really perverted and fucked up to stand there in the cold and film this. I think you should get off your lazy ass and run it, and then see how you feel when someone is videotaping you. And yes, there are thousands of us who run it every year in the freezing cold.

  • you are a huge creep

  • This is journalism? You'd be just like Anderson Cooper if he were a creepy pervert who "reported" on stuff with absolutely no relevance.

  • I urge you personally to take down this video immediately, to prevent more harm to more people and potential legal action against your person.

    Sincerely,

    Tufts Student.

  • guy who put this up, ur a 33 year old guy living in sommerville, u are a huge f*g and a total creep, and shuld really take down this totally not chill video. i really wish that your camera was swatted, and u have encouraged me to next year when i run take video cameras and smash them on the ground, which has been done in the past, u f***ing a** hole, someone shuld stab u in the heart

  • This needs to be taken down. I love NQR, it's a great tradition... but there shouldn't be videotaped and put on youtube... honestly.

    Rule #1 is no cameras.

  • Actually, it isn't all that awkward at all...except when you actually see the townies videotaping the runners like this (at least this only shows their backs, fronts is much more awkward [and interesting]).

  • Absolutely incredible night

as a freshman, this was my first one and it was so much more than i expected.

saw a few of my friends which was always funny

  • as a tufts student, i can honestly say that there are HUNDREDS of students running laps around the resquad. it's amazing. best night of the year.

  • My daughter the valedictorian - and then she went to Tufts - so this is what a $50,000.00 a year Tufts education is all about. Knew there was a reason that it was so hard to get in

  • Honestly, this was less than an hour during a semester of almost two and a half thousand.

Sure, it is a relatively official event that is a little outrageous and that many people enjoy going to (not necessarily even most people), but it doesn't really relate to what the education is about or even what the social life is like.

If this was a joke, it is funny, lol.

  • My comment was for fun. Anyone taking the video seriously has too much time on their hands. College is about bonding - even in frigid weather- It is about learning and experimenting and not hurting others in the process. It is about finding out who you are and letting other people in. (even if it means bearing your "soul".

  • awkward. lol

  • actually over a thousand

  • did hundreds participate in this, or is it the same dozen running in circles?

    "pussy pussy pussy pussy pussy!"

  • did hundreds of students participate or does this video show the same dozen running in circles?

  • i love seeing so many naked guys
