  • I want one !

  • the helmet looks like dead space

  • that is quite exceptional sir :D Adore the helmet

  • wow thats awesome but try to put some battle damage

  • lol it kinda looks like the old styled shredder from tmnt

  • where can you get the foam/supplies for this armour??

  • @sk8boardn101 every hardware store

  • This gave me a idea to make a futuristic riot sheild thanks man

  • @131ThatKid no prob

  • Armor ....not armour lol

  • @dhillareguy

It's nation dependent. It could go either way.

  • Nice guitar !

Good work on the armour !

  • the turtle neck isnt really made to prevent cueside !

  • You can make the turtleneck more comfortable by tilting it forward, and then you won't be choking yourself on it. >.> People forget that their neck and head doesn't stand straight like a Marine "at attention".

  • Yay, a BSG fan!

  • Heheh, the helmet looks like the old-school Cylons from the original BSG.

  • @ThePathular yeah i was trying to move away from that look, but not very hard it would seem.

  • awesome guitar solo!

  • @spider1g5 thanks

  • if you get a little bigger arms, you would look awesome in that armor ;)

  • I am going to do this but make a H.E.V. suit from half life saga

  • where do you get the materials for it?

  • @somadavenport any hardware store

  • @jacobk42 wow that was a fast reply xD and sorry if i missed you saying that in the video my sound is broken

  • u got 99 vids and a tutorial for this aint 1

  • @GalaxyProductionz never said it was

  • @jacobk42 i know but it should be. that armor is way better than the indymogul one. i want templates for the arm pieces and helmet.

my previous comment was a song reference btw

  • @GalaxyProductionz yeah i got the reference. you just have to take really good measurements of your head to build the helmet. their portal gun tutorial shows how to make the curved pieces.

  • @jacobk42 oh, ok thanks man :D

  • @GalaxyProductionz no prob

  • @jacobk42 oh and how did you make the knife so it can move on the arm?

  • @GalaxyProductionz wooden dowel as a hinge

  • @jacobk42 but wouldn't it just flop around everywhere? or did it lock in place somehow?

  • @GalaxyProductionz Hot Glue

  • Bad ass my friend.

I'm going to create some on my own with the BFX style too! Except, I'm a 13 year old kid, I'm using a foam camping pad which is thinner than foam mats, and I don't have a heat gun, so I'm using my family's oven.

    Any tips you've discovered?

  • @TheOceanspray99 i wouldn't use an oven because it's too difficult to control the molding process and you'd probably end up melting the foam and creating toxic fumes. A heat gun only costs $25 so you might as well buy one.

  • @jacobk42 Well, the foam pad has been rolled up for a while, so it's already in it's bent form. I suppose that I could simply skip the heating phase.

  • so what are you going to look like a mandolorian?

  • @Blue138UEF nope. just a random faceless foot-soldier

  • Epic build bro! In the future it might be better to use superglue; it dries clear and doesn't create a visible layer that sticks out between two pieces like hot glue.

  • How did you put in those Designs into the chest peice. I've been thinking of how to do it but I dont really have anything.

  • @ImAwesome4728 The raised star-like design is cut up pieces of foam that are hotglued to the chest plate. The grooves were cut into the surface with the edge of my dremel tool. The circle "Bolts" were made with the end of my dremel tool. Basically, you need a dremel with multiple attachments.

  • @jacobk42 hi! is the foam smooth on the front and metalic on the back? thanks

  • @reallylongusername03 yeah, but i wouldn't call the rough side metallic

  • @jacobk42 thanks a lot! i like it both smooth and metal sheet form so it looks like real metal. i like your videos

  • @reallylongusername03 thanks, I'ma try to do more build tutorials later in the month

  • @jacobk42 ok ill keep watching.. ill try to make an armor with gatling gun. ill start right now so next year halloween i have a cool costume

  • @jacobk42 some ideas for sci fi robot: gas mask helmet, shoulder cannon

  • i wouldve made a diff helm but over all nice build PROPS

  • i like how you put under dog by kasabian

  • where did you get the foam mats?

  • @1silverboy any hardware store

  • ah ze turtle neck! it doez nodthing!

    (rofl)

    nice build btw :)

how did you get the curved pieces to stay curved?

  • @MissSlins93 you have to heat them up with a heat gun ($25 tool that looks like an industrial hairdryer) and then hold them in the shape that you want for several minutes.

  • @jacobk42 i was able to use a hairdryer for just a few seconds :P

  • Looks like knight armour...

  • Not very clean at all...but still CRAZY badass!

  • Dude, even it wasn't Halloween I would be amazed with somone walking that down the street. Thats freaking awesome

  • @ImAwesome4728 thanks man

  • Thanks, and i was thinkin the bumpiness could be uncomfortable or cause some chaffing.

Great work btw. U think its possible tp make a boba fett helmet this way?

  • @KadSkirata absolutely

  • Can i sand the texture away so some parts arent bumpy?

  • @KadSkirata sure, but one side has no texture so you could also just flip it

  • so how mu7ch was this in total and how long?

  • @chomsary probably around $30, but i already had most of the materials so i only had to pay $18 for the foam. how long depend on you. the more time you spend on it, the more real/awesome it will look. I'd say at least a day if you did nothing else but eat.

  • Where did you find those 3 dollar utility belts? Epic work btw

  • @TheKUkraine most of them I cut from unused map bags but i think you can buy them in packs at a hardware or hobby store

  • where did u find the foam mats to use

  • @MrJamboy4 literally any hardware store. they come in packs of 4

  • @jacobk42 thanks

  • Excellent work!!! Really good. I'm still working on mine.

  • what did you use to attach the velcro or cloth that holds stuff togeather?

  • @MrPandapancake just hotglue

  • Nerd power at it's greatest. We're so awesome.

  • Nice Build!

  • did you use the 10mm or 12mm thick mats???

  • @Stepchild06 I did not check, but it really won't make a difference

  • unless ur a millionarre!?!?

    0.0

  • @TheDeconify I assure you I am not.

  • dude this armor is awesome! this shows that u dont need a multi million dollar budget to get the job done. nice 1 man

  • how did you attatch the shoulder pieces?

  • @crumpler56 i hot glued a strap leading from the top of the shoulder piece to the collar and attached another strap with a buckle that loops under the armpit.

  • Damn, this looks amazing!!! I'm even more inspired to make a Thrall costume for my boyfriend now!! =D Do you know if that stuff can be painted enough so that the grey is completely covered?

    Nerds are awesome!!

  • @chinimasse thanks. yeah, it can be totally covered but you may need a couple base coats.

  • " aahh, zee turtle neck, it does nothing" hee hee heee

  • Great job! love the song

  • @stapleshotz probably my favorite Kasabian track

  • Love it dude. Especially the helmet.

  • nice build you make the templates yourself? i also saw the indy mogul vid

  • @DdrumLegend yeah I did, but for some parts I just traced onto the foam with a Sharpie and ruler instead of using templates.
