This Russian yacht arrived on Aug. 6, 2010 and is now harbored alongside near Cesar Chavez Park in San Diego. It can be viewed from the boardwalk or closest from the north end of the park. I suggest those that can go take Cesar Chavez Pkwy (exit 14B from the 5 frwy southbound) and make a left continuing right onto Cesar Chavez Pkwy then straight to the park's parking lot entrance. It's a magnificent view on the boardwalk with the Coronado Bay Bridge to the left and the "A" on the right side.

Ich habe sie im Juli 2009 im Quaie des Milliardaires in Antibes/Cote d'Azur/Frankreich gesehen. Geil, einfach nur geil, dieses Teil. Man sagt, einmal Volltanken heißt bei dieser Yacht die Klenigkeit von 800.000 Litern Diesel bunkern (und bezahlen, weia!). Weiterhin hat das Ding ständig 100.000 Liter Frischwasser an Bord. Zum Duschen braucht man so um die 30-40 Liter....

That's a "tumblehome" hull design. Same thing the US Navy is using on the new DDX destroyer (Now known as the Zumwalt Class). If it will work for a 3.3 billion dollar destroyer, it should work here too. However, unlike the DDX this yacht doesn't carry the true tumblehome design down the whole length of the hull. Not a bad thing tho' as this yacht retains the self-righting hull characteristics of your traditional flared hull. DDX retains the full tumblehome to deflect radar energy ie stealth

but u can read in the issue of "meer & yachten" nr.05/2008: as faster it drives, the water resistance goes down.(exp.:10kn=big waves, 15kn=medium waves, 25kn=min. waves[if u want pix, plz pm])

the owner is probably mr. melichenko, for 99% safty.
