A year ago, this happened to me. I remember all those horrible memories, but my scars (emotionally and physically) , have vanished because God is so good, that he even bothered to love and create me in the first place.

God has nothing to do with it....If you lived with abuse in any way shape or form, now or ever, kid or adult...You would understand this. Pretty great song...I like people who have the strength to write about abuse, too many die before they can voice their personel hell (Where was GOD then). I've been having a personal issue I'm trying to get over and one day I just broke down crying and swore on the bible that I would never do it again. I felt better because I finally thought I was done for good. Last night I did it again and now I feel awful. I broke my oath and I just want to die now. I've apologized to God so many times and asked for forgiveness and this time I really don't feel like I deserve it.

@TreeHugger116 I can promise you, you do deserve forgiveness. Even if you believe you don't deserve it, God WILL forgive you. I've had personal issues of my own (who knows, it could be the same issue), and I felt the same way, as if He would never forgive me, but He did. I've been freed from my chains for a few years now, and I can promise you, it gets better, so long as you trust God to help. Just keep your head up, and listen to what God is trying to tell you. He WILL help you!

I've been going through a great deal of depression lately and I was starting to pick up cutting after a period of acute anxiety and heartbreak. But I'm one of those lucky few. My friends are just too observant. They noticed what was going on right away and gave me a shoulder to lean on. I'm getting the help I need now, but I wouldn't be able to if it wasn't for the friends I have. I may feel alone sometimes, but no matter what they're always there for me <3

I cut a couple of months ago, and i told my mom's friend. She was nice about it, and told me that she would help me get through it. And then a couple of days later, me and my friends got together at my house, and i went to help one of my mom's friend bring food out of her car to bring it into our house, when she noticed the scars on my arms. she asked me where they came from and i told her that i cut. I told her to tell my mom, and she did, Later that day my mom grounded me. This song helps me.

God wouldn't let me kill myself because He has big plans for me. It's hard to trust in something that is intangable. I love Britt Nicole. Her lyrics are so.. meaningful, and anyone can connect to them. I used to be just like this girl a couple months ago, and I'd hide my cuts under long sleeves all the time. The feeling of being in this position is horrible, but Britt wrote it so well. Have faith, and you'll get through it. Brilliant song.

@20studmuffin14 It's been a year now that i had any desire to feel physical pain to stop the emotional. Finding God on my life road was the best thing that could of happened to me, now i could never go back.

i dont believe in god but i love this song and it makes me cry thinking about how my life is just like this my mum used to be married this man who i hate and me and my sister have anger problems and stress disorder and we have to move away about 5 times a year because he starts to hit my mum and we just live in terror but i love this song and it makes me think how my live has changed even though its not perfect

Oh My God, I sometimes wonder, why. Why does the maker of this universe love me? He is so big, I am so small, why would he even care for me?! He doesn't need me he has millions of other people to look after! But for some strange reason, for some beautiful reason, he cares about a sinner like me. And he cares about you too! I've been having a personal issue I'm trying to get over and one day I just broke down crying and swore on the bible that I would never do it again. I felt better because I finally thought I was done for good. Last night I did it again and now I feel awful. I broke my oath and I just want to die now. I've apologized to God so many times and asked for forgiveness and this time I really don't feel like I deserve it.

@TreeHugger116 I can promise you, you do deserve forgiveness. Even if you believe you don't deserve it, God WILL forgive you. I've had personal issues of my own (who knows, it could be the same issue), and I felt the same way, as if He would never forgive me, but He did. I've been freed from my chains for a few years now, and I can promise you, it gets better, so long as you trust God to help. Just keep your head up, and listen to what God is trying to tell you. He WILL help you!

@msjuicygirl007 suicidalbunny is just saying her testimony about her life and I think that how God changes peoples lives is beautiful and I think that you seriously need to consider being a Christian because what God has done in everybody's life is Sooooooo beautiful and he could do that kind of stiff for u and he has done it or all of us :) for someone to be suicidal and cutting themselves and suddenly turning into a Christian is very beautiful

I've been going through a great deal of depression lately and I was starting to pick up cutting after a period of acute anxiety and heartbreak. But I'm one of those lucky few. My friends are just too observant. They noticed what was going on right away and gave me a shoulder to lean on. I'm getting the help I need now, but I wouldn't be able to if it wasn't for the friends I have. I may feel alone sometimes, but no matter what they're always there for me <3

I was suicidal not to long ago. I was the kid who no one liked, no one wanted to talk to, could never make any friends. Then I heard this song, and I realized my life could be a load worse. Thanks Britt, this song modivated me to make the most out of life

@TheJiamy My heart goes out to you because from the time I was sixteen until about 13 years ago I was set on suicide I can totally identify with what you said then one day my path crossed with a beautiful lady that shared the love of Christ with me.I accepted Jesus as my Lord and savior Have you accepted him as savior?

i personally dont know how it feels but my friend did she finally got through it and now is all about god i no she has a hard time though bc she lost a lot of her old friends along the way but im glad shes here and everytime i hear this i think about her n it makes me cry i hope all of you can get through it n find people how care about u n people that will encouge you....and remember god can fix anything

I cut a couple of months ago, and i told my mom's friend. She was nice about it, and told me that she would help me get through it. And then a couple of days later, me and my friends got together at my house, and i went to help one of my mom's friend bring food out of her car to bring it into our house, when she noticed the scars on my arms. she asked me where they came from and i told her that i cut. I told her to tell my mom, and she did, Later that day my mom grounded me. This song helps me.

I used to be really depressed and I cut myself but after I moved I told myself I wouldn't. I haven't cut for almost a year and now I have the best friends you could ask for and I have the greatest bf in the whole wide world!! Having people that actually care makes a HUGE difference!!! And its all thanks to God for bringing me here!

I want you to know your suffering won't last forever. trust me I was once abused my my parents, but now God has placed me into another family that loves me and that cares for me. They won't ever hurt me. not only that but my sisters were adopted with me into the same family. God may not save you physically but he has saved you spiritually. suffering will help you persevere. if you ever need to talk to someone I'm here. so is the Lord.

I don't cut anymore. Haven't in a while. I switched addictions and began using drugs. I don't cry, I numb. I know God will help me. He has saved me 5 times. I have died twice, but doctors revived me. God wouldn't let me kill myself because He has big plans for me. It's hard to trust in something that is intangable. I know God will take care of everyone who trusts completely in Him and lives every day with love. Remember that everyone you encounter is fighting their own battle. Be compassionate.

I get beat at home by my "dad", Jason. My mom and dad died in a car crash when I was seven. I don't even get why Jason beats me. I've tried to tell my neighbors but they just send me home not knowing what I'm trying to say to them!

I love Britt Nicole. Her lyrics are so.. meaningful, and anyone can connect to them. I used to be just like this girl a couple months ago, and I'd hide my cuts under long sleeves all the time. The feeling of being in this position is horrible, but Britt wrote it so well. Have faith, and you'll get through it. Brilliant song.
