@kipkosky There's some mechanic in the game I believe that involves throwing and recatching the turnip before it fades/disappears. By doing so, it expands the grab box of it I thinkkkkkk... and seeing how the turnip survived infinitely, it was grabbed and rethrown many times *before it faded* so it accummulated a lot of these "grab box" expansions... so essentially by the end of the game, either player could grab the turnip from pretty much anywhere on the stage. I think...

I think thrown.... but i could be wrong, there's a video that specifically talks about it. Someone used AR to make the turnip not disappear in order to illustrate that trait. I can't remember if the throws connected or not, though.

Its the number of times caught that matters.

It's when you throw it. If you Z drop and catch it the box doesn't grow. I know it also works on Mr Saturns, but grows much slower. Might work on some other items too.

the best thign about this match is that at first they thought they had to be close to the stitchface to z-grab it, then later in the match if you notice they both started to realize you could grab it from anywhere on the map lmfao soo good.

Each time you grab/throw the same turnip, the distance you can be to regrab it gets bigger, so that's why they were able to grab it from across the stage. You can try it with any turnip.

As far as I know, nobody has figured out how to do this. I've seen the same thing happen when a Peach tried to throw a beam sword, and it just got stuck in the air.
