The problem that I have with the X-Men movies as they current are is that they are obviously made for movie goers who have absolutely no inkling of an idea about the breadth and scope of the X-Men universe or how it fits into the greater Marvel continuity and expect that the fans of the comics will simply see the films and say "Oooo, special effects pretty." What's wrong with making a film like the LOTR trilogy which successfully catered to both the fans of the books and newcomers alike?

Azazel is nightcrawlers dad, and he fathers other mutants that dont look normal, but also despises normal looking mutants. He has Mystiques and nightcrawlers ablilities but also has massive destructive powers to, like bolts of energy or so.
In my opinion, they should start from scratch like they are doing with Spider-Man. They could start from the very beginning and have the original 5 X-Men characters and work their way up in the sequels and have characters like Wolverine and Nightcrawler.
But who knows, this movie might actually be pretty good. Wonderful video!

Can someone please explain to me how Beast is a mutant in X-Men: First Class, Human in X2: X-Men United, and mutant again in X3: The Last Stand?! If this movie is supposed to be a prequel, as opposed to a relaunch of the franchise, then they made a HUGE mistake.
Feeling better about this movie now; this late in the game and no Trailer is a bad sign (I mean, we've been seeing 'Cowboys and Aliens' trailers since last summer), but they may pull this off.
Still not sure about some of the characters though, and Emma being older in this movie than she was in the Wolverine movie.
Wolverine was a great movie.. just to bad it got leaked on the internet, that really lost alot of credit for it, because prople saw the "unfinished" version before the complete...
