  • What sadist did figure out the colorsheme on the inside?

Given how good Japanese are with design and how much they focus on it that had to be deliberate !

  • how do you have time for making videos while the most people are working in japan ?

like when you filmed the cinema

  • omg i thought the cook was a real person. lol

  • Awesome. Ride the waters and break the ice. Much love for Japan.

  • This is a Antarctic Expedition Ship.

  • guys are statues?

  • Yeah,like a museum.

  • Is this what they call Shirase?

  • No, it is Fuji.

  • Are you growing a beard (2:43) or is it just the lightening?

Anyways: thanks for posting the videos about Japan! Most of them are really interesting. I prefer those about livestyle in general to those about one attraction in particular, but that's just me.

Hope, you will post again soon!

  • At first I was like "wow you're getting right up in that cook's face!" then I realized it wasn't real ^_^;;

  • nice!!!!

  • Those animatronics are straight outta uncanny valley.

  • Man those manicans (spelling?) look so real! :\ Really interesting to see what goes on in such a big ship.

Keep the awesome videos comin' =D

  • Wow, those puppets look like real humans!

  • nice dude

  • Ahh...the comforts of life on a working ship(as oppose to a cruise ship).

  • ive never been a fan of military ships...or aircraft, or vehicles. :/

  • An icebreaker is a civilian ship (although sometimes they are run by coast guards). Which actually begs a question for TJCDC guy--who operates them in Japan? JSDF, Coast Guard, or civilian? Without them, a lot of trade would be cut off during the winter, even if the ocean around the port/harbor doesn't freeze, the port/harbor can. Also, researchers can hire them & use them as well for scientific study (a friend worked on 1 here in the USA about 10 years ago & is always telling me about it).

  • :O thanks for the explanation. it looked like something made for battle...haha, i guess that gave me away as an " all ships look alike " type of person. :P

    thats interesting, though.

  • sort of reminds me of the Vaults in Fallout 3 :D
