Ein traditionell Münchner Senf ist kein rein süßer Senf - ist er mit etwas Meerettich vermischt, damit der Senf leicht scharf und nicht so süß ist. Passt geschmacklich perfekt zur Weißwurst.

Aber ich esse die Weißwurst auch gerne mal mit einem Hauch von Salz und frischer Zitrone! Sollte jeder mal versucht haben.

Die professionelle Methode des Weißwurstkochens: leicht gesalzenes Wasser in einem Topf auf 65 °C (!) erwärmen, Weißwürste hineinlegen und 20 Minuten bei konstanter (!) Temperatur ziehen lassen.

Salz und richtige Temperatur sorgen dafür, dass die Weißwurst nicht an Geschmack verliert.

Und wie man sie isst, ist Geschmackssache.

Außerdem schmeckt es mir gezutzelt mit süßen Senf am besten.

Und ich hab 32 Jahre Erfahrung damit ;-)

Its strange because if you eat a weißwurst the "traditional Bavarian way", most Bavarians will know you're a tourist because it's an almost "overdone" method. Plenty Bavarians eat Weißwurst with a fork too. I've heard a million different things from a bunch of different Bavarians so who knows...haha. Still lecker though!

Oiso, in München ist ma d´Weißwurscht mit Messer und Gabel - aber es gibt wohl auch ein paar Neandertaler die´s Zuzeln (kommt übrigens aus der Zeit, als das Brät, also der Inhalt der Wurst nicht schnittfest war - was an der damaligen Verarbeitung lag - und vor 12 Uhr - noch älter - damals gabs noch keine Kühlung!)

Korrekt - sowas nennt man in Bayern Tradition! Das Nachgehen von Traditionen haben heute selten einen "logischen" Hintergrund. Und wenn Du meinst, dass in München die Weißwurst von den meisten mit Messer und Gabel gegessen wird, hast Du auch Recht - aber von diesen Traditionsverweigerern grenze ich mich ab ;-)

Ich habs versucht, es ist nicht besser! Und die meisten, dies Zuzeln wissen nur net wie man eine Weißwurst mit Besteck ist, ohne dabei auszusehen wie ein Depp.... (in unserer Familie wird die Wurst nachweislich seit mind. 5 Generationen nicht gezuzelt - also ist es für mich auch Tradition ;-) )
