it drinks gas like few other vehicles on the road... I owned an 06 and loved it, great engine, lots of room to put stuff in back. Nissan makes the best trucks on the road...but the new 4x4 s are 30k and up, priced too high. The Wrangler has little cargo space and the top is a nightmare to operate. I like the 2012 w the new engine though.
I love my '07 Xterra. Great for the outdoors yes, but it's great for city as well. It's weird there are only 3 outlets on the '09 and 4 on mine. Unless they just can't remember the one in the far back. The only con is the plastic interior, scratches a little too easy for me. But other than that it's my favorite vehicle I've had yet, fast too.
the best feature of my xterra is that its 2nd row can fold flat so i have no problem sleeping in it at nights of my road trips. So i can use the money i saved from motels to pay for the gas :)
i have a 2000 nissan xterra 4 cylinder. it is a nice little rig. its real versatile and it like s to get dirty. only thing about it is (and they dont make these anymore) the 4 cylinder engine is a tiny bit slow, 11 seconds to 60, and VERY harsh and buzzy sounding with the stock airbox/resonators. after a long ass 4 day road trip to the midwest, any car will sound silent. lol i modified the airbox to sound deeper and cancel out some of the harshness though. overall a great car.
really looking at getting an 08 xterra. have read nothing but excellent reviews about this beast, except a couple here and there talking about power windows or a/c leaking into the passenger seat? aside from that, though, these sound like amazing vehicles.
I had an '05 and loved it more than anything. These are the greatest all around SUV. I wheeled the heck out of it at Paragon and Rausch Creek offroad parks. It also protected me during a violent crash (it was totaled, but I walked away). I miss it every day.
@PandaUzumaki It is not ugly at all, and yes its big. Well its not big but its tall, its not a RAV4 or CRV its a real off road car with a mean useful look
xterras are amazing. they are so unique in their own ways and are always one of a kind. the base price is not 29k, that's the off road. the real base price is 21k for the s. if you are looking for thrift and fun, i'd recommend the s for about 23k
Love mine, love VDC control! Awesome upgrade, I had first got 2001 xterra then 2006. Feels so good driving, a sound system AMAZING and iPod hookup. Just LOVE it, I recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone else. A 261 horsepower engine, verses the old 170 horsepower on 2001. Turning corners feel it's like sports car it handles the road well. I'm more confident driving my XTERRA!
Great, we saw everything but the storage space, which was the only thing I wanted to see...
