  • good job buddy elephant... :) great video... kudos to you...

  • Lol....Thats awesome.

  • I really thought we were gonna see an elephant just helpin out with the clean up on his own, because he knew it was the right thing to do.

  • this is explotation animal not is help

  • @rodoo97 If humans can do hours of hard work helping to clean up Joplin, so can elephants!

  • The elephant made it look so easy!

  • She's a good girl.

Apparently her circus companions are African elephants, which I read weren't as suited for hauling because they're not as stocky. I realize elephants are more frequently used as pack animals in Asia than in Africa, but I would think the bigger African elephants would be stronger. Maybe it's a breeding thing.

  • was he helping or was he forced?

  • who ever owns that car needs to get Mr Elephant 40 or 50 bananas..ah hell...make it 100

  • KNOW YOUR RITES PEOPLE

LEARN YOUR RITES AS A HUMAN BEING! AND VIDEO EVERYTHING

ALWAYS HAVE A VIDEO MAKING DEVICE IN YOU BAG POCKET!

THIS IS THE FUTURE OF OUR HUMAN RITES BEING TAKEN AWAY!!

WHY DOES THE UNDERDOG ALWAYS WIN? NOT EVERYONE IS A TERRORIST WITH A CAMERA! GLASSES WITH CAMERAS BUILT IN 'HD' QUALITY FOOTAGE FOR £21 EVERYONE SHOULD OWN A PAIR! "GOD BLESS UK"

  • What the math? This is kinda wierd dude.

  • I think the best way to clean up that town, pile up all the wood and get some gas and burn it. Take the cars and pile them up and call the metal recycler to sell the scrap steel and buy everyone a meal and call it done. Pet the elephant because he worked his tusks off.

  • So....now you have a car for .....parts?

Seriously are people just figuring it out own their own?

  • very very sad scene!

  • ridiculous.

  • assists more like forced

  • stop chatting 0 weight words - if you wanne chat more efficient - join the effort

  • Impressive!

  • Probably much better then most modern equipment.

  • This is nothing but a media photo opp for a few idiots who need attention. Fucking rednecks.

  • @whatthefunkbiotch better than listening to scrooges, noobs, and goobs like you.

  • @whatthefunkbiotch better than listening to noobs, goobs, and scrooges like you.

  • Wish i could help..

  • Jon Stewart was here

  • holy shit, I thought this would happen only in a third world country like India...

  • would be nice if the g.o.p. fake elephants would haul out their sense of humanity and get out of the way of funding for the relief for these people.....I can dream can't I??

  • WHAT'ARONG WITH THIS PICTURE?? REPUBLICAN LEADER CANTOR CAN'T justify moneys to help tornado victims unless money taken from elsewhere but EVEN THE ELEPHANTS HELP OUT.!!!!

  • Glad they could help out in this situation.

  • that's some 1800's shit right there.

  • Wow elephants r strong :)

  • nice

  • *insert Dumbo reference here*

  • man, an elephant is strong!

  • Totally makes sense.

  • THIS IS DESPICABLE AND DEPLORABLE. Circus=a five letter word for EVIL. These opportunists have no shame. PROVIDE A FUCKING BULLDOZER TO HAUL THE DEBRIS, NOT YOUR ANIMAL PRISONERS, CIRCUS ASSHOLES.

  • @evelynjoyce I believe 'circus' is a six letter word.

  • Should have had the Kenyon King Obummer out there... Showing everybody how great is.... Oh, that is right... He is to busy, drinking $1000'00 a bottle wine.... And on vacation... Wonder how many rounds of golf he played on this last vacation...?

  • yabadabadoooo!! its the flinstones!

  • ! Lol awesome. And on a side point why would people want to hunt these animals?? I mean come on it's a frieking elephant!!!

  • What's weird to me is, It's my house, My car, And noone there asked me if It was okay? I mean, It's pretty cool but I hadnt finished diggn through what was left yet and after being looted, I don't quite understand why they did that without asking me first.. I was in that house when the tornado hit and lemme say, It was a crazy day. I am still trying to heal my severe injuries and sorta feel violated... But, I also feel like Wow!!! An elephant towed my car!!Wish i coulda been there.

  • Person 1: "Guys we need to move this car."

Person 2: "Hmm.. I've got an elephant..."

    Person 1: "....huh?"

  • Thumbs up if you were thinking, what the fuck is this elephant gonna do, pick up a 2x4 or something, and then the fucker pulls a destroyed car out of some rubble, and you were like, oh snap that fucker just yanked a car out of that like a hot wheels.

  • @kszys actually, fema came in a couple of days after the tornado and helped out tremendously. quit trolling.

  • I love how the circus can wing it so fast turning an entertainment show into a make shift recovery effort. To all the animal abuse folks, shove it up your ass. It's not abuse when humans try to remove the car by pulling it? To an elephant, pulling a car is like an adult pulling a shopping cart full of groceries. Can't believe you people are worried about animals when thousands of people have lost everything.

  • that how government is helping to people after tornado...

  • Jeez, lots of stoner hate around here. Considering that most of the full-time volunteers I know are smokers and when I was in college the bleeding-heart hippie crowd were the first folks you went to for donations of time and work, I don't know how y'all are associating smokers with all these bored haters. Stoners have better things to do, like stare at the wall until it's time for the Habitat house-raising.

  • Don't Ya Just Love The Fly Over Country !

Americans Are The Coolest People ! God Bless America!

  • I hope you animal rights whiners never go to the circus. Circus elephants spend their entire lives training to do tricks. They are used to doing things like this, and moving a car is probably a walk in the park for it. Does it look like it's struggling? Find something more constructive to complain about.

  • God bless the elephant!

  • african style

  • May the gods bless that helpful animal!

  • Best part? Zero emissions...

  • @SchnauzerVictim unless he farts =)

  • @SchnauzerVictim Zero emission my ass. Even a hamster has the equivalent emission of a plasma tv.

Captive animals are dependent on human food production, which means tractors and distribution networks etc... and an elephant has to eat a lot, plus they breath, shit and you can't turn them off.

It would be more ecologically responsible if we all drove around in a Dodge Ram while banning all domestic animals and stopped throwing food away.

  • @noxure Elephant emissions are welcome in my compost heap anytime, up to the limits of my ability to use manure. Can't say the same for what comes out of the exhaust pipe of a truck.

  • OMFG! That elephant just stole that car! Oh, the humanity! Let's bitch about that since the animal abuse argument holds just as much water.

  • animal abuse my ass. sounds like some people forgot they were human thx to our synthetic society

  • @mschark The exact same thing happened to my boots. Ripped the bottom in half off of one of them. Luckily I got another pair before going back out on Sunday. We were down the street earlier in the day and the circus crew helped us for a few hours. Saw first hand one of them step on a nail--the guy in purple on the right. His foot was bleeding but he just put his shoe back on and kept going. Bless you for your help.

  • All you people saying its not animal abuse are absurd...its not the elephant moving the car that's abuse...its the giant bullhook in the guys hand that they use to whack the elephants with that is abuse...sure he may not have used it in this video, but behind the scenes that is an abused animal.

  • @oxSam11 Have you forgotten that there are hundreds of dead innocents and still handfulls of missing HUMANS?

I think the elephant can handle it. I DON'T think the families of those who have been affected can handle the devastation that has landed in their laps without help.

    P.S. Go fuck yourself.

  • @KruNae I'm not downplaying the devastation of the people..I myself have donated money, but that doesn't make animal abuse right or less important..and to say the elephant can handle it is ignorant, no animal should have to "handle" abuse. Animals are not slaves, the same as people are not slaves.

  • @oxSam11 We are slaves to nature. I misread at firs I thought you said you donated a monKey.

  • @oxSam11 Did you ever consider it's nearly impossible to get machinery down there to help? Hundreds of people are injured or dead and you feel the need to complain about a whip. Elephants are incredible, graceful, strong animals and the amount of respect most circus folk have for them is immense. People are missing their mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers and if enlisting the help of one elephant helps them get found, so be it. I think the elephant can handle it.

  • @darknessisaharshterm You clearly need to do your research if you think circus folk have respect for the animals. 99% of them are abused and beaten and neglected their entire lives.

  • @vincehexum Stepped on 3 nails myself. Went through the boot but didnt pierce my foot. Hope you stopped and got one of the free tetanus shots anyway. The people there were so lovely considering how crazy it all was. Plan on going back in a few weeks to help more.

  • @vincehexum Yes I did get a free tetanus shot from one of the roaming nurses. I ruined the pair of boots I was wearing by getting snagged on some debris and tore the tread off....I had to wear it like that for the next day b/c I didnt have a spare pair. A nail went thru the second day, but I only got scratch. One of our team when through the floor of a house while carrying some cement rubble, but he was OK.. God Bless you for helping out too!!

  • screw what all the animal protesters think, I think this is awesome. I am sure the owners wouldn't do anything to hurt the elephant in the process. The elephant can do quite a bit of the same tasks that a crane would be required to do, but when the elephant is done it can be easily moved to another area where the crane cannot. It seemed a bit quirky at first, but I think it is a great idea.

  • How to train an elephant to steel a car...

  • @vassilisthebest steel a car? derrrrrrrrrrrr

  • haathi mere saathi !!!

  • Weak worthless human! How can you use an animal like that! It's not fair! Poor babies !! I HATE when animals are used like this! I don't care that It doesnt bother him, he's short of his freedom!

  • @susie96mjfan Shut your trap and go down to Joplin to help. You have no idea how helpful this animal is. I was there all weekend picking up rubble by hand, along with hundreds of other people. Yea, a tractor could do this, but good luck finding one that isn't already preoccupied clearing rubble from another one of the 5000 houses that are destroyed.

  • @vincehexum You are an idiot, you can't find a truck so you think its ok to abuse an elephant? That's not the elephants problem you can't find a fucking truck or dozer. Contact your gov and ask where the hell the heavy machinery is instead of abusing an already abused elephant. This just shows what a bunch of low lifers this area is composed of if they don't even have the education to understand what has been done to this circus elephant.

  • @sohcsarewicked wow.. people are dying and you are worried about an elephant. go fuck yourself.

  • @SmokeHashSpendCash FYI - I spent two days PICKING UP RUBBLE (or "rumble" as you spelled it) BY HAND. Maybe you should put down your hash pipe and get out of your parent's basement. I'm planning another trip to Joplin for the relief effort. Let me know when I can expect your HELP.

  • @mschark This smart assz does nothing but for themselve

  • @SmokeHashSpendCash haha you got owned

  • @SmokeHashSpendCash Wow, you posted a self-righteous comment from the safety of your home. How much time and effort have YOU donated to help anyone out?

  • @SmokeHashSpendCash only a pathetic loser would say such a thing.

  • What a Beast! Love it man! lol That elephant was like this is no problem, just kept trucking along!

  • This is how it should always be done, Humans + Nature.

  • back to basics

  • I don't believe the ele was used as a primary source of debris removal. Just a simple spirit lifter for the people of Joplin. They were unable to have the circus (which they were going to allow children free admission after the tornado) so they thought they would take the circus to the people. The ele is not in distress and spirits were lifted. Job well done Picadilly Circus!

Unless you live in or around Joplin you cannot imagine how important a simple spirit lifter can be. So shush haters.

  • Looks like a third world country!!! I though we could afford man-made machinery these days. Nice to see were all our tax money is going...I feel bad for the people of Joplin, The American gov has abandoned you once again, more interested in sending relief money to places like Haiti...what a joke

  • he just ascapet from ZOO!

  • THIS IS SO STUPID. GET A BULLDOZER.

  • @icollectrecords Go down to Joplin to help. You have no idea how helpful this animal is. I was there all weekend picking up rubble by hand, along with hundreds of other people. Yea, a tractor could do this, but good luck finding one that isn't already preoccupied clearing rubble from another one of the 5000 houses that are destroyed. For every 100 bulldozers needed, there is maybe 1.

  • If the elephant didn't want to help it wouldn't hehe

  • Joplin needs all the help it can get to find any bodies that may still be buried under the rubble. Unfortunately, the "animal rights" people care more about animals than human beings.

  • Stampee!!!!

  • People still use elephants to move things in countries like India etc. Its not animal abuse they've been doing that for hundreds of years and the elephants dont get hurt

  • Animals and humans working together living in harmony,.

  • Tornado took out the tow trucks, but not the elephants

  • @sdflksdfkfh

I like how you bitch about dumb shit...go fuck an animal in mexico already...dont worry its legal there

  • That car's got 120 horses under the hood and 1 elephant behind the hatch.

  • I like how the trainer is clearly beating the elephant with a baton.

  • @sdflksdfkfh

    I don't think that's a baton.. looks more like a crowbar.

  • @DeeStiller actually the military IS there. but thanks for playing.

  • animals actually enjoy a workout every now and then.

  • oh is that your car buried under a house? let me pull that out of there for you.

  • Seriously? Look at how easily he drags the car, if he were in unbearable pain, he would stop pulling it when it got out of the junk...

  • i dont get it, so an elephant moved a car....this is amazing?

  • Republicans finally helping out.

  • He Dragged the car >>>> like a Boss

  • Elephants are about the strongest animal on the planet. No doubt that some are abused in circus' but not more than they are abused hunted and killed in their natural habitat.

This is the kind of "work" that these animals need and love. They are capable of much more, I assure you.

I do not find this "animal abuse" in ANY way.

In fact I hear an outpouring of love and appreciation for this elephant from the people around there, cheering and clapping.

    YAY ELEPHANT

    (Does anyone know its name?)

  • like a boss

  • THIS IS TOO JOPLIN. I just spend two days there helping clear tornado debris. If you question the authenticity....check out the story about this elephant on WDAF Fox 4 News

  • @mschark IT's on CNN also.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheKilohotel Then prove it, troll.

    Prove this isn't Joplin.

Prove that an F5 tornado didn't just obliterate half the town.

Prove that there wasn't an elephant being used to help remove debris.

As they say in the "Show Me" state:

    "I'm from Missouri...SHOW ME!"

The burden of proof lies with you. Get off your fat fucking ass and PROVE IT.

  • haters gonna hate

  • Man you know this is America when you see a video like this

  • Elephants are BOSS

  • Car abuse !! Clearly you can see that the car doesn't want this.. Also, do you hear that noise of the tires scraping the road? CAR ABUSE !!

  • that elephant didn't even flinch at the weight.

  • One person says animal abuse and 200 white knights repeat the same insults for pages of comments.

You guys realize at this point they're doing this shit on purpose to piss you off, right? It's the same bullshit on every video. "animal abuse!!" "child abuse!!" "elderly abuse!!" "testicular abuse!!"

  • @asgoreth Hmmmm....... I don't see any animal abuse in this video. Just a elephant helping PEOPLE.

  • And what are those of you screaming "ANIMAL ABUSE!!!1!!122!!@@!1!" doing to help the people of Joplin? Donating money to the recovery efforts? Giving the rescue workers food and shelter? Sending your unused clothes or cell phones to the disaster area? Rolling up your sleeves and helping them clean up?

    No?

Of course not...you'd rather sit there with your thumb up your ass, watching YouTube vids of people actually cleaning up the mess, using whatever means they have available.

    Fuck you.

  • @kb7rky You tell 'em Kb. There are those who do, and those who just complain about the ones who do. Sad.

  • @BewareofFlatteries Thank you for the compliment.

Unfortunately, it's easier for the haters and whiners to sit in the comfort of their own homes and troll these message boards with their half-assed inflammatory comments to stir the hornets' nest, than it is to actually wipe the Cheetos stains off their greasy fingers, get off their fat asses and get out to help the disaster victims pick up their lives.

  • @kb7rky My goodness! I don't know if there was abuse. I do know that a lot of elephants are abused in training that is absolutely horrific. I hope this is not the case here. It looks like everyone was trying to help with the spirit of giving. Why do you assume, if folks are concerned about the elephant, that they're not also concerned about the people? I volunteer in animal shelters, yet I also have donated $ and time to help the people of Joplin. ALL God's creatures need care.

  • @kb7rky respect

  • @kb7rky No, idiot. Many of us who are against using/abusing Elephants in this way are ALSO donating our money and time to do what we can for the good folks of Joplin.

  • one of the most devastating natural disasters in fifty years killing hundreds of human beings and the circus brings an elephant around to move some shit around and the first thing that ran across someones mind is animal abuse? seriously? shame on you.

  • animal abuse? you people are joking right...

  • So whilst these people are without homes you guys are saying this is animal abuse. I don't wanna live on this fucking planet any more.

  • @Joshcoleiscool I've said for years that I am on the wrong planet.

Just waiting for the Mother Ship to come and GET ME!!!!

  • Why isn't the American government helping these people? It is nice to an elephant doing this, but surely several helicopters and 10000 troops would make the jobs easier?

  • @DeeStiller The American troops are all across the ocean somewhere killing brown people.

  • @DeeStiller One word: Cost.

  • @DeeStiller I was down there, and there are ALOT of troops. Armed National Guardsmen on every street corner, and police from dozens of cities patrolling. Until you walk up and down the streets and see how vast the damage is, you'd understand. It's terrible! I was down there this past weekend and I can certainly say that even if 1,000 bulldozers showed up, I could still find something for that elephant to drag around.

  • @vardoegers

I was there as well and they were VERY careful because stepping on a nail was a huge concern. Mostly, I saw this as an opportunity to cheer everyone up. I saw them move two cars in this area, maybe another, before moving the elephant (maybe to another area, not sure). As for all the abuse calls, they treated the elephant very respectfully and were all around a great group of people.

  • @sdfgw456456 I was down there this weekend, and yes, I stepped on a nail, it missed my foot though. People were getting hurt left and right from debris. It's just a giant chaotic mess.

  • To all of you idiots saying that this is animal abuse, it's not.

Is the elephant in any physical pain? Clearly not.

Is the elephant "not used to" pulling large objects? Maybe not, but it doesn't mean it isn't capable of doing so.

Have elephants been used to move heavy objects before? Yes.

Cows do it. Bulls do it. Horses do it. Elephants can do it too.

  • OH NO NOT A ELEPHANT MOVING THINGS!!! THEY HAVE ONLY BEEN DOING THIS FOR THOUSANDS OF YEAR AND AREN'T READY YET!!!

  • @bluent16 Do you even know how these animals are abused in circus life? You are an ignorant.

  • @bluent16: Love.

  • Not to inflict yet another disaster on the town but for once, I wish PETA was there. Even the dogs that sifted through the rubble at Ground Zero were given protective footwear.

  • @vardoegers You are a moron.

  • @Droedelzak No, your mother is. It's like a tank, but its not a fucking tank. It still needs all the protection that can be afforded it.

  • @vardoegers You do know that elephant skin is half a centimeter thick right? Go try to push a nail through half a centimeter of the toughest leather you can find. The elephants have all the protective footwear they need.

  • @Jagg3d3d93 Ever heard of sepsis?

  • @vardoegers Go eat your veggies. Dogs and elephants are different types of animals. Elephants are tanks compared to most of nature has. Also, this elephant is walking on nice clean ground, not smouldering metal.

  • @Shin00by 1) They are like tanks, but are not tanks. 2) Walking on "nice clean" ground? Eat some veggies yourself, seems like your brain cells could use the support.

  • @vardoegers

One of the more intelligent comments on this video. Too bad people don't take it the right way and can only come up with the unoriginally stupid "Go eat some veggies".

  • The company that owns these elephants abuses them, shame on anyone here who approves of this. This circus can't even get a license anymore in its own home town because of cruelty

  • @sohcsarewicked Where is the abusing part? All I see is a helpful elephant who is proud to be part of the human experience.

  • @isocrate27 You can go watch the video on youtube called "circus elephant abuse" then you can post back after you read all the animal rights violations this company has in google.

  • Comment removed

  • @isocrate27 Are you crazy? This elephant is with the Piccadilly Circus from Florida, I guess its acceptable for you to talk out of your ass and use and abuse as long as you get your way. You would never treat a dog like this elephant has been treated, infact if you did you would be put in jail. Do you work for Piccadilly Circus?

  • Comment removed

  • @isocrate27 It's hilarious you have nothing but rubbish to say. All you are doing is condoning animal cruelty.

  • Comment removed

  • @sohcsarewicked Who cares at this point. Are down there helping? Whether this circus abuses these elephants or not, until you go down there and see the mess first hand, you won't understand. It's a damn good idea to have this elephant helping.

  • Goddamn, that's a strong animal

  • Comment removed

  • Elephants, nature's trucks.

  • @chaoticbluberry They do enjoy doing heavy lifting.

  • Incredible Strength. Awesome video.
