  • How old are you friend?

  • It's so awesome that you're sharing your life/thoughts/time to promote this diet - for our wellbeing. Thank you.

  • hmm..jz wonderin, well, i may try it.

  • Toenail fungus goes away???? I am sold bro, buying that book today

  • Anyone on the 80/10/10: Hair loss, better or worse?

  • You forgot to add: "I'm cold all the time, I have to wear a vest indoors always"

  • Can you talk about Weight loss? So many people need to hear this and your the one they will listen too. Doug in Calif...

  • Wise words my friend.. we need more people like you in the world.. I eat nothing but all natural foods.. There is no other way! It's so simple.

  • Hi Mike, yeah I was about to ask the same question as Miesian (below)... I am going to try 80/10/10 for 40 days, but am anxious about what people have said about sex drive/libido decreasing -- Surely this can't be normal?? This might be a bit of an invasive question, but do you still have a strong sex drive/good erections with 80/10/10?... Just curious.

  • @urbanrootz Remember Mike runs up to 200miles a week so no drug free elite runner is gonna have much left after that for bedroom exercise. :)

Ive found my libido goes up but I aint running 2% of what Arnstein does. I do cycle a bit but its still minimal in comparison.

  • I agree the best investiment is your health--you are wealthy. I want the gift of vibrant health. I have just finished reading 80/10/10 diet, and I am starting Aug 20. Thank you for the video. Peace.

  • respect

  • hello,

how much flexability is in the diet?

i have a condition, galactosecemia, that doesn't allow for alot of tomatos, banana's 2/day max, watermelon, persimmons, papaya, or grapes. beans, peas, legumes, lentils and other foods. because they contain naturally occuring lactose/galactose.

  • @g9g9g9 if there is a lot which you must avoid, make a list and keep away from them at the grocery store or market. you can everything else that is a green vegetable, or fruit, there are tons of them and they all have great benefits. many people will focus on bananas because they are a high calorie fruit and when you're a raw foodist you need to eat a lot more to reach your 1500-2000 calorie goal.

  • What a wonderful contribution you have made! You expressed yourself beautifully and really drove home the point that living the 80/10/10 lifestyle is worthwhile.

Only a week on the 80/10/10 and loving it, I'm trying to get my husband to join me. He is strongly resisting (no reason given), but I think he doesn't like spending so much money on produce. Your video is going to be my marketing tool, and I'm sure he will be won over.

Many thanks. I await your next video.

  • I think your message in what to invest is the best financial advice I ever heard b/c if you keep healthy, then you keep all the money to yourself and not give it away to doctors. Very very good advice and you say it brilliantly so even hard-nosed Wall Street minded ppl can take that message ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK, pun definitely intended. And I'm glad your shit don't stink :-)

    Peace brother

  • And......UH, I really don't find it much of a problem that my crap stinks, isn't it supposed to, it is poop after all.

  • Thanks for the Video and bravo if this diet works for you. I tried a diet similar to this, low fat, lots of fruits and veggies, lots of carbs. I did very poorly on the high carb/low fat diet I was following. Some of the problems I had were, falling asleep or getting very drowsy after meals, extreme hunger, peeling/painful skin, very irritable, extreme-extreme cravings for FAT, depression......just to name a few. I do high fat and no/low carb, this is the best diet for me- no depression is great!

  • Hi Mike, My girlfriend is curious if your sex life improved or if you noticed a difference?

  • I lost the 'urge' for sex, and have a more natural feeling for 'love' instead of 'release' which cooked fats tend to ramp up. You get freedom from fat driven hormones when you go low fat raw. Yet you don't turn into a loser either! So yes, I would say there is a huge benefit.

  • @marnstein would this diet work well for bodybuilders.

or should we just stick with our proteins & carbs.

  • @marnstein Translation: I have very very low testosterone and libido

  • " i never have a booger!" LOL

  • haha i guess i am not eating organic food why should I. Your non organic is geneticly modified to sterilize you(ok thats not that bad for me) but maybe it causes other health conditions in the longrun. And its been treated with radiation. That is just scary. There is a war on health and wealth going on. i guess u all know what is coming, if not, u maybe dont want to deal with reality, if u do want to deal with reality watch my favorites on financial and politics stuff

  • i am eating almost exlusivly pesticide, fungicide, herbicide fruits and mostly not very high quality greens(not the best soil quality). its winter and i live on bananas and citrus fruit. Almost nothing else^^ Is their such a big difference, have u seen any measurable advantage by eating organic? (i am living in europe its still not allowed to import gmo food and radiated food, fruit prices are 3x times higher, nonorganic and organic, because the banks prevent africa from producing stuff)

  • its great to hear from you but what about candidda with high fruit diet?

  • Zero issues.

I'm an elite marathon and ultra marathon runner... I THRIVE on this diet and test my body to limits that no other 811er is..it WORKS!

  • thanks for reply, i am on this diet, and just finished 80/10/10 book i really like the book because he is not promoting any supplement, only telling how to eat fruits and vegetable which clearly shows his sincere nature

  • he's selling the book though?

  • i am on this diet from last 2 month and it changed my life

  • I read this book and love it and 2 years ago started to eat this way and was strict with it for 6 mnths but then I started eating cooked vegan food for dinner ---how do you keep 100% raw and what do you do at social events?

  • Everytime I stayed low fat raw I felt better than if I went with cooked foods. Cooked foods are addictive as hell and lead to endless chasing of more cooked foods - when you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, staying low fat raw is not 'hard' b/c you feel good all the time - all the time. How I feel trumps any social stigma issues that I have to deal with, and they aren't that hard to deal with...geez it's just a diet not a religion ;)

  • WOW! I am amazed with your progress. What do you suggest I do about my cooked cabbage? Where do you get your fats?

    Thanks for your wisdom.

  • I am so proud of you! Well done on your raw food goodness. I am over 2 weeks old in this way of diet and lifestyle and have noticed dramatic changes already, so can you imagine in 6 months! Well done and thanks for this. :)

  • you can eat 20 oranges at one sitting?

  • I love number one no smell awesome

  • Grow your own food perhaps? Recently got my garden going and sprouting after the scare of HR875 and learning about Ann Wigmore.

Search YT for 'upside down containers' & 'self watering containers' for some healthy FUN!

    HR1207>HR875

  • talk about cooked foods...i 'd like to know your opinion on the cooked foods.another question, i'd like to know if you were living in the north pole where it freezes, you would have a loooot of issues maintaining that lifestyle...true or false???in fact THE question is: is it possible to adapt the raw food lifestyle to every part of the world...north pole or africa or asia....where the weather is so differentor is it better to eat cooked food to maintain life?

keep up your lifestyle it is great

  • In all developed countries, fresh fruit and veggies are available - year round. So yes, you can eat this way all year round in cold climates or desert climates - all that matters that you have access to fresh produce. I live in NYC and cold winters are not a problem, I just need a warm jacket b/c I have low body fat, which is a good thing!

  • low bodyfat how much??? do you exercise<,,,

  • Benefits of this diet sound amazing! I've been watching your vids, I have had 2 many folks tell me that 811 will be detrimental to my health...but after watching vids like yours...I don't necessarily believe them! (I think that if 811 were to become popular, a lot of raw food businesses would lose money is the thing.)I want to try 811. I have but 1 inquiry: Do you think that it is imperative that I eat all organic? Organic is really expensive & hard to get down here near Mexico. Thanks!! Tash

  • I think if you are really going to make 811 your lifestyle and true commitment to health then yes, Organic is super important. For one thing, it tastes so much better, which is reason enough, but of course if you eat a ton of chemical laden foods, you are going to be poisoning yourself. If can't get cheap organic produce, yes this is a very expensive way to eat, but it's where your money should go, after all this is about your LIFE! For me, my goal is to move to Hawaii !

  • Hey. I loved your personal story. Do you're kids eat raw? I was wondering if they are doing well in school on the diet :P

  • Kids eat raw at home, and when they are out they eat what they are given, and yes it's not great, but I am going to let them live and learn too. One thing that is LAW is that they don't eat animal products, so I know they eat pizza and other junk food, but they know what is right and eat 75% or more super healthy.

  • Good job. There should be more testimonials like you to proof that this diet works. A lot of Rawfood Gurus are against the 811..please keep updates comin..

  • Can you make a video about Dental Issues. Do you have any Problems with your Teeth?

  • My teeth are good, and I don't brush that much...ooops! I think teeth issues are genetic. My wife is insane about her teeth and she still gets problems, whereas I am pretty lucky. I don't eat anything 'stickly' like dried fruit or processed foods so the sugars go in my mouth and down to my stomach as they are all very watery fruits, so my teeth are great on this diet more than any other I believe.

  • Nav

google an all natural product called ORAMD

also you have to make sure you eat alot of greens for great teeth

  • Thanks for the hint Acebaker...

Yeah, i think i ate too much acidic fruit and too little greens. Now i know that 811 is ment to consists of tropical fruits primarily.. however Teeth are totally fine now - even got better. 811 is Awesome! :)

  • This lifestyle really does work! No joke...I always feel better while doing this. I wish I didn't mess up for emotional eating like I do. I wish I could do this long term. or for life. I know I would be so much happier. Why can't I just do it already? Any advice, anyone>?

    Thanks marnstein-awsome, inspiring!!!

  • I tried many variations but this diet was causing me to have complete psychotic episodes. I would eat as much fruit as I could, feel good for 20 minutes than have a complete crash and emotional break down. Nearly ended up in the hospital a few times. Works for a lot of people though, I tried and tried and tried and couldn't get it to work for me. Good luck to all who try it though, and congrats if it works.

  • 'psychotic episodes' from eating fruit?? Co'mon that doesn't sound very real...uh, what do you eat so you don't have 'psychotic episodes'??

  • I theorize it's because my pancreas/adrenals can not handle the massive sugar intake. I assure you, psychosis connected to uncontrollable blood sugar is in fact a scientific reality. It's not uncommon to say the least. I've mentioned this to other people, other people doing high fruit also think it's some thing wrong with my pancreas. I know of two other people who have similar issues. Not every diet works for every one unfortunately, not even this one.

  • "uh, what do you eat so you don't have 'psychotic episodes'??"

The details of my current diet are kind of irrelevant. I was just sharing my experience with this diet. I'm no poster boy of perfect health, no sir. I'm still looking for the right balance for me. My diet is 100 percent raw organic, and I'm feeling much better now than I was on 80/10/10.

  • DameonWolfDemon, read arnold ehret's mucusless diet healing system. aside from being generally inspiring, he gives the scientific explanation of why most people fail when trying to go on this type of diet cold turkey, and prescribes a transition diet which for most people is better in the beginning & eventually will get you to the paradise diet.

  • I'll read up on it. However; I must say I'm already turned off it. Have you any idea how many people have tried to sell me the "paradise" diet? Why don't you start using phrases like, "This worked for me," or, "In my experience." Not "This WILL work." From what I've witnessed of so many people trying so many diets and so many cleanses is that one thing does not work for all. I've seen people beat cancer on nothing but raw cow butter when every thing else including fasting failed.

  • Yep, had similar problems when eating just fruit. Felt tired all the time and my pancreas went crazy from all that sugar.

  • i've tried eating just fruit long time, before.

It does take time to actually experience the good side of it. The first week was hell, that I guarantee. But after digesting the previous cooked crap and resting well, one would feel the difference afterwards. Gotta also eat LOTS of fruit at first..at least from what I encountered.

  • all my joints ached with a diet of Ramaine lettuce, cherry tomato, parsley, coriander, lamb lettuce, cabbage, bean sprouts, celery, cucumber.

  • ah.

    I'll be honest Cath,

I REALLY ain't into eating greens. Those are my pet peeves. I would rather eat cucumber out of the rest of them.

I eat them in small amounts when my body is newbie to eating high fruit, since the acidity needs to be adjusted to. I'd keep away from eating super dense acidic fruits like dates. =p

  • Great video!! I have just started the 80/10/10 diet and I was wondering how you know what to buy when you go to the grocery store? Do you plan out your meals for the entire week?

  • I buy what is in season, what I like, it's that simple. I go through phases where I eat lots of bananas, or make israeli salads, or eat tons of oranges, there is so much variety from week to week, month to month.

  • Fabulous video! Thank you!

  • Just some quick questions; I know detox is different for everyone but what were your expierences with it? I feel like the more greens and celery and cumcumbers I eat the better I feel. Also what about drinking water? And during detox do you think one should let the body heal by resting or is exercise and weight training good to speed up detoxification? Thank you very much for you videos and your time. Good day to you.

  • After a full year on 801010 I feel that I should focus more on veggies and not so so much fruit. But that's coming from a guy that eats insane amounts of fruit. I DO feel better the more veggies I eat, and yes I exercise a lot, and the more I do the better I feel, so by all means I think working out is always good - always. We as humans thrive on being active and eating 801010 makes is all the better!

  • YES DRINK WATER, distilled is best. I do drink water, a lot too.

  • subscribed. great video! you mention that you drink a lot of water, preferably distilled. I've heard that it's important to somehow mineralize distilled water. Do you agree? If so, how do you mineralize it? Thanks in advance.

  • Thank you for your enjoyable videos...just wondering if you could give me an example of excactly what you eat and at what times you eat on a given day? Thanks again.

  • I eat fruit in the morning, oranges, bananas or whatever is in season and ripe. I work out then, for lunch eat more fruit, whatever is in season and ripe. I try more and more to mono eat, physically that always makes me feel the best, but hard to do in reality as we are so used to complex eating. Dinner I try to eat mostly veggies, that is the goal. I try to eat more and more mono meals and more veggies - the more veggies the better I feel, I think you can eat too much fruit, I see that now.

  • right on!

  • All what you said is 100% true, I experienced all that.
