Since when have churches been forced to marry anyone? My former churches (and I'm sure many others) refused to marry people all the time. Either they wouldn't commit to the pastoral counseling required or they weren't members. The church voted off a lady as a member because she was living with a man.
Government shouldn't affect the church just as the church shouldn't affect the government.
