  • nice video!

  • LOVE the over the shoulder view great vids

  • what a nice rig

  • Smart Captain, diesel comment. smart.

  • I must say, I do like the looks of your dark green trucks...

  • nice video

  • where in md is this?

  • This is in western MD In the lower corner of Garrett County, where it meets Allegany County MD and Mineral County WV. Bloomington MD

  • I was wondering if you guys have seats with seat belts in your Squad. Seems like a pretty dangerous response while standing up, especially with the road conditions the way they were.

  • No this is an older squad. There are no seatbelts in the walk in box. The older design of the box, will not allow us to put seatbelts in this unit. Have you ever watched any of videos from FDNY and their Rescue Units?

  • Never watched any FDNY Rescue Unit videos. Why?

  • If you get a chance watch on and let me know what you think about that.

  • irons... I just watched several and other than seeing them drive off "Code", I didn't see anything in particular. Is there something you wanted me to see?

  • @station079

Yeah. Its usually against fire department SOP's to not wear your seatbelt while responding. Theres been alot of firefighters injured, and a couple (that I know of) killed in MVI's cause they weren't wearing there seatbelts. But like irons22 said, im sure they tried to install seatbelts, but were unable to, so theres not much they can do about it. Thought they should of been sitting down in there seats.

  • u guys should look into the core technology. Its a lot nicer than double hose crap.

  • Actually we are going to get some conversion kits for this system. But we are also looking at a new Squad all together.

  • was the car even cribbed be for that fire fighter got in the car

  • That was a firefighter from the 1st due engine company. Prior to the squad arriving on the scene, a tow truck had a cable hooked to a large tree and a change of direction back to the vehicle to secure the vehicle from moving. It was also cribbed after we arrived on the squad.

  • This was a drill right? It was not a real incident, was it?

  • No. This was a real accident.

  • In the beginning I thought it was real, but then I started wondering why is the entraped person wearing a uniform?

How much time did the incident last?

I mean the extrication, after arriving there?

  • This was a real incident. The person inside the vehicle was an EMT/Firefighter doing patient care. He was able to get into the vehicle through a back window. The patient was also under the blanket. The time was 17 minutes from start to finish on the extrication. That was on scene until the patient was removed from the vehicle.

  • Its real. Why would go code if its a drill?

  • Great video as usual. Keep up the good work and keep them coming.
