Польша извлекла прямую выгоду из мюнхенской сделки западных держав с Гитлером 1938 года - отхватила северную часть Чехословакии, а сейчас смеет показывать пальцем на Россию за Пакт Риббентропа - Молотова. @lerosee You don't know history. Most of Russian POW were murdered by polish in result of military war in 1920 and we are talking of few hundred thousands. Poland and Germany ripped Czech apart in 1939. Please, don't try to show that Polish such a peaceful nation, read about Munich pact first.

When if Russia lost war, no Poland never was in this world. Stalin was not the ally of Hitler - vice versa by his most wicked enemy. When if USSR did not occupy east lands of Poland (actually, lands of Russia, which Poland illegally occupied in 1918-21), Germans would take Moscow as early as October, 1941. The USA would not begin to be at war with Hitler. And England would perish.

There was not 20 million soviet soldiers. Actually, 8-9 million militaries losses (from them, at least, three millions were killed and tortured Germans in a captivity). 18 millions were civilians. In common, losses of USSR are 27 millions.

Because it not there were Polish ethnic lands, but lands of Eastern Slavs - blood brothers of the Russian people. Ukrainians and Byelorussians hate Poles which oppressed during centuries and examined their as a lower race. So the USSR rescued Poland from the fate of former Yugoslavia. Instead of poor Ukrainian and Byelorussian territories on the East, Poland got in a gift from Stalin the industrial territories in the West and vast Baltic coast on the North. An exchange was more than equivalent.
