i'll always have mixed feelings toward sundin. great player, but he should have waived his no trade clause. he owed that much to the fans who stood behind him for over a decade. what made it even worse is that his excuse was, and i'm paraphrasing, "i want to play an entire season with one team". respectable. but he joins the canucks in december and doesn't play his first game until january. come on.

That is one of the sore points as to why the Leafs treated him like sh1t, because he wouldn't let them trade him away. He wanted to stay. Which would have been the best thing all around as he could have passed on his experience to the young guns coming up and he could finish his career as a Maple Leaf, but they decided to treat him like something they scraped off their shoes.
