First of all, car sales people are standing in front of the door blocking your walkway. They are aged between 21- 27. The 35 yr old is the supervisor. The Boss is sitting in his office giving out bogus deals. He is profiting either way. He does not care about the bank as long as the Bank finances you he makes the down payment profit. They are training the salesperson like it is telemarketing, using tricks and schemes. They want to sit you down and catch you slipping. People are Scared!!!
ralph williams was a pudgy, gruff old fart that you could totally beieve would do all the things this guy says. that's what makes it so funny. i spent many a stoned night in the 80s watching ralph williams' commercials late at night. he was a loveable loser who ended up in jail for swindling people, i think. i know he had some trouble with the law that ran him out of the business. good ol' cal wothington is still around, but sometimes has other announcers doing his commercials.
@mrspivvy Yep..throttle stuck-brake failing-chassis rusting Toyotas.....sold to you with integrity by the only country in the world to pull a sneak attack on us while negotiating a peace accord
@ted850760 Yeah, buy a dodge and get free coffee! You'll be at the dealer so many times ,you'll never have to pay for java again. Pearl harbour was a long time ago, not forgotten ever, but a long time ago. And didn't ford (usa company ) set the record for recalls back in the early nineties?
@ted850760 I guess...but at least Toyota is owning up to it. I must admit, it goes against the grain for Toyota to be caught out this way. whatever else they may be, their cars were always reliable and well engineered. It's apparently a result of their decision to be number 1 in the world. they increased production dramatically without being able to susutain quality
Chick Lambert and his dog Storm having some fun, and no, this commercial would never had been broadcast! He was one of a few great used-car pitchmen from late-night TV car commercials of the 1960's and 70's in California. They're all gone now except for Cal Worthington who's still pitching cars in his 90's, probably won't be around much longer.
"Ralph Williams Bay Shore Chrysler-Plymouth (1970 outtake)
To celebrate RetroTube's return after a nine-month hiatus, here's the classic outtake from pitchman Chick Lambert...now back on YouTube! NOT SAFE FOR WORK!"
I wonder what the real story behind this. Was this a put on for the crew and everybody involved? Or was it for real....live, not aware that it was being broadcast. I think the former.
Excellent
