RON PAUL IS GOING TO BE PROSECUTED BY UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! ITS UNCONSTITUTIONAL TO CALL AMERICAN PEOPLE INVADERS AND INITIATERS OF WARS.
RON PAUL SAID THE USA INVADES COUNTRIES AND STARTS WARS, WHICH GIVES USA A BAD REPUTATION AROUND THE WORLD , THEREFORE IT IS CONSIDERED A CRIME . A US CITIZEN WHO
WAS BORN IN USA CANT GO AGAINST GOVERNMENT POLICIES WHICH MIGHT TREATEN THE FUTURE
Cap and trade has a huge carbon footprint because goods will need to be shipped from the countries that will produce the products we use more cheaply than those produced here. Higher cost= more companies going offshore= Increased shipping= bigger carbon footprint.
Cap and Trade in the Senate now the American Power Act would increase taxes on the average household up to $3200 according to the RNC gas prices increase by $2.58 a gallon according to George C. Marshall Institute. With Obama demanding the cessation of offshore drilling gas prices are expected to increase yet another $5 a gallon, because we would grow dependent upon foreign nations we are not allies with in order to provide our oil. They would price gouge w/ gas prices increasing to $10/gal!
The first question to ask anyone in this debate is "how old is the Earth". If they say "God created the Earth 6000 years ago" you know that you are dealing with a religious extremist who has no understanding of science, so there is no point in wasting time in a debate. I don't know if Paul actually believes this mythology, but he has stated that he does not believe in evolution by natural selection, which is proof positive of his scientific ignorance.
@calamagrostis88 I wouldn't say that not believing in evolution makes you scientifically ignorant per say. There are plenty of credible scientists who don't believe that evolution can provide a full explanation of how we came to be. The fact that people who even question evolution are branded as ignorant or stupid is a sad testimony to the lack of scientific debate over certain subjects. Remember, even creationism was the accepted theory at one point.
@schoedan First of all the evolution of life is a fact, the only question is how does it evolve, and natural selection is the only widely accepted answer. There is no problem if people want to propose other scientific theories about how evolution occurs, the problem is when people want to invoke supernatural powers to explain it.
Watch the bills going through congress. Every day hundreds of incomprehensible bills are passed with yays from almost everybody with the exception of Ron Paul who votes no on everything. weird
"Exxonmobil corp., the world's largest crude oil refiner, supports taxing carbon dioxide as the most efficient way of curbing greenhouse gas emissions, its chief executive said.
"As a businessman, it's hard to speak favourably about any new tax, but a carbon tax strikes me as a more direct, more transparent and more effective approach," Rex Tillerson, CEO of the Irving, Texas based company, said Thursday at the Woodrow Wilson international center for scholars in Washington."
Hate the wealthy? Give to the less fortunate? "Even the playing field" ?
Here are average yearly incomes of several countries:
Brazil $8,135
Venezuela $11,444
India $1,054
China $3,212
USA $45,835
To even the playing field, we must "de-develop the USA" , redistribute the wealth globally (take your income) vis cap and trade and other measures. How does socialism look to you now? It's not taking money from the wealthy -- it's taking your money!
@vechorik this is hilarious. Talking about average income doesn't mean squat if one third of the nation's wealth belongs to 1% of the population, like in the US.
It gets better, the 2nd third of the wealth belongs to another 9% of the population, and here it comes, 90% of the nation owns the last third.
So within this 90%, the average person only has a yearly income of 15,278 $
I'm sure the wealthiest Americans, the 11% are very happy with you being their proganda caddy.
@vechorik : Well there is an index called the GINI index and measures income disparities. The median Canadian or median German is much better off than the median American. Well having visited a lot of social democracies, it does not look bad to me!!!
what the fuck ron? oh yeah this is just how the voting goes its unfortunate but oh well... what the fuck! where is YOUR outrage this is not a democracy the senate is outright showing you this. and unfortunately we will all pay for their ignorance and cowardice what a disgrace, all of you, to allow this farce of a government to continue you should all be ashamed!
@TMaw345 nope sorry u are being deceived by the masters, hes a mason and he could care less about the country do ur research. very few reliable sources out there, that are still alive that is, and the ones claiming to be truth tellers like jordan maxwell and david icke are the biggest scumbags because they are outright manipulating the truth with downright satanic lies
I really like Ron Paul's style- he looks like a hip George Bush in some back office fighting for the little guy. He would have my vote if he had a better understanding of why a voter would not be outraged by a new approach to cleaning up this war. Yes, we all have to deal with compromises - the majority of the American people still want a universal health care system. The response of republicans, including Ron Paul - to block progress on needed health care reform is what outrages me.
The question is why did he vote against it? What was in the bill that he didn't like? I have a feeling a majority of Americans want Universal health care because the current system is so bad. However, just because Paul voted against H.R. 3962 does not mean he supports the status quo. For whatever reason he thought it was a bad bill, and he's a fairly reasonable person. Maye you should look into why he voted against it.
They wanted a private option. If you think gov't does so well running things, take a look at the education system.. they shouldn't have control over this. They aren't required to. It is not a right to have healthcare, sorry. You must be one of those welfare people.
@TMaw345 The majority did vote for health care reform, this is a very popular issue. This is one of the key differences that put Obama over McCain in the pools by many votes. I do not think you can truly say that I am making that up. What are we compromising? I think you need to focus on the subject more and less on making personal / emotionally charged assaults on others.
@jermil956 The majority did not vote for the personal mandate. Which is unconstitutional unamerican and pro slavery. Forcing Americans to buy something against their is about as unconstitutional as you can get. Anybody who vote for Obamacare which has the personal mandate hate freedom and the Constitution that was written to protect it. Also when running Shiliary, Obama was against it Shiliary was for it. He got applause for being against it. Obama is a liar.
@jackiemickie Are you willingly trying to stretch this from the 2008 election to personal mandate then to pro slavery? Who is Shillary? I have to say, calling people names, twisting facts and regurgitating political adds without support is not a legitimate conversation. Do not try to tell what I am talking about, tell me that if I think a certain way or voice my opinion it means I hate freedom and I am not an American. Let me point out that you defeat your own argument.
One thing I heard and I hope everybody out there heard was how some Republicans voted for this bill so certain Democrats did not have to and that way they wouldn't be in trouble with their constituents. THAT TICKS ME OFF AND THEY SHOULD ALL BE RUN OUT OF OFFICE!!!
@BBCater unfortunately the military and the police are there to protect them (the government) first before the people therefore they have all the muscle so we all lose. we saw this in toronto not too long ago
AL GORE is a RAPIST-he raped a massage therapist in NY; AL GORE views himself as ROMAN Cesar Tiberius-whom decried in 14 BC"The whole world shall pay ME taxes or be killed!" AL GORE-wants to carbon CAP & TAX the whole world so he can steal $Billions. AL GORE has three $8 Million house like King Tiberius whom had a palace in ROME,palace in Constantinople,& palace in Antioch. ALL HAIL EMPEROR AL GORE-KING of RAPE! WHY did Tipper Leave you? Tell you Reps your AGAINST paying $Billions to RAPIST!
@jmkpns Yeah because no "republican" ever screwed anything up, COUGH BUSH COUGH. Democrat/Republican it's all the same BS these days. Failed system all around in my opinion.
@CFrostyTheSnowman Republicans have skrewed up, but we have a better chance of taking back the Republican Party than the Democrat Party. Example is most Republicans support the Second Amendment as most Democrats do not. We can have a Republican Party without Bush, Cheney, and the Iraq War, but it won't happen running away to a third party. You don't see the left voting for Nader, no they took over and made the Democrat Party what it is today.
@jmkpns I see what you're saying, I just disagree. I respect your opinion but mine is, screw republicans, screw democrats, and even screw libertarians. Screw anyone who claims to follow the constitution because we can't go back in time it's gone as far as it is going to.
I like Ron Paul a lot I think hes smart but theres no going back anymore.
Our gov't does more harm than good. When it gets to the point where many people are homeless, jobless and rioting is happening across the country, just remember what Anita Dunn said, that she admires Mao. Mao let 70,000 of his country men starve. Are we more humane than that? We cause the catastrophe which is our gov't's terrorism against its own people and call it "MAN MADE DISASTER". The gov't sometimes does tell the truth. Perhaps those FEMA coffins will come in handy after all.
We could use your help stopping the Cap & Trade legislation & the Global Warming charade.
Gore was chief cheerleader for the NAFTA & WTO creation which destroyed multiple tens of millions of good paying jobs & now is pushing the GW charade & Cap & Trade so he can cash in with his Goldman Sachs business shyster pals.
Please take a look at this important issue. They have faked data & spent many millions to promote this crisis creation
Understand the TERM please:Left-Wing and Right-Wing are from the National Assembly of France. The "Kings" sat on the right-wing of the assembly and the "commoners" sat at the Left-wing.
The commoners wanted a voice in politics even thought they had no money. The reason the term is so widely used in the US, is because it is EXACTLY why WE had a revolution against Great Britain.
Yes THEY do, RON Paul ESPECIALLY! He is not on the left.

Let me show you how you sound. Ron Paul "stands for" "less taxes" "fiscal responsibility" and "smaller government". These "principals" will "stick it" to the "fed" and "wall street" and "turn things around" finally. "Government never gets anything right"(Politician double talk). We will have a "voice in government again".
SAME GOP SALES PITCH TRIPE. Ron Paul and republicans campaigning fluff.
The numbers show WAGE disparity is the #1 problem in our economy now, and not ONE word about it.
Then the GOP tells the pathetically gullible(you). "We don't think Hand-outs are good for anyone". LOL. LOOK at WORKING WAGES! If wages for work are "HAND-OUTS" then why are THEIR wages so astronomical. What ever happened to COMMON sense?
If any one votes for Amnisty or Cap and Trade we must throw them out of office please spread the word we must stop Washington before it is to late and most of the people in office need to be removed with honest patriots. We will all be under the fist of gov and we will all suffer if we can not fix the evil that Washington has become
We could use your help stopping the Cap & Trade legislation & the Global Warming charade.

I don't agree with his view on Afghanistan & the military tribunals, but he's absolutely right on about Obama's disastrous spending and taxing. I'm not sure that Ron Paul would make a great president, but I'd put him in charge of the Treasury Dept. in a New York minute.
I think that the biggest source of air pollution is WAR. Every time a granade explodes it emits 20 tons of co2 (university-proven-fact), therefore every granade needs to be equiped with a filter so that it can kill people in an environmentally friendly way.
global warming has been debunked---it is not caused by us----fact----cap and trade is nothing more than a way to globally tax the world and stimulate the creation of a one world goverment
Global warming has been happening since the last Ice age. CO2 production has increased the quantity in the atmosphere and there is a definite correlation between CO2 and global warming. A Tax on Oil and Coal consumption roughly equal to the cost of military operations and externalities (additional smog related deaths, global warming, etc....) would harness the power of the market to innovate new sources of power. We are running out anyway. Lets be prepared.
@JPdaCarver there is a definite correlation with weather manipulation and control by HAARP and so called "global warming". we need to look for ways to start applying greener energy (which there is plenty of known sources already) to existing infrastrucure and just do it for our own health and that of the planet. also as a country we need to stop eating so much beef all these cattle ranches and slaughter houses are emitting 1/3 of the earths greenhouse gases in methane each year.
@JPdaCarver global changes have been occuring for MILLIONS OF YEARS.....don't worry, scientists work for peopl like you, and you should keep watching the main stream media for your info....lololololol.....if you havent figured out the truth yet, don't worry, you can always say "he's a racist!"....lololololol......i'm tired of trying to convince sheep.....keep trying to complete a cooperate AGENDA
@WONDOCTORJ How has global warming been debunked? Just writing fact after something without citing anyone credible or not doesn't actually make it true. You aren't even a real doctor are you?!
@Telavoie any moron can do minimal research on the internet and find out the facts for themselvs......or you can keep watching mainstream media for all of your info lol
@WONDOCTORJ Again you neglect to produce any credible source. Wonder why that is. You're correct any moron can search the internet and find all kinds of information. It's the validity of the information that makes the difference. Any moron can assume superiority because they've come to the elementary conclusion that the mainstream media isn't reliable. Congratulations.
@WONDOCTORJ It hasn't been debunked. The debate is still ongoing whether we are the underlying cause or not. Either way, we surely can't be helping ourselves by emitting TRILLIONS of tons GHG for 60 years+ worldwide, which HAVE been proven to heat up the planet. Even if we aren't the underlying cause (even though water levels have increased astronomically in some places in the world recently) we're definitely speeding up the process which wouldnt bode well for us.
@WONDOCTORJ I don't live by a beach ^^ All I'm saying is that humans need to switch to green renewable energy regardless whether global warming is a complete myth or not.
@2itch we can't switch to renewable energy, because the big companies and goverments wont profit from it......DUH........we already have renewable clean energy
Do you think you're going to have an "equal world" with the cap and trade and carbon taxes like Australia? Check out this video on YouTube about immigration and the world poor: "Immigration by the Numbers -- Off the Charts" Watch it and let me know what you think.
Generation Investment Management's founding partners are studded with officials from Goldman Sachs. They include David Blood, former CEO of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM); Mark Ferguson, former co-head of GSAM pan-European research; and Peter Harris, who headed GSAM international operations
(Plus former Secretary of the Treasury (under George W Bush) & a former CEO of Goldman Sachs Hank Paulson has ties also to Gore & GIM
Hey since the politicians are destroying the economic climate, can we have cap and trade system on their spending. Their paychecks can be credits. A limit is set on their spending and if they want to spend more they can take it out of their credit and they could trade back and forth between themselves.
We need real change, we need to start running ourselves as Republicans & Democrats & challenge the party flunkies in the primaries & retake the parties form the corporate & special interest groups who control many gov't rep's like robotoids
As far as Tea parties, they need to chuck all the phonies from the stage & people like you or me or our neighbors get up on the stage & tell the truth about what is happening to America
Al Gore & Corporate friends set to make billions off of the Global Warming Scam
Al Gore is chairman and founder of a private equity firm called Generation Investment Management (GIM). According to Gore, the London-based firm invests money from institutions and wealthy investors in companies that are going green. Generation Investment Management, purchases -- but isnt a provider of -- carbon dioxide offsets
what can we do to prevent this from passing the senate??? without the us economy there is really no hope for developing country's as they will have no model of success to mimic.
I love how people criticize Ron Paul about dumb crap when all the politicians they vote for after the election are ghosts that come back to haunt you. And Ron Paul actually communicates with his constituents on a weekly basis AT LEAST.
"Dumb Crap"? Ron Paul is a charlatan. He pretends to be some sort of "alternative" to the current 2 party system. That is a joke. Every issue he addresses on here, he takes the EXACT same position as the GOP. How is that an alternative?
@g4macdad Look at Ron Paul's voting record. He votes against the GOP more than any other republican. He stands up for what the Republican party used to stand for. Now they have all sold out and become Neo-Cons. He advocates indivdualism and civil liberty. What's wrong with that? Don't be part of the herd, just listen to what he says and look at what he does. We need more people like him fighting for our rights.
I am CALLING you on your bluff RIGHT now. Name ONE policy of Ron Paul's that has improved our economy? I am not talking about for the wealthy. I am talking about the WORKING class. Why "help" one class, and NOT another??
@g4macdad His ideas are ignored and never implimented, so how can they work if we won't use them? He wants our military completely removed from the rest of the world. He wants the federal government drastically reduced in size and the income tax abolished. He's never voted for a budget that not balanced. Who knows exactly how much things could help the people but I fail to see how his ideas of small government and liberty would be bad for anyone.
@BudWithBeats76 Because his "ideas" are bogus. He "opposes" things he KNOWS will never change, and endorses ALL of the same voodoo principals of GW Bush that has brought us to where we are. "Small" government is helpful to the wealthy, but if you actually look up wage disparity, you will see that THEY don't even need "help".
It is called VOODOO for a reason. The concept is 100% illogical. "help" to one class "really" "helps" the other class. The numbers PROVE it is BOGUS!
@g4macdad Ron Paul hated the policies of Bush and spoke out against them all the time. This wage war is just a tool to keep people voting left. Personally I think both parties are corrupt and so does Dr. Paul. Our governemnt has been expanding for a long time and things have only gotten worse. I have no doubt wall-street is full of greedy thieves but the Fed helps them in their treason. Check out HR 4248 and HR 1207 submitted by Ron Paul.
Wage war is to keep people voting left? What about the numbers? Care to explain what is going to FINALLY convince the wealthy to share? All you use are "catch" phrases. Show us statistics or logic. The typical phrases you are using are BOGUS and are ONLY used to gain MORE for the wealthy. NO catchy phrases, the NUMBERS PROVE it.
@g4macdad I'm completely against the fed helping out big corporations. Big government always helps big money. Half of Obama's cabinet once worked for Goldman Sachs! They gave him money and now they support his reform bill. They know it will give them unlimited bailouts and take away all risk of failure. Thats supposed to help the people? If the people don't like what wall-street is doing maybe they should stop being pawns and take their money and retirement funds out.
@BudWithBeats76 They can take away ALL risks of failure night and day. Then we just FORCE them to share. It is NOT hand-outs. It is LIVING WAGES for WORK.
If the GOVERNMENT does not ensure this, NOBODY WILL genius. This is not my opinion. THE NUMBERS PROVE IT.
@g4macdad We can if pull our head out of sand and take responsibility for ourselves and what we allow to happen to us. Government works for them, not us, have for a long time. wake up.
@g4macdad and Bush, just like Obama, campaigned on things he never into to follow through with. Republicans talk like they agree with sound financial policy and sound money but they never act on those ideas. Its not about left or right, its about up and down. The big government supports the corporations on top and keeps the people down. Bush supported this system and so does Obama.
Most of the time your repersentives don't even read your letters or listen to your calls.
The only only way they hear you is if you speak to them directly.
They have a secetary that replies a pre-fabericated response informing you that he is taking the issue that you wrote about very seriously. - Don't believe me? Have 3 or 4 friend send in a letter expressing their concern on the same issue and I bet one or more will get the same response
Whenever I see a crowd THIS into a POLITICIAN I get a bad feeling.
A politician who hates the government doesn't ass up in my book. Maybe I'm missing something?
Is it pooooooooosible he tells you what you want to hear to gain political power, and then not deliver....you know...the thing politicians do for a living?
I would have to agree with you except Ron Paul votes the way he belives. I challenge you to find out what he says and see the way his votes go in washington. Dont listen just to what people say... findout for yourself.
I agree that some politicians are better than others.
However the problem in the US as I see it is the political system.
I think the political system works much better in EU. One can argue about policy, EU being more socialistic ect, but I dont think you can argue that democracy works better over there.
The main source for that as I see it is campaign donations. They have laws to stop money flowing into politics.
RP would either get corrupted by money or stopped by the other corrupts.
i dont remember mentioning the EU at all. My only point was that you should check RP's voting record and what he has said and then compare it to other politicians. I dont like the EU because of how members have to cede thier sovereignty for very few benefits just like i dont like how the states are being forced to cede thier rights to our federal government. its wrong. and its NOT what the constitution says is right either. Sovereignty of the states is a truth this generation is 4getting about
i appreciate the civil reply but i only had one point in my original comment. and that was dont comment about it... find out for yourself instead of listening to others words :)
Yeah thats the only way to get some truth, agree 100%.
About the EU thing. I totally used it the wrong way. I meant it as the local European countries way of doing stuff. Not the union itself:P That has some issues like you mentioned.
TheSaltyAdmiral, you can't simply say that hating the government is bad, it's for what reason that makes the difference.
You may hate the government for certain reasons, but what is the best way to change the government for the better? Become a politician and do it yourself.
I personally liked this part: (6) it is possible and desirable to cap greenhouse gas emissions, from sources that together account for the majority of those emissions in the United States, at the current level in 2012, and to lower the cap each year between 2012 and 2050, on the condition that the system includes--
(a) cost containment measures;
(b) periodic review of requirements;
(c) an aggressive program for deploying advanced energy technology;
hmmm, It seems to me he is trying to scare people. All he does is complain, WHY doesn't he offer any alternative answers to the areas he is so worried about? The title of this post is Ron Paul on Cap and Trade but he doesn't say oh I don't like this part of the bill but I like this part. He just makes it seem as people voted for something they didn't want to. They are all big girls and big boys and are supposed to vote for the people.
im not sure how to feel today, i dont belive in co2 related climate change, i was calling my senators last friday telling them how much i hate cap and trade. but today i read the EPA is threatening to regulate co2 emissions themselves if cap and trade doesnt pass. seems like people are determined to stamp out this life giving gas
Maybe this ought to be a permanent situation: Democrats in power, Republicans opposing. History shows Republicans can't do jack when in power, but in the 90s and now, they might be able to limit some Democratic excesses.
We've got direct speaking, truthful, for the people real human being -statesmen- like Ron Paul running for president but the dumbed-down TV addled American MORONS want a slick talking 2-faced corporatist asshole minced words cult of personality war monger crime syndicate FRAUD 0bama puppet actor instead.
What the FUCK is wrong with this 'voter majority' anyway?
How can they call themselves "intelligent" & "educated" when they are so easily fooled, manipulated & deceived by political creatures
so small businesses like restaurants could cut back on emissions and sell their emissions credits to big companies. so the big companies get flexibility without hurting the environment overall and it puts some cash in the pockets of small business owners. i knew the small business owners were corrupt. yet beneficial to themselves, their communities, and the big businesses. plus i dont trust ron paul, he had gay sex with sasha baron cohen.
Every major scientific organization endorses the theory of global warming? I dont know if you have heard of an org. called NASA but they do not endorse global warming.
You're knowledge level of global warming science is on a par with other people posting here. NASA's climate unit has been one of the main organizations warning of the dangers of climate change. Just go to their website you dimwit.
perhaps you aren't seeing the memo's that are coming to light now about this being a huge scam. Scientists are corrupt like anybody else. Whoever gives them the funds gets their message relayed. It's BS. The entire world runs on money. That's what drives "the truth." I'm sick of getting taxed to death by dumbocrats who spend all day thinking up new ways to tax us. Some A-hole is even trying to charge people by the mile for driving instead of just a gas tax.
Why do you lie? Both NASA, NOAA, IPCC ect ect endore it. Infact, it was NASA that disproved some of the most popular counter arguments to GW. One of them being solar activity.
They said that solar activity has nothing to do with this because we would seen the rise in temperature in the troposphere. Which we do not.
I have one question for you, are you bought, or just stupid?
It will be about the carbon credit exchange: competition and trade of credits, soon to be fraud and crony kickbacksconsolidation under the politicos for insiders. Elite to travel and live like kings: but er, all for ECOLOGY.
Human impact on the environment is minimal at most so crap and trade isnt the answer to save the world! lol gimme a break
Glaciers are melting at an increasing rate worldwide threatening the water supply of a billion people. California is already facing water shortages as a result of a reduced snowpack. The arctic should be continuing in a cooling cycle as it is getting slightly less sunlight each year, the only explanation for the recent dramatic warming is the increase in CO2. Every major scientific organization in the world has endorsed the theory of GW. It would be completely nuts to do nothing about it.
Hey Johnny that's BS. Glaciers have been increasing and global temperature averages have been decreasing in the past several years. I use to be for strong measures to cut down on Co2 until I saw real facts (not the Al Gore fake ones). That's why so many eco-alarmists have changed their words from "global warming" to "climate change'.
I'm still very much for protecting our beautiful planet and cleaning it up, but much of what they are selling you now is propaganda. It's all about the money.
(continued from above) Their information is very similar to what you will see on NASA's website in case you don't believe NASA. The IPCC put out a report on glaciers worldwide not long ago, they said that glaciel melt rates are increasing almost everywhere. Every other independent study on glaciers I have seen have agreed with this assessment. An article in the paper a couple days ago said Mt. Kilimanjaro has lost 25% of it's glacial mass since just the year 2000.
You are falling prey to some kind of BS propaganda. If you look at NASA's wesbite many of the warmest years on record have been in the last ten years. The only reason people are incorrectly saying it's cooling is because 1998 was such a warm year due to El Nino. It is very poor analysis to use that one year as a way to say its cooling. In the UK the Met Office (look up their website) also tracks worlwide temperatures. (continued below)
So who gives a shit? Millions of years ago, we had frozen land masses that thawed out & (guess what) became inhabitable for humans. Are you trying to get back to the Ice Age? Temps flucuate. It's natural, & if it ends up being catastrophic to us, be assured it wasn't due to my car or my dog. This is a bunch of crap thought up by some liberal democrat as a way to get more money. It's what they do. It's why they are in politics. Why else would someone spend millions to take a job that pays 100k?
You don't have a clue what you're talking about. You have no idea how sophisticated the scientific community is. If you think they don't know what they're doing you are only demonstrating the considerable depth of your ignorance. I would think you would have to be insane or mentally challenged to believe it is a conspiracy. Every developed country in the world is concerned with climate change. You think there's a worldwide conspiracy? If you do you are suffering from paranoid delusions.
Suuuuuure.....just like they came out and called it "global warming...." They were so sure then, right? Now that it's been PROVEN that they are full of crap, they call it "climate change" so it covers temp change both ways. It's a bunch of hocus pocus. And don't think that scientists aren't paid off with taxpayer money to say whatever the admin in charge wants. Get a clue and stop drinking the Kool Aid. Also, there are other smart people in this world. Stop being so arrogant.
ABSOLUTELY!!!! Couldn't have said it better myself. The libs just keep drinking all the Kool Aid so they won't have to admit they've been duped by their heroes.
BS. It's a HUGE money grab by democrats. Any idea how much Al Gore stands to make from the company he's invested in? You libs need to get your heads out of your arses. Stop hugging trees long enough to realize that just because it sounds great doesn't mean it is.
Furthermore, how do melting ice caps cause water shortages? I was always told that melting ice CREATES water. LOL
Melting glaciers release water until the glaciers shrink to the point that they no longer hold much water. In Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia they are already facing water shortages due to retreating glaciers. Why don't you google shrinking andes glaciers and learn something, rather than expressing opinions about things you know absolutely nothing about.
They "shrink" due to evaporation, which gets released into the atmosphere. Which then comes back to earth in the form of rain. Knock off your bullshit. For all we know, you are some govt lacky on here to sell your snake oil for Obama. Beat it.
Because it is the private market that has the record of "buying" time to make more money. Even when it is wrong.
The tobacco industry did it, when scientist sounded the alarm on health issues. The car industry did it when the cars back then were exposed as the death traps they were. The Oil / energy industry did/does it when GW became obvious. And most recently, the health care industry in the US started doing it.
Private market as in Al Gore investing in Green companies who stand to benefit from going green? Global Warming from CO2 is bullshit junk science. Get a clue.
Its funny how GW can't be real because someone is smart enough to make money on it. However, you don't seem to notice how insane amounts of money people make as we speak by delaying change.
So, since people make billions claming its fake, does that make them liars? According to your logic it does.
And btw, you got balls telling me to get a clue when you think every major scientific and governmental institution on the planet is involved in a conspiracy to get your money...
No, what's really funny is how these hacks get caught tossing contrary data and such, and saying that something in an email was an "oversight" and you tree huggers STILL buy into their BS because it makes you feel better. When are you libs ever going to wake up and recognize some things as the frauds that they are.
BTW, your last sentence about the govt conspiring to get my money is hilarious. Isn't that really was govt is by definition? Idiot.
Yes I admit, I buy into scientists that have proven their credibility like those I mentioned.
You believe in the bible, and the imaginary dude above.
No, governments are not for conspiring to get your money. The reason you believe that is because you're an American and the name of your teacher is Glenn Beck.
The US governments are indeed bad ones most of the time, I give you that. But in Europe they are mostly in touch with reality.
LOL. You are a funny one. Is that the same credibility that is now getting shot to hell because it's being shown they LIED to push their own agenda? Yea, your science is SO pure and perfect. Not one scientist is open to corruption like in any other profession, right? Libs like you are the easiest ones duped. And yes, I believe in God. You don't because you can't see Him. I can't see you, either, but I know you exist. And the govt is trying to get our $. Wake up fool. But the US govt is the best.
So how are govt's in Europe in touch with reality? The truth is you and every other country in Europe hates America because we've had to save each and every one of you at some time in your history. It breeds contempt, I understand. We'll see who calls who the next time someone invades Europe. It's always like whiney kids running to mom. LMAO
bullshit. 75% of the world is covered in water. We could never drink all that water. Maybe science should concentrate their efforts on making it fresh water.
They do, don't know if you've heard of Bellona? They are planning massive saltwater to freshwater installations in Africa.
The problem is the poor people that rely on water from nature, how on earth are we gonna produce on a scale that big, around the world, and on top of that give it away for free?
To stop the glaciers from melting away is a far better solution than coping with the consequences afterwards.
But we should of course do both. I think our main focus should be to reforest Sahara.
That would indeed be expensive, and yes it is the biggest one.
But it is not as expensive as one would think. Because you would only reforest strategic points throughout the desert, and the forest itself will fill in the gaps over time. Basically all we need to do is bring water, nature does the rest.
And the benefits of turning the Sahara desert into the Sahara forest is almost immeasurable.
I'm not just talking about GW, we will benefit from it in a much broader perspective.
Yeah, that is the thing, if it must be kept alive by us, its kind of counter productive. I guess no one knows for sure, but at least on small scale experiments it looked promising.
I will try to find the article again, and give you a link.
Unfortunately a lot of the stuff I read is in Norwegian, becase I'm from Norway. But just google "sahara forest project" and you will find a lot of info and images of it. Also a lot of stuff about it on youtube.

The banks who broker the buying and selling of carbon credits are the ones who stand to gain. Al Gore and his partner David Blood (former chairman of Goldman Sachs asset management fund) established Generation Investment Management--GIM owns 13 million shares of Camco International Limited, which has one of the world's largest carbon credit portfolios. Al Gore could be the world's first "global warming billionaire". Is it staring to make sense now?
Tom Golembeski a spokesman for Sunoco said the costs to operate under this program will increase the cost to refine oil domestically so high, that it will be cheaper to just import our fuel. Lion Oil of AK will have to pay 180 million a year in carbon credits when they only make 13 millio

Cap and trade has a huge carbon footprint because goods will need to be shipped from the countries that will produce the products we use more cheaply than those produced here. Higher cost= more companies going offshore= Increased shipping= bigger carbon footprint.

The solution would be for us to embrace a technology the U.S. created over 50 years ago; Molten Salt Reactors powered by the element, Thorium.
look up energy from thorium dot com
zero chance of a meltdown.
.01% of the waste from the Uranium Fuel Cycle.
Ability to burn existing nuclear waste & dismantled bombs.
inability to use reactor to breed weapons grade material.
small, modular, mass-produced reactors drop the cost thru the floor.

I don't know if Paul actually believes this mythology, but he has stated that he does not believe in evolution by natural selection, which is proof positive of his scientific ignorance.
calamagrostis88 1 year ago
@calamagrostis88 I wouldn't say that not believing in evolution makes you scientifically ignorant per say. There are plenty of credible scientists who don't believe that evolution can provide a full explanation of how we came to be. The fact that people who even question evolution are branded as ignorant or stupid is a sad testimony to the lack of scientific debate over certain subjects. Remember, even creationism was the accepted theory at one point.
schoedan 1 year ago
@schoedan First of all the evolution of life is a fact, the only question is how does it evolve, and natural selection is the only widely accepted answer. There is no problem if people want to propose other scientific theories about how evolution occurs, the problem is when people want to invoke supernatural powers to explain it.

It's not taking money from the wealthy -- it's taking your money!
vechorik 1 year ago
@vechorik this is hilarious. Talking about average income doesn't mean squat if one third of the nation's wealth belongs to 1% of the population, like in the US.
It gets better, the 2nd third of the wealth belongs to another 9% of the population, and here it comes, 90% of the nation owns the last third.
So within this 90%, the average person only has a yearly income of 15,278 $
I'm sure the wealthiest Americans, the 11% are very happy with you being their proganda caddy.

The response of republicans, including Ron Paul - to block progress on needed health care reform is what outrages me.
jermil956 1 year ago
@jermil956

TMaw345 1 year ago
@jermil956
Way to speak for the majority of Americans. A majority would also like a private option. That's true compromising...
TMaw345 1 year ago
@TMaw345 The majority did vote for health care reform, this is a very popular issue. This is one of the key differences that put Obama over McCain in the pools by many votes. I do not think you can truly say that I am making that up. What are we compromising? I think you need to focus on the subject more and less on making personal / emotionally charged assaults on others.
jermil956 1 year ago
@jermil956 The majority did not vote for the personal mandate. Which is unconstitutional unamerican and pro slavery. Forcing Americans to buy something against their is about as unconstitutional as you can get. Anybody who vote for Obamacare which has the personal mandate hate freedom and the Constitution that was written to protect it. Also when running Shiliary, Obama was against it Shiliary was for it. He got applause for being against it. Obama is a liar.

Lets be prepared.

g4macdad 1 year ago
@g4macdad
FACTS only please. I don't want VOODOO economic propaganda, I am not that gullible.
I will hold my breath for the answer. ROTFLMAO
g4macdad 1 year ago
@g4macdad His ideas are ignored and never implimented, so how can they work if we won't use them? He wants our military completely removed from the rest of the world. He wants the federal government drastically reduced in size and the income tax abolished. He's never voted for a budget that not balanced. Who knows exactly how much things could help the people but I fail to see how his ideas of small government and liberty would be bad for anyone.
BudWithBeats76 1 year ago
@BudWithBeats76 Because his "ideas" are bogus. He "opposes" things he KNOWS will never change, and endorses ALL of the same voodoo principals of GW Bush that has brought us to where we are. "Small" government is helpful to the wealthy, but if you actually look up wage disparity, you will see that THEY don't even need "help".
It is called VOODOO for a reason. The concept is 100% illogical. "help" to one class "really" "helps" the other class. The numbers PROVE it is BOGUS!
g4macdad 1 year ago
@g4macdad Ron Paul hated the policies of Bush and spoke out against them all the time. This wage war is just a tool to keep people voting left. Personally I think both parties are corrupt and so does Dr. Paul. Our governemnt has been expanding for a long time and things have only gotten worse. I have no doubt wall-street is full of greedy thieves but the Fed helps them in their treason. Check out HR 4248 and HR 1207 submitted by Ron Paul.
BudWithBeats76 1 year ago
@BudWithBeats76
NO catchy phrases, the NUMBERS PROVE it.
g4macdad 1 year ago
@g4macdad I'm completely against the fed helping out big corporations. Big government always helps big money. Half of Obama's cabinet once worked for Goldman Sachs! They gave him money and now they support his reform bill. They know it will give them unlimited bailouts and take away all risk of failure. Thats supposed to help the people? If the people don't like what wall-street is doing maybe they should stop being pawns and take their money and retirement funds out.
BudWithBeats76 1 year ago
@BudWithBeats76
MORE or the same OPINIONS about what needs to be done. SHOW NUMBERS PLEASE!
g4macdad 1 year ago
@BudWithBeats76 They can take away ALL risks of failure night and day. Then we just FORCE them to share. It is NOT hand-outs. It is LIVING WAGES for WORK.
If the GOVERNMENT does not ensure this, NOBODY WILL genius. This is not my opinion. THE NUMBERS PROVE IT.
g4macdad 1 year ago
@g4macdad We can if pull our head out of sand and take responsibility for ourselves and what we allow to happen to us. Government works for them, not us, have for a long time. wake up.
BudWithBeats76 1 year ago
@g4macdad and Bush, just like Obama, campaigned on things he never into to follow through with. Republicans talk like they agree with sound financial policy and sound money but they never act on those ideas. Its not about left or right, its about up and down. The big government supports the corporations on top and keeps the people down. Bush supported this system and so does Obama.
BudWithBeats76 1 year ago

Anyone?
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
I would have to agree with you except Ron Paul votes the way he belives. I challenge you to find out what he says and see the way his votes go in washington. Dont listen just to what people say... findout for yourself.
187Unseen 2 years ago 2
I agree that some politicians are better than others.
However the problem in the US as I see it is the political system.
I think the political system works much better in EU. One can argue about policy, EU being more socialistic ect, but I dont think you can argue that democracy works better over there.
The main source for that as I see it is campaign donations. They have laws to stop money flowing into politics.
RP would either get corrupted by money or stopped by the other corrupts.
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
i dont remember mentioning the EU at all. Sovereignty of the states is a truth this generation is 4getting about
187Unseen 2 years ago
i appreciate the civil reply but i only had one point in my original comment. and that was dont comment about it... find out for yourself instead of listening to others words :)
187Unseen 2 years ago
Yeah thats the only way to get some truth, agree 100%.
About the EU thing. I totally used it the wrong way. I meant it as the local European countries way of doing stuff. Not the union itself:P That has some issues like you mentioned.
Anyway, nice talking to you:)
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
Probably. He's still a good guy to get behind for awareness purposes, I believe.
Madfoot713 2 years ago
TheSaltyAdmiral, you can't simply say that hating the government is bad, it's for what reason that makes the difference.
You may hate the government for certain reasons, but what is the best way to change the government for the better? Become a politician and do it yourself.

I personally liked this part: (6) it is possible and desirable to cap greenhouse gas emissions, from sources that together account for the majority of those emissions in the United States, at the current level in 2012, and to lower the cap each year between 2012 and 2050, on the condition that the system includes--
(a) cost containment measures;
(b) periodic review of requirements;
(c) an aggressive program for deploying advanced energy technology;

hmmm, It seems to me he is trying to scare people.
MRMROWE 2 years ago
im not sure how to feel today, i dont belive in co2 related climate change, i was calling my senators last friday telling them how much i hate cap and trade. but today i read the EPA is threatening to regulate co2 emissions themselves if cap and trade doesnt pass. seems like people are determined to stamp out this life giving gas

Maybe this ought to be a permanent situation: Democrats in power, Republicans opposing. History shows Republicans can't do jack when in power, but in the 90s and now, they might be able to limit some Democratic excesses.

so small businesses like restaurants could cut back on emissions and sell their emissions credits to big companies. so the big companies get flexibility without hurting the environment overall and it puts some cash in the pockets of small business owners. i knew the small business owners were corrupt. yet beneficial to themselves, their communities, and the big businesses. plus i dont trust ron paul, he had gay sex with sasha baron cohen.

Every major scientific organization endorses the theory of global warming? I dont know if you have heard of an org. called NASA but they do not endorse global warming.
wentzel78 2 years ago
You're knowledge level of global warming science is on a par with other people posting here. NASA's climate unit has been one of the main organizations warning of the dangers of climate change. Just go to their website you dimwit.
Johnnymaca356 2 years ago
perhaps you aren't seeing the memo's that are coming to light now about this being a huge scam.
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
@wentzel78
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
It will be about the carbon credit exchange: competition and trade of credits, soon to be fraud and crony kickbacksconsolidation under the politicos for insiders. Elite to travel and live like kings: but er, all for ECOLOGY.
Human impact on the environment is minimal at most so crap and trade isnt the answer to save the world! lol gimme a break
terps4eva9 2 years ago
Glaciers are melting at an increasing rate worldwide threatening the water supply of a billion people. California is already facing water shortages as a result of a reduced snowpack. The arctic should be continuing in a cooling cycle as it is getting slightly less sunlight each year, the only explanation for the recent dramatic warming is the increase in CO2. Every major scientific organization in the world has endorsed the theory of GW. It would be completely nuts to do nothing about it.
Johnnymaca356 2 years ago
Hey Johnny that's BS. Glaciers have been increasing and global temperature averages have been decreasing in the past several years. I use to be for strong measures to cut down on Co2 until I saw real facts (not the Al Gore fake ones). That's why so many eco-alarmists have changed their words from "global warming" to "climate change'.
I'm still very much for protecting our beautiful planet and cleaning it up, but much of what they are selling you now is propaganda. It's all about the money.
Pulselost 2 years ago 2
(continued from above) Their information is very similar to what you will see on NASA's website in case you don't believe NASA. The IPCC put out a report on glaciers worldwide not long ago, they said that glaciel melt rates are increasing almost everywhere. Every other independent study on glaciers I have seen have agreed with this assessment. An article in the paper a couple days ago said Mt. Kilimanjaro has lost 25% of it's glacial mass since just the year 2000.
Johnnymaca356 2 years ago
You are falling prey to some kind of BS propaganda. If you look at NASA's wesbite many of the warmest years on record have been in the last ten years. The only reason people are incorrectly saying it's cooling is because 1998 was such a warm year due to El Nino. It is very poor analysis to use that one year as a way to say its cooling. In the UK the Met Office (look up their website) also tracks worlwide temperatures. (continued below)
Johnnymaca356 2 years ago
So who gives a shit? Millions of years ago, we had frozen land masses that thawed out & (guess what) became inhabitable for humans. Are you trying to get back to the Ice Age? Temps flucuate. It's natural, & if it ends up being catastrophic to us, be assured it wasn't due to my car or my dog. This is a bunch of crap thought up by some liberal democrat as a way to get more money. It's what they do. It's why they are in politics. Why else would someone spend millions to take a job that pays 100k?
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
You don't have a clue what you're talking about. You have no idea how sophisticated the scientific community is. If you think they don't know what they're doing you are only demonstrating the considerable depth of your ignorance. I would think you would have to be insane or mentally challenged to believe it is a conspiracy. Every developed country in the world is concerned with climate change. You think there's a worldwide conspiracy? If you do you are suffering from paranoid delusions.
Johnnymaca356 2 years ago
Suuuuuure.....just like they came out and called it "global warming...." They were so sure then, right? Now that it's been PROVEN that they are full of crap, they call it "climate change" so it covers temp change both ways. It's a bunch of hocus pocus. And don't think that scientists aren't paid off with taxpayer money to say whatever the admin in charge wants. Get a clue and stop drinking the Kool Aid. Also, there are other smart people in this world. Stop being so arrogant.
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
ABSOLUTELY!!!! Couldn't have said it better myself. The libs just keep drinking all the Kool Aid so they won't have to admit they've been duped by their heroes.
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
You are wrong! CO2 has nothing to do with it.
DavidValley 2 years ago 2
LOL
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
Melting glaciers release water until the glaciers shrink to the point that they no longer hold much water. In Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia they are already facing water shortages due to retreating glaciers. Why don't you google shrinking andes glaciers and learn something, rather than expressing opinions about things you know absolutely nothing about.
Johnnymaca356 2 years ago
They "shrink" due to evaporation, which gets released into the atmosphere. Which then comes back to earth in the form of rain. Knock off your bullshit. For all we know, you are some govt lacky on here to sell your snake oil for Obama. Beat it.
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
Nice attempt at projection there!
Buying "expert" opinions to spread doubt.
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
Private market as in Al Gore investing in Green companies who stand to benefit from going green? Global Warming from CO2 is bullshit junk science. Get a clue.
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
Its funny how GW can't be real because someone is smart enough to make money on it. However, you don't seem to notice how insane amounts of money people make as we speak by delaying change.
So, since people make billions claming its fake, does that make them liars? According to your logic it does.
And btw, you got balls telling me to get a clue when you think every major scientific and governmental institution on the planet is involved in a conspiracy to get your money...
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
No, what's really funny is how these hacks get caught tossing contrary data and such, and saying that something in an email was an "oversight" and you tree huggers STILL buy into their BS because it makes you feel better. When are you libs ever going to wake up and recognize some things as the frauds that they are.
BTW, your last sentence about the govt conspiring to get my money is hilarious. Isn't that really was govt is by definition? Idiot.
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
Yes I admit, I buy into scientists that have proven their credibility like those I mentioned.
You believe in the bible, and the imaginary dude above.
No, governments are not for conspiring to get your money. The reason you believe that is because you're an American and the name of your teacher is Glenn Beck.
The US governments are indeed bad ones most of the time, I give you that. But in Europe they are mostly in touch with reality.
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
So how are govt's in Europe in touch with reality? The truth is you and every other country in Europe hates America because we've had to save each and every one of you at some time in your history. It breeds contempt, I understand. We'll see who calls who the next time someone invades Europe. It's always like whiney kids running to mom. LMAO
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
bullshit. 75% of the world is covered in water. We could never drink all that water. Maybe science should concentrate their efforts on making it fresh water.
RavensFan2812 2 years ago
They do, don't know if you've heard of Bellona? They are planning massive saltwater to freshwater installations in Africa.
The problem is the poor people that rely on water from nature, how on earth are we gonna produce on a scale that big, around the world, and on top of that give it away for free?
To stop the glaciers from melting away is a far better solution than coping with the consequences afterwards.
But we should of course do both. I think our main focus should be to reforest Sahara.
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
the sahara desert? that sounds expensive. isnt that the biggest one?
UniteForgetLeftRight 2 years ago
That would indeed be expensive, and yes it is the biggest one.
But it is not as expensive as one would think. Because you would only reforest strategic points throughout the desert, and the forest itself will fill in the gaps over time. Basically all we need to do is bring water, nature does the rest.
And the benefits of turning the Sahara desert into the Sahara forest is almost immeasurable.
I'm not just talking about GW, we will benefit from it in a much broader perspective.
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
well if it could be sustainable without constant human irrigation sounds like a really out there but nontheless a good idea
UniteForgetLeftRight 2 years ago
Yeah, that is the thing, if it must be kept alive by us, its kind of counter productive. I guess no one knows for sure, but at least on small scale experiments it looked promising.
I will try to find the article again, and give you a link.
TheSaltyAdmiral 2 years ago
Unfortunately a lot of the stuff I read is in Norwegian, becase I'm from Norway. But just google "sahara forest project" and you will find a lot of info and images of it. Also a lot of stuff about it on youtube.
Hope you find it interesting!
Take care :)
