@Jync79 it the ECM jammer and it's much better than flares in my opinion as it stops all lock ons, even laser guided missiles.

Hey sometimes I see Choppers deploy a black smoke that make it really hard to lock on to. Its not flares or smoke from damage. What is it???

Heat seakers will lock on to any air vehicle. So not only heli's and jets, but MAV's as well.

Thanks man, I got interested in the attack heli after a dominating run with an incredible pilot. I usually just spawn in as infantry, but I realised that I'm missing the whole battlefield experience!

jammer is good but is pretty much the same as flares I use jammed because jammer loads 6 seconds faster that may be small but can save u it has for me and tv missiles are the sex u can hit tanks and air stuff like jets 1 hit disable most of the time hope this helps

Correction: Laserpainter marks enemies for all guided missiles, including tanks ground-ground-missiles, stingers, jet missiles and chopper guided missiles.

Its the same like the SOFLAM !

I really think IR flares should be permanent like the below radar so we could have another unlock in second place... Its just suicide to fly without flares, extinguisher could be nice so you dont have to land to repair when your just under 50 percent and going down

Zoom optics can be very useful - it is much easier to keep an accurate aim on ground units from a distance while using it.

Great Vid, I'm an amature Pilot atm and this was really useful so I know what to be excited about when unlocking stuff :)

I have heard the gunner's flares have a longer cooldown so are less useful than the pilot's flares? can anyone confirm?

Also, neat tip: when mentioning any PC controls put a small info box with the PS3/360 controls so it can be a more universal guide!

Below radar upgrade is only for air-to-air missiles, it doesn't affect ground-to-air missiles like the stinger or igla carried by engineers.
