I hate how it's called the Twilight "SAGA". A saga is a complicated story of heroic achievement that takes over a long period of time. Twilight is a basic story pulled out of Smeyer's ass that has weak characters, a subpar plot, and writing that resembles that of a twelve year old girl.

The story takes place over about 2 years, and there is no epic achievement in the books, with no message or lesson to be learned at the end. There's no heroic prose. It's a series for teenage girls, not a saga.

Here's the story: Boy meets girl, boy must defeat girl's seven evil ex boyfriends (one of them is a girl by the way). It has video game references and characters that are likeable (despite their many flaws). There's also a movie (which didn't do well at the box office sadly). If you ask me, that's my Twilight.

Okay, I am a thirteen year old girl and I utterly DESPISE Twilight. The book, and Stephenie Meyer, are an insult to great literature, and the entire vampire genre. I attempted to read Twilight and suffered over 130 pages before I threw it out. im a girl and i HATE twilight. then again im not a teen but an old fart of 26. when i was a teen i read brilliantly written books by authors w/ actual talent like anne rice's vampire chronicles, nancy a collins sonja blue series, carmilla, dracula, stephen king, hp lovecraft, lotr etc. i just hope they're done making the twilight movies and then given time the movies and books will fade and be forgotten.
