  • BEAUTIFUL FATAPUUUUU YERRRR

  • I am so thrilled to see an american doing my cultures dance and i have to say she is one awesome dancer, massive props to the both of them woop woop

  • perfect

  • Nice job, but the hip band seemed a bit too high.

  • They did a really good job, since they learned this in such a short time.

Fact: This drumming and dance originated in the Cook Islands, not Tahiti, which the Tahitians adopted in the early 1900's.

  • i have been a very huge fan of the american and australian tv hit show"so you think you can dance"for many years and have not seen polynesian dance used in this show ever or any other polynesian dance. so i am proud to say thank u so much for including this special dance on your show and would love to see more in the future..

  • Kia Orana or I'a Orana, i am of cook island and tahitian heritage and a professional polynesian dancer myself its great to see that polynesian(tahitian, hawaiian or cook island etc) dancing is been shown on this show.

  • well done to mark and lauren both have done really well in the short period of time that they had to learn to dance this number its not easy but you both looked absolutely incredible and u both made me proud to be a polynesian gurl..

  • Tahitian dance is 1 of the best and sexy too.

  • she did great a little african in it but i love that she put her all in it and i giver her much respect to them bot....they did a great job

  • Well yeah. I wasn't trying to offend her && she was a beginner sorry if I hit a nerve/: buhh I'm still learning myself I'm still young...so yeah

  • go Tiana!!!! i'aorana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • from a poly point of view...WELL DONE!!! for few days given to learn the dance.. wow. unbeliveable.. Great job Mark & Lauren... true pro..

  • wow for a palangi girl she can dance it very well she had a good teacher nd me nd mi sisters been doing these dances ever since our kid age nd its good to know that the world has seen it before...makes me think why cant i do the same....im glad other peaple are learning polynesian dances b/c they are the hardest to learn once you learn poly dances any other dances are easer to learn...

  • wow. GOOD ON HER! she just learned it and she did good for a newbie. especially someone who doesn't do this kind of dance. i do belly dancing and i think tahitian dance is so amazing i want to learn.

    aloha from hawaii

  • I love haters. keep bringing it on haters.

  • Mark is hott!

  • everything was ok... minus the costumes. they look like giant turkeys. lmao! but good job for not being polynesian dancers!

  • pretty gudd for somone who just learned how to faarapu =] WELL DONE ,WELLDONE !

  • pretty gudd for somone who just learned how to faarapu =] WELL DONE ,WELLDONE !

  • This is NOT Tahitian. This is stylized, pop, WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!?!? Real, traditional Tahitian doesn't TRY to look this sensual. Go look up HereTama Nui. They're a pretty hardcore Tahitian dance group

  • @ashiegurl808 It's Tahitian. Just not traditional. Let's just say it's a spin off of Tahitian. Just as, though not quite similar, 'Auana is not technically traditional Hula and sometimes tries to look more sensual than Kahiko.

  • U GUYSZ NEED REALL TAHITIANSZ AND HAWAIIANSZ 2 DANCE DIS SORRY LIKE MEH I LUV TAHITITAN ITSZ MY TING..... AND HER HIPS R 2 DAMN SMALL

  • She messed up the culture in this Tahitian dance. We need real Polynesian Dancers to make this look alot better. This is just upsetting for us islanders.

  • She wasn't good but I admire her effort and hard work she put into it. And before you guys start going 'I would like to see you try!' I would like to say this is coming from someone who dances tahitian, tongan, samoan, and hawaiian. So don't try and diss me. Because I know what I'm talking about.

  • @TheBabyGal27 You've probably been doing that dance style for years but she had to learn that in mere days so it's not really a fair comparison. I thought they both did a great job.

  • i wish i could dance like that.. salute to all you dancers out there ^_^

  • you need a real islanders to do this routine... sorry to be mean :P

  • to me it was just a lot of shaking but it was OKay

  • if the hands were more gracefull and you had a fake tan, i may have thought you were polynesian:)

  • move ur knees and focus on the front and back motion. but good job!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dat was actually tight, for sumone who jus learned it she did good...

  • yeah it is good to see the polynesian dance they should have more of it!!!!(:

    808!!

  • its nice seeing a polynesian dance culture finally on the show, cant wait for some more of it

  • THATS HOW WE DO! NONOSINA!!! n i totally cracked up when the judge couldnt pronounce fa'arapu hahaha so cute

  • Tahitian dance take years to perfect .... its very difficult, just depends ....

there are different levels but if you watch someone who is a professional Tahitian dancer, you will see how it all comes together.

if you try it at home, your legs will hurt like hell .

my mother was a professional dancer and she would dance in the same position for 2 hours strait ... its crazy

  • @piilani99 ohh and the dance was so cute ... very well done ..bravo!

did you see his face while at practice ...he was in PAIN

  • For those of you who thought this was "terrible" YOUR OUT OF YOUR MIND!!! This dance was awesome!!! I watch this over and over..She did wonderful, even the people who teach Tahitian dancing, gave it a thumbs up and said it was fabulous.

  • considering she only had a few hours to learn this, and never doing tahitian before, she did amazing!!! Even a beginner student with many classes under her belt, could do it that well. Tiana is AMAZING!!! The duck in heat thing is a little annoying. It's beautiful costuming and the dance is beautiful.....I am so glad it was on this show !!!!

  • they did ok but what i dont like is the hib band thing on the girl lady

  • Wow they are terrible at tahitian dancing

  • @oOHulaGirlOo that's exactly what i was thinking! Hahaha!!

  • my wife normally watches this must have missed this. nice seeing a tahitian dance or somewhat tahitian dance on main stream tv. thanks for the upload

  • What song was that??

  • @PinayArtista jungle by los voices

  • @heihc1120 Haha, thanks! I really didn't see that the song title was shown in the beginning of the video. :P I just saw it after the second time watching

  • for a beginner she is great at doing the fa'a rapu!!

  • @actsuper1 really? cool!

  • DUDE! I <3 IIT!

  • loved it!!! I'm so proud of those two, especially Tiana for bringing island dances to So You Think You Can Dance! Tamure! Tamure!

  • tiana liufau is a beast!!!!
