My experience:A tire manufacturer came up with a new series of motorcycle tires and massively advertised that the "scientifically designed" tire will provide more grip and I went for it. My mechanic, also a motor enthusiast warned me that the tire tread seemed to be designed more for the track than for everyday road conditions.The tire was very slippery under wet conditions. Lesson learnt: Settle for button tread tires for more traction.

What a design! The concept is to add 50% more tire contact, put the power in the middle wheel, and leave the turning to both the front and rear hubs... much less chance for the power wheel to break loose and fishtail under power, especially in a turn... even the middle axle weight decreases in a turn, fascinating! Also, 3 hubs are braked.
