  • 1% of women get this??? What are the odds of it being me? I was having hotflashes at 25 y/o. I thought I was having BP problems and was so thankful it was winter and I would go stand outside for a few minutes for relief. lol I was diagnosed with menopause and started taking HRT at age 29 mainly for bone health. Thankfully, this works in my favor since I have NO desire for children but it sucks because I do like to ride horses so the bone health issue does worry me. So devestating? Not really.

  • i really do hope i dont have this D:

  • I have it at 35 i'm on anti depressants still have periods for now. I have one child thankfully.

  • I was 14. I'm 19 now.

  • I was diagnosed at 33, no children, marriage broken and now auto-imune deseases like reumathoid polyarthritis.

    Science does not care!!

  • I have this. Was diagnosed at 19.

  • I too have this, was diagnosed at 17

  • You can have poi and regular menstrual cycles. I am 36, fragile x carrier, about to embark on my third cycle of IVF and have always had regular menstrual periods. There should be population based screening for all women for fragile x - a pre vocational medical would have been helpful and aided me in resisting some of the messages re postponing having children vs career and getting ourselves financially set up first. The grief /devastation is not easily resolved.

  • i was diagnosed with POF at age 22, had done tons of laboratory tests and m in HRT now.. good enough i am a med student and i do understand everything that m going thru..

people should know the difference between menopause and POF, lay people mis-interchange the two..

  • i was at 19 but i didnt go back to the doctor...now im 21 and dont really find someone who knows how to deal with this...what r u doing about it?

  • got no choice but to deal wd it, m positive wd autoimmune anti-bodies.

i suggest you go back to your doctor for follow up, there are lots of consequences having no estrogen in ur body. i am on hrt treatment for almost 9months, my periods regular already, i dont experienced hot flushes anymore, yet i still develop osteoporosis. see how worse can u get if dont get the right supportive treatment for ur case?

girl, God will never give you something u cant handle. trust HIM, yet do your part

  • I have this disorder. Are there any online support groups?
