its not a playback, at least his singing is not. but its true that the instrumental sounds like a playback or stuart plays it exactly like on the cd, which is almost impossible.

he has a couple of times but he usually only does it if he really has to - for example if he has a sore throat. He also tends to sing over playback when he does use it lol. Just gives a better sound sometimes-as long as it sounds good-who cares lol.

When Stuart Zender was in the band - 1992 - 1998 was the best for me.
But the proper 'sweet-spot' of Jamiroquai's sounds in my opinion was 1996-1998. That covers TWM album, their gigs in that period, and the album 'Symphonized' that was never released.
Many will disagree there, but that's me.
Hopefully, Jamiroquai's new album that will probably be released next year will be great. Paul Turner is a great bassist!
