  • Can't wait till this comes out!

  • OUTRAGEOUS NEW GAME - TETRIS!

  • @123SpacemanSpiff If I am right at the time of that commercial the game wasn't finished yet and they didn't have the label for the game cart done yet.

  • Yep, still have mine, but the batteries leaked :( Gotta get that thing up and running again!!

  • If you built a house with Game Boys it would stay standing for a very long time. :D

  • The cartridge look some strange, maybe these are beta cartridge or it's only for commercial purpose?

  • and what's with the Matell in the corner?

  • All Nintendo products sold in Australia and Canada were distributed by Mattel at that time. I still have my original Super Mario Bros. 2 cartridge with the Mattel logo on it.

  • @lemonrind NES was distributed by Mattel in Italy too

  • @Zer067 I thought the NES was put on the Italian market by Gig Electronics, whom also put the Super NES and Nintendo 64 on the Italian market?

  • @an1man1ac54l1f3 yep, NES was from Mattel and GIG, SNES too. I don't rember if was the same for N64 but it's pretty sure it was.

  • Did tetris come out with the game boy?

  • @dexter280 I think Super Mario Land came first, Tetris followed very shortly...

  • I have a refurbished GBC and a N64 I also have a gamecube and Dreamcast

  • all together, i vave game gear ps1, ps2, ps2 ds n64 gba gbc xbox 360

  • I've got GBA SPx2, GBCx2, GB, N64, PS2, Nintendo DSx2, PSPx2 and 7 PC's

  • I have a refurbished original Game Boy from 1989 (Japan and the US had it in '89, while Europe and Australia in '90). It goes where I go, and is always in my pocket.

Also, I get sound for this video.

  • Yeah and I got VBA so I can get any GBC/GB/GBA games I want for free with gameshark codes

  • You therefore prove that you fail. Emulation sucks, unless you are hacking or trying a game. The real deal FTW.

  • I have all the real stuff but I live and Vanuatu and you can't buy most games here

  • Then buy a flash cartridge and at least use authentic hardware.

  • I've got a flash cartridge for DS

  • Get an original Game Boy flash cart.

  • I don't think they sell them anymore and I've already got all the games I like for gameboy

  • They still sell flash carts for Atari 2600 and US/Eur NES, so they probably have original Game Boy.

  • I don't really want one though

  • And I have a NES

  • and I have a girlfriend.

  • So do I

  • i don't

  • same

  • that makes 3 of us

  • I have a US NES, plus 2 fried boards, an empty case, plus other systems, too. I have 2 Atari 2600s (a working 1978 one, and a Jr. mode, plus a working board from a 1981 model), 2 Famicoms (one is fried, one is like brand new), a US NES, a US SNES, an N64 (plus a working board), a GCN, a Wii, plus my handhelds: 3 original Game Boys (plus parts), a Game Boy Colour (unused), a broken GBA SP (though I won't use it, even if I repair it), and a broken DS (same as GBA SP).

  • why is so many of your shit broken?

  • Most of it isn't durable enough. The Gamecube died because of a defective laser, a problem with several Gamecubes.

One of the 2 NES boards was my fault. Thye other one was ruined when something spilled.

  • weird ive had a cube since launch and it works perfectly fine while 2 ps2 broke on me, and ive never heard of that problem

  • Mine worked for 7 years. I bought mine new in 2001. In 2008, it just stopped reading disks. I currently have it apart, and I am currently trying to repair it.

  • =p

I've had mine since like 1993 and it still works =)

  • Mine works too, and it was made in 1989. When Communism was collapsing and the Berlin Wall was falling, my Game Boy already existed.

  • me too, gamecube is still going strong.

  • lmao , nah game cube died, now ps2 is living it up!!

  • No, PS2 will just live lonely and depressed until it finally dies, much like the PS1 after 2001. I don't even know why Sony bothered to keep it alive. At least Nintendo's Famicom stayed popular until it was discontinued in 2003 (and only because parts were no longer available). PS1 was not popular in its slow, lonely, and depressing death.

  • i have all them games!!

  • thats the future of gaming right there

  • my nes is a mattel version

  • oh please go piss off lamer -_-'

i bet you suck at playing games with no cheats >.>

    Gameboy's Rock <3

i still have mine somewhere ^^

    with a real Pie-rat cartridge <3

  • YEAH i still have MY good old brick, and love it

  • are you 9 or something?

the games were good and they sold 70 million units so... it's not bad you are just a n00b

  • Wait, why does it have that mattel at the end?

  • My guess is that Mattel had the licence to sell Nintendo products in Australia at the time.

  • @tomchristmas Yeah i think so to.

I live in Australia and i saw my first nes in person, near the 'cover flap' it said the usual and mattel edition or something like it.

Btw that us a really bad Aussie accent :P

  • Mattel was the distributor for a lot of Nintendo products outside of the US and Japan.

  • If I remember rightly, Nintendo Australia was not set up until 1994.

  • @KrazyKarasz yes, during the 80s and early 90s Nintendo didn't have an office here to my knowledge so Mattel did the distributing.
