@RetrovocationNation I thought the same thing, that is until I realized that the GBA changes the color scheme of any black and white Game Boy game if you play with the d pad and b button.
@123SpacemanSpiff If I am right at the time of that commercial the game wasn't finished yet and they didn't have the label for the game cart done yet.

I have a refurbished original Game Boy from 1989 (Japan and the US had it in '89, while Europe and Australia in '90). It goes where I go, and is always in my pocket.
I have a US NES, plus 2 fried boards, an empty case, plus other systems, too. I have 2 Atari 2600s (a working 1978 one, and a Jr. mode, plus a working board from a 1981 model), 2 Famicoms (one is fried, one is like brand new), a US NES, a US SNES, an N64 (plus a working board), a GCN, a Wii, plus my handhelds: 3 original Game Boys (plus parts), a Game Boy Colour (unused), a broken GBA SP (though I won't use it, even if I repair it), and a broken DS (same as GBA SP).
Mine worked for 7 years. I bought mine new in 2001. In 2008, it just stopped reading disks. I currently have it apart, and I am currently trying to repair it.
No, PS2 will just live lonely and depressed until it finally dies, much like the PS1 after 2001. I don't even know why Sony bothered to keep it alive. At least Nintendo's Famicom stayed popular until it was discontinued in 2003 (and only because parts were no longer available). PS1 was not popular in its slow, lonely, and depressing death.

why is so many of your shit broken?
NightGoblin5 2 years ago
Most of it isn't durable enough. The Gamecube died because of a defective laser, a problem with several Gamecubes.
One of the 2 NES boards was my fault. Thye other one was ruined when something spilled.
VaderNES 2 years ago
weird ive had a cube since launch and it works perfectly fine while 2 ps2 broke on me, and ive never heard of that problem

My guess is that Mattel had the licence to sell Nintendo products in Australia at the time.

@tomchristmas Yeah i think so to.
I live in Australia and i saw my first nes in person, near the 'cover flap' it said the usual and mattel edition or something like it.
Btw that us a really bad Aussie accent :P

If I remember rightly, Nintendo Australia was not set up until 1994.
AdiRudi 4 years ago 2
@KrazyKarasz yes, during the 80s and early 90s Nintendo didn't have an office here to my knowledge so Mattel did the distributing.
