  • Very beautiful song :) Any other Lovin' Spoonful/Doors fans who think that John Sebastian and Ray Manzarek could be twins? Hmmm

  • One Of My favorite songs. Just beautiful! a masterpiece!

  • This song brings me back to our ninth grade picnic in 1970. We went to a park and it rained all day. My friends Noreen and Donna and I took shelter in tthis little pavilion with some cute guys from who knows where?

    What great days those were.

  • Yay Lorey!! She inspired so much of the music.

  • forgotten but remembered on a lazy rainy day

  • I still think John Lennon liked the looks of John Sebastian with the glasses and started wearing them also. Just check out Hey Bulldog. They look like first cousin's twice removed.

  • (paraphrased) - "We were entertainers, not politicians!" ... John, on the peace movement... (but really.. they all were "peace activists," just some didn't recognize it, I guess :)

  • Always reminds me of my first girlfriend(s)

  • Hauntingly beautiful song!!!!

  • @Scarabaeus1 I still sing it in the car :)

  • John Sebastian is a hottie. You gotta love a man who can play the harp!

  • one of the greats

  • Still I love this song. It's me good feeling.

  • Heh, virtual harp playing. (backwards harp). Still a pretty song.

  • Rain on the Roof! By The Lovin' Spoonful! Classic Late 1960s Pop!

  • The Lovin' Spoonful had 4 musical geniuses. John Sebastian could play autoharp, Irish Harp (in the video), guitar, harmonica, and keyboards. Zal Yanovsky could play guitar and pedal steel guitar, as well as sing. Steve Boone was good on bass guitar, piano, keyboards, and guitar. He also sang on occasion. Joe Butler played drums and is an excellent singer (and father of Yancy Butler), and in the current incarnation of the Spoonful, plays autoharp and guitar.

  • Classic Spoonful from sweet 1966... I'm "Lovin'" it! 5 Stars!!!

  • For those of you that are wondering what show this clip is from it is from a episode of The Hollywood Palace from 1966

  • What show is this vid from? Do they do an interview with the band or anything on it?

  • He wrote some great tunes!
