  • I joined virgin media broadband in jan of this year (2011) Payed 12 months in advance...every month got a e-mail evey month saying bill due £0.00, ok good...but got a bill this week for £1 ?? Virgin have been charging me a £10.00 late payment fee for not paying £0.00 per month..It will cost me £5 payment handling charge to pay the £1 and if i don't they will cut my services !! tyring to deal with it but keep getting an indian man who can't understand a scottish accent....taking legal advice.

  • don't forget about there non direct debit charge (or has that gone now). virgin media payment system was designed by the devil on crack. i despise them with a passion. (even tho i am happy with the product i hate this company) what ever happened to making your customers happy. if they went but i would dance on their grave. lol

  • What? You mean that you have to be without services for 10 days to pay off the late fee? Virgin Media really wont be bothered with that in the slightest, you're still paying them the £10.00 and saving them from providing you a service for 10 days. This is so stupid.

  • @Jammy2james

    wrong

the total amount virgin media loose out on is £11.00

If you looked at the comparison chart it was

£100 with the LPC (Total bill)

£90 with a LPC refund honoured

£89 without a LPC refund honoured

It then explains the mass difference over several customers

As an ex-employee of Virgin Media I know it works because they look at the long term / wider picture not just the small picture your looking at

LPC are applied automatically and printed same as ur monthly bill

  • @Devilzwishbone2009 Your looking at it from a single person only

£11 to a multination company whats that?? nothing

but when you look at it on the masses such as 500 people then your looking at £5500 loss

500 out of the 5.5 billion customers it has at the time is still a drop in the ocean compared to its 25% of late payers

Having worked for them for 3 1/2 yrs 98% of customers get a late payment charge at some point the revenue it gains from this is massive so if only 10% of its customers did ...

  • @Devilzwishbone2009 ... did this your looking at 550,000 x £11 thats a lot of loss on revenue and because your not using the services legally they cannot charge for them so they arent any better off infact they are at a greater loss of £1 (£550,000) per month

Quite smart when you think about it

  • People clearly didnt read the video

Its not saying the person is unwilling to pay, its stating if VM are charging were other companies dont and charging well over the odds

The comments bellow the last 2 are like saying If you go overdrawn u all agree on the overdraft charges yet there is a big court case happening over this.

The video simply shows you how to get yours late payment charges back in a smart way whilst agreing to clear the balances for the services used

  • Absolutely I agree wth ukraptor

  • I have a crystal clear payment record, but when I changed Banks the direct debits did not overlap so payment were late and I was charged, some were understanding and refunded charge but some like VM are not so understanding.

There are genuine reasons for late payments so the only idiots here are posted below | V
