He had no input on Usher's debut album and the album sucked. I'm so glad Usher didn't take this sitting down like B5 and Dream and the other failed diddy projects. Usher and his mom went to So So Def and revamped his career in Atlanta.

I don't think Usher even remembers this...his first single. I remember being 14 years old, diving in front of the TV to watch this. VH1 and The Box used to play this in Sacramento. He was 13 years old, and I loved him then and I love him now. Usher Ray bay bay! I don't think even he remembers the words to this song, I tried to get his attention at the concert when he said he was looking for his original fans. He didn't see me OF COURSE! IS was on the floor but row 24 :-(

This is one of ushers best, IF NOT best songs. You can tell timbaland did some programming because, they are the snares/drums he uses now. But, DeVante probably played the keys. If you got to Timbalands myspace, he says HE produced this. Lol. who knows...

Have you read the interviews that Susan from Sugah and Smokey from Playa did recently? They shed light on some things. Susan was saying Timbo didn't actually develop his own signature sound until around 97/98, which I can believe. . To me, this sounds like signature Devante. It has that trippy, atmospheric sound and that ain't Timbaland.
