  • Really?

  • Dear ihrmc, as much as I'm a complete stranger over the internet, I wish to express my sincere condolences.

  • I'm in tears I feel so bad

  • I felt much the same after viewing Aron's video.

  • trolls go find another fight assholes, give some respect to people in pain.

go take a arrow to your own knee fuckers, see how pain feels for real.

  • I lived in Tx for over 10 years and I got to meet Aron when he first came to Austin to appear on The Atheist Experience in March, 2010.

He may look forboding to some with his biker persona, but he is a genuinely warm, decent-hearted guy; a lot of fun to chat with, and a compassionate soul.

At that time, he told me that the cancer was defeated and, so, I was shocked and saddened to see his video about the reversal. I have 3 grandkids, and I cannot imaging losing any of them. Deepest Sympathy

  • @AlanCFA I do think his warm personality comes through too, despite the gruff outer appearance (which I just think adds to the overall package of Aron). I don't have children or grandchildren yet, but the idea of losing one so young, even when it is expected, is just heartbreaking.

  • Condolences go out to AronRa.

    Strength in truth, brother.

  • Thank you for this. Many of the written responses were genuinely moving and much appreciated too, especially the ones sharing similar experiences, or pledging support for Children's Medical Center, St. Judes, the Make a Wish foundation, and so on.

  • @AronRa It is so hard to see anyone go through something like this, no one deserves it, but I think the source of the outpouring is indicative of how many people you have touched. We really see you as someone doing real good in the world and for education, and as genuine and kind. Thank you for sharing everything that you do, including this heartbreaking story, so we can be reminded how precious and delicate life is. Our thoughts are with you and your family. xoxo

  • I know I am still crying, the Princesses did it for me too. The byes at the end were heartbreaking.

  • @TrillianAlice The byes at the end were when I just burst into full out sobbing. What a heart wrenching video. It is hard to think of anyone going through something like that, but I think it was so much worse for me because I think he is someone who is truly trying to do good in the world.

  • @kickassmage You really need to stop trolling. If mummy and daddy find out they might ground you, but then again you live at home, never leave and have no real life friends.

  • @TheFluffyWaffle When did I say all hermits are trolls? Now your rant is moot.

  • @kickassmage Yeah. It's too bad omnibenevolence has to include being a prick, eh?

  • @kickassmage Go fuck yourself, you sick fuck.

  • @kickassmage Well, it's just too bad that God didn't get pissed off when the Holocaust was happening. I guess he only gets mad when someone rationally and politely argues against his existance and decides to kill an innocent 3 year old, but will let Hitler massacre God's own supposed chosen people without doing anything to him at the time.

So yeah, please die and I hope you haven't reproduced yet.

  • @kickassmage You are vermin.

And you are the reason atheists are so vocal. Thanks for adding another nail in the coffin of religon

  • @kickassmage Please explain this logic to me. Your God punishes a relative of a person who expresses the free speech that your God gave him by criticizing your religion? I know your God isn't new to murder for the actions of others, after all, he is responsible for genocide in that book you hold up when you scream at homosexuals, muslims, and atheists. I find it particularly unfathomable that you are too functionally inept to recognize the implications of your comment.

  • @kickassmage After all, I'm sure plenty of Christians have tragically lost relatives to cancer regardless of age and religiosity. Are those Christians being punished for membership of the wrong Christian denomination? If there is any correlation between religiosity and cancer, I would encourage you to find a credible source suggesting such. Do you know anybody who has died of cancer? Did your God kill them too? You sir, are immoral.

  • I watched his video and I couldn't help but cry my eyes out. To this day, the worst I've seen (and I feel blessed now because it was just this night that both this video and the event occurred for me) my six-year-old daughter go through is a mere cyst/boil/whatever under her arm being popped. That little girl looked so precious, as you said. It's horribly unfair. I'm at a loss for words to express my sorrow.

  • @GrimmReeferX I know what you mean. Aron is also someone who just comes across as so genuine, and I love his educational videos and believe that he is someone who is really doing good in the world. It is tough to see anyone have to deal with that, heart breaking really.

  • Very poingnant. Kinda hard to express what I am feeling right now. Thank you for posting this.

  • @pmadsea077 I guess I now understand why people get emotional about celebrities and such. AronRa is a household name for us, and he just seems like such a wonderful person and it is difficult to imagine anyone going through this kind of pain, let alone someone who I think is really doing good in the world.

  • @ihrmc You are so right. I've never met him, but I can't help but feel this profound sense of sorrow and loss. He does seem like an amazing person. I feel totally helpless; I so wish I could "be there" for him and his family.

  • aww girl and went and checked out the video this is soooo sad and wow sooo nice of u to make a video response i was overwhelmed with sadness wow my deepest condolences for his loss life is precious and srorys like these is what makes me want to be the best mom i could be and hug my kids more and love them more and cherish each and every moment i possibly can with them and thats why i started my journey4ahealthierme so that i can be here for my kids as well wow thanks for sharing

  • @Journey4AHealthierMe Thanks babe. It is a part of life, but it is so hard to see a small child go through something, even though I think it is always harder on the adults in their lives. I think it is always great to make life changes to be there to support our loved ones, and while this is a complete tragedy, it will remind me to appreciate my loved ones all the more. xoxo

  • this was very nice of you

  • @mothos Thanks you. Aron is great, I love what he does, I love the personality he shows, and he is like a celebrity in our home. It it is hard to think of anyone going through this, but it becomes so much more difficult when it is someone that one has already built some empathy for. I think he is someone who does real good in the world, and this is a real tragedy. I don't even know how a family could heal from it.
