This video also doesn't show where they accidently drop one of the KIA's out of the bird. It took my platoon 12 hours to recover the fallen soldier. This was a sloppy medevac.
@xsoundxwavex No, but i'm guessing the video was either taken from AC130, UAV, or a helicopter, I was just wondering. And how exactly do you know it wasn't?You aren't the uploader.
@OsakaUE they wouldnt use an ac130 for this those are for taking out big things they are in a medevac chopper hovering above the accident most of the cameras are the same with thermal control becuase they have good range and good scales. but this is most likely from a medevac chopper and not a uav or ac130
@xsoundxwavex if you notice in the top left hand side of the screen you'll see the word "TADS", this the viewing system used in an AH-64 apache. And just to let you know, apaches do not always accompany medevac birds. It depends on the nine-line dropped.
ladyfal3601 who is you dad. first name of course because I was one of the pilots in that medevac aircraft and I know the man who was in the other seat and he has 1 daughter. His initials are J.D.
might have to do things that they might not want to do or they might have to see things they dont want to see. My dad is a remarkable man an inspiring man, and you......you are just a sorry and pathetic excuse for not only an american but a human
Wow......Enchilada01 I could write a thousand pages of disgusting words about you, but i wont for this reason. I am only in middle school, and when i see my dad going away to war to not only fight to save my life but yours as well and then have you say those awful things about him it brings tears to my eyes. Not for my dad or for me but for you. Because you dont understand the meaning of sacrifice or honor or pride. The men of the u.s. armed services have to wake up every day knowing that they
You ...I'm at a loss of words. I am a MEDEVAC pilot. I will save our forces or the bad guy's. enchilada01 you are a child and no not of the world. This vid projects the hero, the people that run in when others run out. You live in a small box and don't see the real world. I love my fellow man and try to say him everyday....I am MEDEVAC
My father was apart of this mission he was one of the medivac pilots. When he came home on R&R I interviewed him and then wrote a report on and turned it into a contest and it won for the school district and it won the award of Most inspiring essay. I love my dad very much and im proud to call him my father. God bless all those soldiers who helped that day and God bless all the soldiers that died.
I was with the 75th in Iraq, Sadly I saw too many of my friends go up in a dust off, but the crews were always respectful and caring, by the way what is this song, I feel a need to find it and save it somewhere
I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for these men and women.
I recently decided to start a new chapter in my life, and to finally pursue my dream as a helicopter pilot. As insane as it may sound I feel as tho my calling is as a MEDEVAC pilot in Afghanistan. It is my first waking thought every single day.
I've lost 20lbs in just a few weeks, only 5lbs to go. In my first instruction flight after only seconds of hover instructions I could maintain hover and even taxi'd.
You go for it mate, when our boys get hit, we'll be depending on U.S. Army choppers for Medevac in and around Oruzgan province.
On several occassions U.S. Army Blackhawks and/or Chinooks have been shot down trying to Medevac our special forces and they end up having to drive on their jeeps till the sun comes up to get to the nearest FOB or defend their position waiting for another Medevac and bailing the downed chopper crew etc., so you guys deserve the utmost respect.
Medics do the job and accept the missions and risk because it is truely an honor to do so. I served as a Medic in the 2nd Infantry Division back when we still had night ambush operations, inside the DMZ. Three and a half years later I returned as an Advanced Level (91B2FY1) Flightmedic with Dustoff North. It was always an honor to take the missions, no matter how dangerous.
This was real. It's not a blackhawk down rip. This music was chosen because this was one of the worst incidents in the 14 months that I was there and properly shows the emotion and respect that Medevac crews show to our fallen brothers. I know this because I flew this mission. Dustoff!
Thanks brother, Lord knows the last thing an Infantryman wants to do is call you in, but when we needed you guys were always there in no time. From a member of D co. 2-503, with too many friends killed or wounded that day...thank you
Your welcome. It was an honor serving in the 82nd and I can speak on behalf of all the members of C co 3/82 Med that if we could've overshawdowed every mission we would have.
My son is a SGT with the Medevac crew in the 82nd. He is going back to that hell hole for the 3rd time in May. You, him, and all the troops are heros to me..
I remember this day and will never forget it. I will never forget my husband's brothers' in arms that died that day. We love you all and miss you. God Bless our troops.
That music from Black Hawk Down is so emotional. The music and the heroic deeds being carried out in this video by our nations finest brings more than a couple tears to my eye.

And its 5,6,7 open up the pearly gates. Well there aint no time to wonder why...WHOPEE we're all gunna die
Now come on mothers throughout the land, pack your boys off to vietnam,
Come on fathers don't hesitate, send your sons off before its too late,
