To be fair, I've never seen Luigi jump like that before. I've never seen Naruto before, but I'm guessing this form of jumping we see on the video is more of what we'd see from Naruto. Perhaps, maybe he wasn't basing it on time frames of who came first, but more along the lines of who actually jumps more like that.
