  • Looks like 60 mph.

  • Scary I hates wind !

  • downburst

  • Holy shit that was scary.

  • BUT well, id try NOT to be under trees during this. they can blow down, and ruin your day or lightning can strike them. course you know this, im just saying. from experience

  • AWESOME

  • WOW! Those winds literally scared the shit outta me! O_o

  • Whoa! Look at that, but you checkout myvideo, does it compare?

  • Awesome man. That was like a minni hurricane.

  • Awesome Storm Footage and Thanks for Posting My Friend !

  • I am a weather expert - SHLAXBERG -

  • Awesome video,

    Cheers,

    Storm Fanatic from Maryland, USA

  • How much would 130 km/hr be in miles per hour? Incredible footage. 5/5 stars.

  • Great camera work. Really enjoyed your weather video.

  • Cool video, mate

  • Seen many of these. Closer to 150 kph. 90+ mph

  • @tropicalchaser Yeah like I was saying to someone in another comment.. I based the 130km/h estimate on a gust measured by a weather station nearby. Lots of trees were flattened nearby so I kinda figure there must have been some higher gusts around the place!

  • @Hinezy77 From doppler radar readings on the day, the peak gust at The Gap was 186km/h IIRC.

  • Awesome wind speed! these gusts must be around 160-170km/h! love it!!! because we have very strong wind storms in Rawalpindi area due to its location and i have seen winds just like these when a weather station recorded gusts upto 169km/h! you must confirm the wind speed (:

  • Well done ... a nice job of (almost) holding the cam steady ... I know it's difficult to do because I can't do it most of the time ... the excitement causes you to want to video everything and a moving cam spoils the value of the footage ... anyway ... I said you did a good job ... those winds had to be gusting to 70+ MPH at times ... I spend far too much of my life in Oklahoma and I have seen an uncountable number of storms like that.

  • Sorry, but I think those winds are much more than 130 km/h, if you compare to Hurricanes or Typhoon winds (generally, tropical cyclones winds) at peak they seems to be well above CAT 1 winds.

  • @tysimon Yeah you might be right. There was a weather station nearby that recorded a 130km/h gust but i was on top of a hill so it's quite possible that the wind gusts were stronger.

  • @Hinezy77 yeah id have to agree wiht him. this has to be higher than 130 kph. looks liek it.

  • @yamahonkawazuki I just based the 130km/h winds on the nearest weather station which recorded a 130km/h gust. The fact that I was on top of a hill getting blasted my microburst winds means they could well have been much higher, but I can't be sure since I didn't have any equipment to measure them tho' :(

  • @Hinezy77 well whatever speed it was, 130kp/h or higher. fact is it was blowing HARD Eh? lol. had to have been an experience. im one of those crazy yanks who likes to approach, not flee tornados. and have plans to experience a hurricane lol

  • Amazing storm. Thanks for sharing.

  • that was obnoxious....one helluva microburst

  • Now thats a storm Great Footage !

  • hello, nice video!

  • woooow

    wonderful video (:

sometimes you see just white :D

  • Cool vid. Thanks for posting.

  • Too fast calm down winds stop blowing around 130km/h.

  • I HATE THE CONTRY THE CITY ROCKS

  • this wind lasted for 7-10 mins where we live

  • Very nice clip. Were you in a car?

  • Yep we were in my van. I knew the storm was going to be pretty bad and we were driving around frantically trying to find an area that was away from all the trees.

For some reason it seemed to make sense to go up the top of a steep hill because it was the only area that didn't have lots of trees but it turned out it was the area with the strongest winds! Catch 22 i guess.

  • Yes, the higher altitude is always the worst. Glad you guys were safe. Flying debris is the most dangerous part in a storm like this.

  • this is seriously my fav weather!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Such a terrible wind gusts.... I thing this is an microburst of a very strong thunderstorm. Greate video, 5 Stars !

  • omg 130kph is 80mph that some strong wind

  • lol sitting under a tree isnt the safest idea

  • OMG your in a Mitsu Delica, how great is thet and she held up against 130kph winds and didnt fall over

  • oh my god, I'd be scared for life xD

  • wow nice video 5/5

  • Holy shit! I'd like to see mary poppins try and float away in THAT! XD

  • I think that would be funny.... she'd be like "ARGGGGHHH!"

  • Id run around in it omgggggg would I love something like this in england

  • This is exactly what it was like in Stafford heights

  • Yeah, I'd say those winds are easily 130km/h at times.

I love your videos. I am so bored of chase footage from the US, I want to see more stuff from other countries.

  • Thanks.. We do get our fair share of supercells over in parts of Australia.. especially on the east coast during Spring. I've seen some of your videos on youtube in the past! Your hurricane videos are fantastic!

  • I'd say the wind was easily more than 100 km/hr! I live on the East Coast of Canada, and we sometimes get nasty storms.

  • This whole series of storms originated around my home area.

Was working the farm just out of Stanthorpe and watched each one brew up. We knew they would be something wild.

  • looks almost like a Hurricane o.o

  • wow i would jumped in the road lol

  • Thats incredible video footage!!!

  • major outflow

  • What a cracking storm. I LOVE the sound of the wind roaring...but Id be shittin` myself if i was in that car right then!

  • That is CRAZY! I've never seen wind like that ... hope you were in a car or strong shelter. The windiest, rainiest, lightning-iest I've ever seen - and I thought Southern Plains storms were fierce! Wow. Adding to favorites, 5/5 stars!
