  • OMG! That's their best sketch ever!! Has anyone got a rubber? :-D

  • good they were so funney wern't they great queer bees ha! rip ronnie barker you were great bless

  • "They peck holes in your milk bottle tops. Four letters, something, something, T, S. Bats!"

"When did you last see a bat peck a hole in your milk bottle top?"

"Well it might do if it was hungry!"

    True! Very true!

  • My favourite!! My BlackBerry is not working comes after this one)) Amazing!

  • "Co-op!" ROFL! Love the Two Ronnies.

  • hahaha the ending made it :D

  • the first one I asked one of my friends and she seriously didn't know it and took about 30 minutes to get it

  • *nun* "grit, of course, has anybody got a rubber?"

  • Hilarious and so refreshing unlike today's filth

  • The tit is literally one of those birds that you only get to mention when your with men or people who know their birds... The two ronnies are quality..

  • I love the way even the last clue (4 letter word ending in --it) is protected but implied. Brilliant. I really wonder how many comedians today can make us laugh with out vulgar and racist references.

  • @goonerdotcom The art of hinting has died in today's humour. I can bet me anything if this were Catherine Tate or Little Britain they would have had the nun verbalise 'shit' and have the simple use of a swear word be the gag and not a cleverly written joke.

  • Even funnier when you know what Americans call rubbers as opposed to what the English call rubbers

  • Next to Laurel & Hardy these are greatest.

  • if you didn't got the joke "anybodygot a rubber" - the Nun had written Shit, not grit, and Nuns don't swear -_-'

  • of course it's grit, i knew that

  • lovely as usual reminds me of me

  • "Have you got a rubber?" CLASSIC.

  • genius

  • I'm a foreigner, could anyone please explain the "big ears" part? I see Noddy is some fictional character but what about Roddy?

  • @neithere " Big Ears" along with , Tessie Bear, Bumpy Dog and the Tubby Bears

    are all friends of Noddy

  • inbatweenaz >>> 2 ronniz!!!!1

  • I certainly wasn't thinking "grit". lol

  • something something... I-T. XD

  • very funny

  • the nun at the end was the best line there.pmsl

  • Well, to be fair...I wouldn't have said "grit"!

Still, this is first calss comedy - it's a shame we don't have anything like this any more :( .

  • @KingsIndianCR you obviously didnt see Horne and Corden

  • @chazman1988 I haven't...thanks. I'll have to take a look.

  • my dad introduced me to this show, he used to watch it when he was my age..love it!

  • I haven't laughed so much for a long time, this is where comedy began and now it's just poos

  • Best comedy double act of all time.

  • yes U.K. rubber is called by americans an eraser(nothing wrong in that ;as it does actually erase) but Americans have an even better time laughing at the nun saying "has anybody got a rubber?" as this is what Americans call a condom.

  • @steevenfrost i call a condom a rubber and iam not american.in fact i know a lot of english folk who call condoms rubbers.this is why i pissed myself laughing at the last line.

  • @richardturnerflorida england and the UK are two seperate places.

  • @richardturnerflorida You don't know mate.... in england they call erasers "rubbers" (Cause it's a big hunk of rubber) The reason she asked for a "rubber" is cause she had put down "shit" instead "grit"... and now she needs to erase it with a rubber. Ah, I love schooling people on Youtube. DUHHHH!!!!

  • @richardturnerflorida - agree there is a double play on words there but not sure if it was intentional given the context

  • Now that is what I call a twist ending. M. Night Shyamalan should take notes.

  • This is just fantastic..does antbody remember the shop sketch with the 2 Ronnies+ Ronnie Corbett says.. "Have you got any 4 candles"..Ronnie Barker gives him fork handles.....lol..priceless

  • of course grit

    has any1 gt a rubber

best ever quote frm this sketch

  • never seen that sketch before, funny as shit.

  • pure genius

  • hehe

tevez es un tarado y un chupamedia

  • Always make me laugh and cry. The Two Ronnies will always be remembered :)

  • love it

  • that last line took this to a whole new level of awesome.

  • Never get fed up of watching the Two Ronnies... I still cry with laughter now. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

  • lol CO-OP!!!

  • RC"Something something I T."

    RB"Grit."

NUN"Ah! Grit, of course. Has anybody got a rubber?"LOLZ

  • "it could have been nose "

  • hahaha "has anybody got a rubber" :P

  • Queer bee.

  • lol grit :P

  • I wish they still made comedies like this. Nowadays, comedy either goes overboard or it's just not funny!

I would rather watch this than little britain!

  • @dvdsmlprstylr I'm kinda proud to be the 100th person to like this comment.. Couldn't agree more :)

  • @TheRowlandstone73 WOW, didn't realize so many likes. I guess I'm not the only sane person on this Earth afterall!

  • No one can play on words like the two ronnies!!!

  • Somebody can upload two ronnies sketchs with subs?? I can't understand all and I love it.

  • It's a shame that Americans wouldn't get the Sun references.

  • What a crack up!!!! Funny as.

  • Hilarious!!!! I love these guys.

  • UK rubber is USA eraser. The gag being that she wrote down 'shit'.

  • Fell on stoney ground.

  • @Gruntol5 Yes. What a shame some people are not sophisticated enough to laugh at "nuns know dirty words".

  • @archbaker: My remarks referred to a crass comment someone made about 1 year ago by some jerk. My remark is now completely out of context, but is displayed at the top of the list. The new YouTube format is utterly ridiculous. Typical software people, they cannot resist interfering with their products - usually for the worse.

  • @Gruntol5 heh agreed

  • @Gruntol5 you are quite ignorant

  • @arrghgarry : You don't even know who my remark was aimed at, because it was removed a year ago. The fact that my remark is right at the top and completely out of context is all part of YouTube's extremely stupid new format. Now, be off with you!

  • @Gruntol5 well ,it is not really out of context ot stands by itself ,it could not be clearer

  • well it could be nose

  • Forgive me if you were joking, or "cats" was a typo, but just in case...

The Sun is famous for having a topless woman on page three. And there are birds which pecks holes in milk-bottle tops, called --TS.

As I say, sorry if you already knew this.

  • I still don't know if you're joking, but I have my suspicions! I feel we're re-enacting the sketch right here on the YouTube comments... No bad thing. Have a nice day, anyway.

For those who still don't get the gag, "tits" are small birds that peck milk-bottle tops (apparently called "chickadees" in the US), and, of course, bosoms; hence the page 3 reference.

This statement brought to you by the Department of the Blatantly Obvious.

  • I love this sketch- it shows just how good the Two Ronnies were at their best.

  • Absolutely brilliant ending!

  • "I can do any crossword put in front of me, including Mesistottototoles! It just so happens I prefer the Sun junior coffee time easy clues!" Fucking priceless.

  • Do it? He can't even say it!

  • LOL @ the nun

  • What a sad loss Ronnie Barker was, a great duo and this sketch is really funny, coop no co-op had me laughing straight away. Fork Handles and the Swear Box sketches are real classics.

  • Yeah classic, metioning the swear box sketch, I'm gonna go look for it now, hopefully its on here.

  • I also recommend the Opticians sketch.

  • The writers of the comedy series "early doors" appear to have pinched the last piece of that sketch

  • it --it !!

has anyone got a rubber ?

  • loved the Two Ronnies...

"Now it's good night from me." ---- "And it's goodnight from him."

  • Roddy in toyland and queer bee I liked very funny.

  • he he

  • For some reason I found "Big Ears and Tubby and Mr. Plop" particularly hilarious.

  • Sorry, 'Big Ears and PC Plop". 'Tis been a while since I saw this sketch, I remembered the basic details.

  • HAHHAH

    Co-op!

  • lol all jokes about the sun are both as funny as they are true. simply brilliant 4 candles one of the best sketches u will ever see.

  • HILARIOUS!

  • lol atthe nun she probably put quit

  • ofc she didn't.

  • grit of course. has anyone got a rubber? LOL

  • ...has anyone got a rubber?!

  • lol oh dear a double entendre, interesting it was a nun who had that line eh, and I think we know what her answer was:P

  • yes flit

  • It's sand.
