heyy what voicings are you using (at least some of them) i have learned this song with drop 2 but im guessing you are doing drop 3 and drop2+3 to be able to play the melody easier right?

@SILOETTE100page Thanks for watching! I actually don't think about any theoretical concept while playing / arranging for solo guitar. I guess when you put all the vocabulary you acquainted throughout the years, it just comes out naturally. Don't take me wrong though, drop 2s, 3s, etc do work, and it's good to study them, but answering your question, i just played what sounded right / good to my ears :) Thanks!

In--credible! Now a question: At 1:08, you go from clearly fingerpicking to...what? Are you really using the side of your thumb after that? Or your index fingernail? I'm speechless. If not, where were you hiding the pick? It's such a smooth transition, I can't follow it. In any case, WOOOW!

Thanks for your kind comments! I'm actually using my index fingernail. I find it to work well when transitioning from slow / medium tempo finger picking to fast single lines. I think it helps to keep the "same tone".

The only thing I had done was a setup by a good guitar tech and also removed the cheesy pickup guard (the one that you see on this video), rather than that everything is original. I don't thing they sell those anymore though, good luck!

That's a Guitar Research JX-16 (Eddie Durham 100th anniversary) I got it for teaching purposes because of the $, but after playing it I realized what a great guitar it was, so it has become part of my performance guitars as well.
