  • LOVE LOVE this song AND ALBUM thank-you GM

    love CG

  • I love Stevie, but Bare Trees is one of the greatest albums ever. This is one of the greatest songs ever.. . .I was always sad when I got half way through this song because it was half way gone so I would start it again. It drove my friends crazy, but I was in heaven.

  • @TheQueposfan I loved Child of Mine from Danny. I wonder whatever happened to him?

  • Why does Stevie Nicks look so different in practically every picture of her???

  • @tubedweller5 I think because she's wearing jeans/pants. Before the lace and dresses.

  • @tubedweller5 I think because she's wearing jeans/pants. Before the lace and dresses. PLUS she was a lot younger and had on less make-up. Still a beautiful lady though.

  • @sp4u1965 Yes, she is :)

  • people listen FUTURE GAMES

  • Likely the audio is from Largo, MD 10/15/75...they had ditched this song from their playlist by '76, when they were trying out their new material.

  • I remember so well....Love, Peace and Happiness...

  • I meant classic!

  • Loved "Bare Trees". Stevie and Lindsey add their style to an old classes!

  • Its weird how things sometime clik after a certain time..why FM weren't HUGE before Linsy and Stev is a 'Mystery to Me'..Welch has an awesome voice, Christines is one of a kind, songwriting and musicianship second to none..?

  • Bare Trees was a great album. So was Penguin.

  • Thanks flamingcrystal.

  • I love Christine's accent when she sings.... she has a little bit of Dusty Springfield in her voice

  • why so many photos of Stevie? It's Christine's song, and Stevie and Lindsay weren't even in the band yet! Stevie can't hold a candle to Christine! What a voice!

  • Beautiful pictures......

  • Christine is the best! thanks for this!

  • That was the time when songs contained great exciting arrangement, riffs harmonies end melodies.... Love the band

I'm actually making that kind of music, or at least using many of the 1970' s elements.

    Attila

  • The real FM were Peter Green's FM

  • Lady steals my heart. Ive always thought Christine was a Big part of The Mac. The band's second album, Mr. Wonderful, was released in August 1968. It was an all-blues album that featured Christine Perfect (McVie) of Chicken Shack. Check out the artwork on Kiln House, Macs fourth album. Shes been there from the beginning.

I got to see her in Denver 82 when she came through with a group called The Zoo, Mick on drums, WHAT A PREFORMER. All McVie the whole night, Beautiful.

  • This is great. Specifically what is this from? Venue, date bootleg? Thanks

  • This is Christine McVie!!! She was THE best female singer on Fleetwood Mac--

  • @B4inSF LOL...NOT EVEN CLOSE!

  • If you put great people on a good song its gonna fly!

  • Stevie's voice was magic then, so rich.

  • this is Christines song

  • why not lie here in my arms and listen to the night?

  • As I listen to this wonderous piece, I'm whisked back to the carefree 70's, and how life was so different. Christine's voice and brilliant hooks are great. But, what makes this song awesome is the backbone of the group, the rhythm section of John and Mick. They drive, Christine asks if you want a ride. It's Friday after 5, sun is shining, you kick off the weekend with a fine bottle of wine, and you got Spare me live comin thru the speakers, along with other Mac favs- now that's the high life!

  • @bri69lee wow...was the blow really that good?

  • I really like this song- I think they all sound great

  • I have to agree. After all this sounds awfull. Buckingham and Nicks.... P.U. Christine Mcvie best damn female blues singer here or there.

  • Spare me so many stills of stevie nicks while christine mcvie is singing a song from pre-stevie album - if you had video clips i would understand, but this is not necessary...we could worship christine just as well, especially since there are plenty of pictures of her from the seventies available

  • @wombchakra Well...Stevie is the most successful member of Fleetwood Mac.....you say Stevie and people know her...you say Christine and they are like...who?

  • Lindsey and Stevie added nothing to this song - what is missing on this is the wonderboy Danny Kirwan's (not Bob Welch) guitar playing. Much as I like Buckingham he couldn't hold a candle to Kirwan, most under-rated lyricist and vibrato guitar player ever!

  • its before their time

  • @Geefor Are you kidding...they add nothing...please...nobody can harmonize like Steive or play a guitar like Lindsey.....you must be tone deaf!

  • @Geefor - Okay, I'm just seeing this two years after your comment, and you may never see my reply ... but thanks for giving some love to the Kirwan! He really was a great part of FM and I wish his contribution was more widely known. BARE TREES is one of the very best albums FM ever did, and he, Christine and Bob were just as great a combination as Christine, Lindsey and Stevie.

  • @Geefor

I like Nick's harmonies. Buckingham and Kirwin's styles are so totally different it's difficult to compare the two. I loved Kirwan somewhat depressing lyrics and great guitar playing, but I think Buckingham covered him and even Green very well. This live version doesn't sound that much different than the live versions with Kirwin and Welch except for the new harmonies.

  • great pics..very appropriate for this song.

  • Nice, simple background harmonies on this. Love the organ solo too. Thanks for posting.

  • I like her rocking song "Homeward Bound" on the Bare Trees album. Don't hear anything about that track.

  • One of Christine's best. everyone should check

out "Bare Trees", the excellent album this song

    comes from.

  • This is the Best ever Christine song~its just beautiful! Love all the pics~!

  • Wow I love Stevie's light vocals weaving in and out of Christine's voice on this!

  • This is a great song, and I love all of the pics. Thank you!

  • Great old song and vintage pics! Love seeing Stevie in her jeans. Wonderful. Thank you!
