Thailand bought the carrier just to show off. What's the point of buying something but no budget to run it? Besides it will be a sitting duck for submarines which Thailand has none.

It is true that the RTN has not been using much of its only aircraft carrier as other navies do but the real punch of this aircraft carrier is lethal. Half of the Harrier fleet can still fly and when needed they can deliver deadly firepower.

Lockheed doesnt produce any F16 version for carrier. The only american jet can take off landing on a carrier will be FA18 Hornet & AV8 Harrier. Soon will b replaced by F35 JSF.
