Kurva fix čo by som dal za to opäť sa viezť v tomto autobuse po bratislavských cestách :-( Neskutočne mi chýbajú tieto autobusy. Lepšie než Karosa, SOR, MB CC, Solaris. Proste najlepšie autobusy na svete! :'(
Jooo to je nádhera :o)) já jako Sokolovák vzpomínám na ty krásný časy kdy tyhle stroje brázdili ulicemi. Krásný zvuk RÁBY, motoru...dokonce ještě pamatuju MAĎARY s kolama trilex a s atmosférickym motorem. Měli takovej tipickej chrochtavej zvuk. Bohužel doba jde dopředu a krásným časům je na vždy konec :o((
until I know...non of these buses had automatic transmiton... what I can remember they had 4gear very short transmision...and they were wery loud, the engine was placed in the middle of the front part of it and conected to the middle axle ...hard wooden seats...and oil was leaking sometimes through the harmonica because of the joints in the middle...but I liked them...they are a part of my childhood :)
They all had and still have automatic transmissions, at least the ones we still use in Budapest. Great buses they are, we also use Volvo Localos and Volvo 7700s but these old Ikarus buses are a lot more comfortable.
#4948 and #4951 was marked as a technically ineligible for transport. After a maintenance inspection (#4948 - 11/2007; #4951 - 1/2008) they was set away from traffic. After 34 years it´s time to say goodbye to Ikarus 280 in Bratislava because the last and also the worst one - #4947 has its certificate valid until 2/2008. We will miss them all. :(

No, I think they have Csepel ZF S6-90U-734 manual transmission or if automatic, then Praga 2M70.18.

Well, that´s sad! The Ikarus 280 is an fine bus and much more robust as the new netherfloor busses.

but today we have lower placed buses...for elder people was sometimes difficult to jump in :)
well they are gone... and we will remember how it was to travel with :)
