  • How anybody can dislike these tunes - they are lords over the pap crap on offer today

  • People generally associate their younger years with 'better' times even though it may not necessarily have been

  • @ph4455 Well the music was better

  • 4:45 Captin picard with hair

  • i know i was a child in the 1970's but it was a great time to be a live.the music was great.

  • best song at 6:40

  • Those times were cool, but i'm glad i live in 2012.

  • wonder how many folks lost their virginity to "Tonight's the Night"? lol

  • @Sparky7036 alot i'm sure lol.

  • sing it Roberta!

  • My dog started howling when he heard this crap.

  • I would give up all this technology if i could be 15 years old in 1975

  • @holycrappers8899, I graduated from high school "the class of '75", this style of music will never die. I think about today's rap becoming tomorrow's oldies & just cringe.

  • @Sparky7036 I agree our generation wont allow it to die , My son is 25 and he even loves the 70s music so that will be one of our carriers

  • @holycrappers8899 I graduated from high school in the "class of 75". This music has survived the test of time. I think of how today's rap will become tomorrow's oldies & just cringe.

  • Watch all from the Helen Reddy's concert in London in 1975. She rocked the 1970s. :D

  • Great Music. Bad Hair

  • Good Video...But No BOWIE?

  • Really?...No Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, Blue Oyster Cult, Bad Company, The Doors, or Jimi Hendrix?...Alright if no one else is gonna say it: Genital Warts!

  • @Cannsanity I Agree...Also...No bowie,james tayler,CCR,Neil Young,Cat stevens...The list goes on....

  • this video makes me think again.. if i where born in the 50's i could party up the 60's till the 90's and lay back like my old man right now.. he didn't need a smartphone or a flatscreen tv back then..

  • Awesome music!.....but I have to say....porno stache alert at 6:04

  • what the song at 6:05?

  • I searched this up because I want to see what That 70s show listen

  • CaLled

  • @Lil0bm its one bad apple by the osmond brothers..

  • What the Sond at 1.50 ca

  • 1:51 justin bieber at 70's

  • @freezethink I really hope you are joking. That was the Osmonds, specifically Donny Osmond. Justin Bieber is nowhere near the talent of anyone on this video. This was when music was actually music. What ever that little brat does certainly does not impress me. The 70's had some of the most awesome music ever listened to.

  • Real harmonies, real men and real women. Just pure talent.

I am so glad I grew up in this musical era.

I am so glad I am not one of these teenagers today walking around with head phones listening to really really bad lyrics and really bad music sung by men who look like and sound like women and women who look and sound like men.

  • Would any of theese artists see the light of day today - A time when the music was important not just what you looked like... I think one day the kids will get sick of being spoon fed the drek that passes for music today and demand better.....

  • i wish i was born in 1965 so i could live the greatest era ever... the 70's!!!!!!!~!

  • im in 21st centary bs i wish i was in the 70s

  • wow...I was just a kid then, my mom used to take naps in the 70' afternoons and as I lay there listening to the radio that she left playing by her bed side, I can only remember seen myself cover in tears trying so hard to go to sleep. but couldn't ; (

  • I grew up in the 70-s and I listened to a lot of these songs. The one thing I wish you could have done is to give the names of the artists and their songs. I was raised on the other side of the pond, so there were many artists that Americans were not aware of. A lot of them won Eurovision music competition. To name a few Boney M, ABBA, Arabesque, Smokie, Italian pop music from San Remo festivals, Al Bano and Romina Power, the Dutch groups Pussycat, Teach-in, etc., etc.

  • third song reminds me of the simpsons movie!

  • I was born in 1960. The 1970s were musically a wilderness with the odd oasis.

  • Good Ole "Glen Campbell".

  • The '70's...best decade for music ever!

  • lol, 1:47 1970's Justin Bieber

  • @sleestakattack but is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than today justin

  • @sleestakattack 8:36 Exile - I Wanna Kiss You All Over (1978)

  • @sleestakattack Donny Osmond

  • @sleestakattack don't even attempt to compare Donny Osmond to Beiber.Donny has more talent in his pinky than that other guy!All of the Osmonds are multi talented and all can sing quite well.I am not saying this in a mad way but in a way of stating reality. That there really is no comparison, and of course I do not know if your statement is a joke or not,so I am merely commenting, nothing else.

  • @sleestakattack What you talking about? Beiber is nowhere NEAR that low.

  • Whats the third song called?

  • @rockursoxoff1 Close to me - Carpenters

  • 60 / 70 / 80/ 90 Best decades i dare say...

  • I <3 bohemian rhapsody :) and i have american woman on a record! :D

  • BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY!!!!!

  • 6:40 is Queen

  • whats the name of the group @6:40 ???

  • Damn I miss the 70s . These were my high school days

  • good times never to come back

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwsome

  • and, you also missed donny hathaway. you DID show roberta flack ... but how can you show her without showing donny hathaway? =(

  • wow ... you totally missed 2 major groups of the entire 70's era ... pink floyd and led zeppelin. i mean really, how can you miss those two. PINK FLOYD AND LED ZEPPELIN!!!!! = \

  • just kidding i love this music

  • the 70s a bunch of cracked up ass holes

  • I was born in 1979.

I grew up listening to 80s and early 90s stuff, but in the 80s, the 1970s songs were still heavily played.

Music in the 1970s and 1980s was good -- 90s was kind of okay esp early 90s, but it got worse as the decade went along and `00'to `11 is mainly pure garbage with a few notable exceptions.

  • Er... I think you forgot Barry Manilow. Just my humble opinion. Still a great video. Thanks for sharing it with us!

  • know almost every 1 of these, ty for postin Child of '78

  • Two words. Thank you

  • @tommyoga

    One Word.....Grunge

  • American Woman STAY AWAY FROM ME...... wisest words ever spoken

  • Why the fuck was I born in the 90s?

  • i wish i was born in 1950... I'd be living my 20's in the 1970's and my 30's in the 1980's!!! :'(

  • A time when we had REAL music!!!

  • It's what made yesterday that made today, thank you for letting me hear it again.

  • I realize they couldn't included EVERYONE, but wow, "Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me" and "One Bad Apple", and no Michael Jackson/Jackson 5????? Jeez, come on!!

  • The music of the mid-to late 1970's was pretty good and funny and stupidly silly at times ex.disco duck and run joey run. The fashions and hairstyles were ugly and horrible.

  • @soundgarden700 Silly songs made up less than 3% of the songs released in the 70s. Today, 90% of songs are stupid and silly. Did you travel across the U.S. back in the 70s? What fashions are you referring to?

  • I prefered Glady's knights version of "the way we were"

  • I came here because i was sick of today's music

  • Where's the Jackson 5????

  • i wish this was now.... nowadays this music is just about sex, drugs and money. it explains why the future society might fail.

  • WOW thanks for the trip. Times looking back had it's ough spots bu always songs to take you away for awhile Thanks again

  • I know it's naive, but I wish I'd gotten to experience this decade.

  • just awesome music and i was born in 87 far after all this music had come out

  • nowadays everything is freakin safe and boring. You can't do shit, without having to worry. Cops in every single corner, and fags telling me how to act.

I say fuck that! Just letting u noe that these days everything is freaking insured and cameras in every single corner of the street. If u think about it is actually scary, the world we live in these days.

  • for me the 70s were the best

  • Its not the "Trip through the 70s" its only the "Trip through the USAs 70s"!

  • @gorangogol The Beatles , Elton John , Rod Stewart, Queen,Andy Gibb, and The Bee Gees were from England and The Guess Who and Terry Jacks were from Canada.

  • saw Mac Davis in concert in 1974 Houston Livestock & Rodeo w / a photo & autograph

  • What a decade to be young in....and I was there having a ball. Thanks for the memories

  • Thank you for the music

  • hell i was born in frikin 97 and I wish i was in the 70s. i missed out.

  • @videman21 Join the club.

  • @videman21 same here.

  • @videman21 EXACTLY! i was born in 1998 and feel the same way. everything about now is just so terrible and the 70's seem like a much simpler time. do u play any instruments?

  • @videman21 same, lol

  • @videman21 That you did.

  • I always have to chuckle when I hear a young person say, "I wish I could've grown up in the 70's"! I never realized how popular my teenage years were to people now a days. LOL...some of my high school pictures are hysterical and I see people wearing the same clothes NOW!!!

  • @Lisajo1960 Please, not everything, but a great many things were FAR better in those years, I mean, the Music, the Clothes, and most importantly, the HAIR WHY oh why cant people have such amazing hair nowadays!

  • american pie+ Rhinestone cowboy= american legends

  • Comment removed

  • Now the music's convincing me to go back to the 70's.

  • R.I.P. John Denver

  • I lived 18 years of my life buying into the pop / alternative as art...

My first year of College, my friend brings out Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. And when I listened, my mind opened up. And I knew, not at first, but as it aged in my ears, I knew that THIS was the music that god (or whatever wiser forces than our own) intended it to be.

Now, each time I turn on the radio, a slimmer of discontempt rises in my soul because I now, we've fallen out the realm of music, and might not come back.

  • loooooove the 70's:)

  • Nice job but disappointed that you omitted "Alone Again Naturally" and "Candyman" from 1972 as well as "Afternoon Delight" from 1976 and the song that stayed at #1 the longest, "You Light Up My Life".

  • i bet if the media stopped playing the crappy music this generation is into, and starting playing oldies, the world would be a better place.

  • Oh those stupid-funny-silly looking 1970's. I always laugh when I see an old clip from the 1970's and I see the way people really dressed. Stupid 70's HA! HA! HA! HA!

  • @soundgarden700

You must be retarded if you laugh while seeing this clothes. What's that funny about them?At least watch the shows from the 70s.Those clothes looked amazing.

  • @1998gina No, I think you're the one who is RETARDED AND BRAIN-DEAD-STUPID! I did not grow up during the 1970's my parents did and I know what the fashions were because of pic's and photo albums. I grew up watching the t.v. shows later through cable and syndication. The t.v. shows were good and the most of the music was but the fashions really weren't.

  • @soundgarden700 is that the sound of jealousy I hear in your words! We think you lot look stupid with your pants half down yer arse. For the time we looked hot... HOT.HOT. Don't knock what you don't know kiddo.

  • @alexine2007 Well said !
