..INCREDIBLE voice and BRILIANT band!! saw them support The Stranglers at Edinburgh Playhouse in 87 and they immediately blew me away,..not many supports have ever done that!! The last previous to that was Joy Division suporting the Buzzcocks at Glasgow apollo!! Altho different artists,..both Anja and ian had a v similar effect completely SPELLBINDING!! ssoo underrated.but 4 1 al b keepin their flag flyin!! :-D

Fetisch and Tocsin really highlight how wonderful a voice Anja Huwe has and the range on both releases were near endless, Thanks for posting this....surely a CLASSIC!

never saw x mal deutschland ( i.e. fetisch, tocsin, viva) pre 89 stuff on cd only devils and dreamhouse. still got the whole back catalogue on vinyl.

Let's all hope some EMO band doesn't claim an Xmal song and shread it into pieces; then the "kindergoths" say - "It's brand new." Do I sound bitter...? or is it just fair that each generation have unique artistry.

Well, at least I'm comforted with the thought - I can afford to buy better clothes and some really kick-ass boots.

I've been looking for this song. I don't know why some people comare Xmal with Siouxsie? I believe all the Goth bands of the 80's had unique sound qualities; Bauhaus, Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death - etc.

I would have never listen to them if they were similar - but, that's just me...!

However, this song does bring me back to those very special nights. What naughty things happened in the backrooms...!
