  • great link beautiful cake

  • Is there an alternative to using the No Color Butter Flavor?

  • Chocolate marshmallows are out now, can you get away with using them with the orig fondant recipe?

  • oh ymmyyy

  • can you color chocolate fondant?

  • @animegirlkat

Is too dark!! i think is hard.

  • @bigheadmagicmad oh, to bad, thanks for answering

  • i've read that some people refrigerate their fondant overnight before use. is that necessary? how do you store your fondont? how long does it keep for?

  • @zum863

I heard about that too! i made this fondant once only, but i think you don't need to keep in the fridge.

I just let it rest for few hours before rolling it to cover the cake. For the left over you can keep in the fridge.

I think it can keep very long. I know sugar never go bad if you keep it well.:).

  • i love how you say marshmalow ♥

  • Thank You so much for posting this recipe up...I've tried the marshmallow fondant several times and it tastes sooo much better than the store bought Wilton fondant...and it works great for molding, too...I mixed banana flavoring to the last batch I made and the fondant tasted like the orange circus peanuts...Can't wait to try the chocolate version of this recipe!!!!

  • @queenbdramaqueen

    Well done and keep baking!!:).

  • That look so delicious!

  • thank you so much for ur prompt response! I will try this out this week!

  • thanks so much for posting this! I read the recipe and wanted to know when do you add in the melted chocolate? I read that you put it aside but I didnt see what to do with it next? thx sooooo much!

  • @latoyalshaw

    1. Grease a microwaveable bowl with shortening. Add all mini marshmallows, clear vanilla, butter flavoring and water.

    2. Microwave for 60 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir until completely melted with fork.

    3. If all the mini marshmallows don't melt after stirring, return to microwave for 30 seconds and sitr.

Once these are melted, stir melted chocolate into the marshmallow until well incorporated.

  • @latoyalshaw

4.sift powder sugar and cocoa mix over the melted marshmallow and continue the instructions, i.e., mix until well incorporated.
