I found a better stem, you take your remaining chain and wrap it around so it takes 5 and create a column. (You end up with 2 left over, not three.) Then carefully place the flower's base on the top of it and add the leaves like normal.

I found i can better center the stem on the flower by putting a six ball hexagon on the bottom, center pentagon. That centers well. Likewise, you can center the square stem on the hexagon quite well.

That uses two of your three extra balls. To use the last one, just put it at the center of the flower, nestled in the middle of that pentagon.

Looks slightly better and uses all 216 balls.
