Checkinggokop what would you know about working in a capitalist system? We haven't had that here in nearly 100 years. How can you judge the morality of hundreds of thousands of people who make their living in sales? Do you know what a complete idiot you look like for making such an absurd statement? No one sells anyone anything they don't need. Buyers are much more sophisitacated than that these days. Which sales job or jobs did you have that you miserable failed in?
This is my job... unobtainable quotas that just get higher and trying to disguise the new comp plan as if it were better than last year, when a 5th grader could figure out that couldn't be farther from the truth.
Then the company gives the best leads to "special" employees that make no outbound solicitations... even so far as stealing clients (that hit the company website) from my lists and giving them to inferior employees that do nothing.
Frighteningly accurate. The foodservice business is way too much like this. Ask any sales rep for Sysco, Performance Food Group, U.S. Foodservice, Ben E. Keith, etc, etc. Sales excellence is rewarded by unrealistic goals for next year.
I feel your pain my brother! Some of my best friends are account reps and most of them are very good at what they do. The reward for their hard work is exactly what is portrayed in this video....unfortunately the light at the end of the tunnel is indeed a train. Which is engineered by a clueless VP of sales with a masters degree in marketing.
one of the morally lowest jobs you can get in the shitty capitalist system. you degrade yourself as a salesman and you push garbage products on consumers that they dont need. most of marketing jobs are on the same level as prostitution.
@Checkingokop But you are ever so wrong Mr.Negative. Being a salesman is a great career opportunity especialy for those who are hardworking and ambitious, the sales field is a wonderful place to make a good living and meet new people everyday, and as far as the "pushing of garbage products on people goes", know this, all true salesman who make an excellent living (I'm talking as much as doctors with PHD's) truly believe in the product their selling and use it themselfs on a daily/weekly basis.
"This company is your family.........." If we are NOT biological related in any way, shape, or form, then you are no f*ing family of mine.................you are a USER, a SLAVE-MASTER! What you are is an adversary (that might need to be taught a lesson yourself, eventually!)
"If this company is my family, then I have been molested for years..........by being financially raped up the ass!!" LOL..........AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!! Best line out of the whole video to me!
@mrsalesguy01 Sir I would like to become your disciple. This is so dead on it's not even funny. I remember purposely hitting just enough for my personal goal and actively turning away sales so none of my managment would get their bonus. That resulted in a Corrective Action form, which I refused to sign. This is fuckin priceless.
Fuck yea man right on point. I am a sales rep for one of the two companies who offer fiber optics. And this clip is amazing. My management does the exact same thing to us it's sad.
The truth to this is astounding. The one thing I have to be thankful for is that my sales manager IM'd this to me whle we were both at work...at least he gets it too!
As Director of Sales for my current company I will say the salesperson here was very ungrateful. He needs to have a better attitude and never forget SalesForce as that is your lifeline!!
@FreshPress1 Yes SFDC The be all and end all when you positively, absolutely need to toe the internal company line to make commission..for all of the wrong obfuscational reasons. Upper management is really only interested in polished turds, never reality and truth. The means are ALWAYS justified by the ends and are rarely questioned. As long as short term results flow, the hell with the means. We'll worry about those later and then we will actually wonder why Been there...for 33 years.
Holy shit!!!!! This is all so ducking true. I work in sales and it is 100% commission based. I could not agree more. I am still fucking laughing at all of this.
That was so funny it made me cry. The saddest part is that I work for this company, and think the boss might actually resemble my boss. I'm going to watch it again.
This type of anti-sales propaganda hurts overall productivity in our great nation and further embeds the false notion that you have to be a corrupt scammer to succeed in America, which is killing our economy.

Hey you guys just wanted to know from all the salespeople how they would like to be treated. I actually studie Bussiness& Management and a few of my classmates plan to be managers. So tell the managers of the future what you would like differently! thanks!
I literally watched this 101 times in a row and fwd to every sales person I know. Shit I almost sent it to my manager but figured he wasnt smart enough to understand the humor.

No bonus of any sort was discussed in it, but they were very "grateful for my above and beyond efforts". It hurts my soul that this comment is actually true.
I always wondered why the dealerships took their best salespeople and made them managers. It always seems like if the managers were salespeople that the dealership would sell more cars. Every manager I have known was always the top producer...according to them.
I'm in autmotive sales and I can vouch for the approach by the sales managers to sales people. I think I peed alittle when I saw this the first time. Absolutely genius.

When Prudential Securities cut the commissions by 10% and took all accounts with less than $250,000 and put them into a "Prudential" account from which I derived no commission, I told them to shove it and went someplace else. The moral of the story is that good salesmen need to move on regardless of "prizes".....there are better jobs out there without working for jerks.
very true but after a while boring due to the way you retard the speech output.
