@z34gtp9395 firstly I am not an intel fan boy. I have both AMD and INTEL systems. My old gaming rig WAS an AMD system. But guess what, now I can afford it the INTEL system shits on it. I think an AMD is ok on a budget for gaming. But put a top end AMD up against a top end INTEL and the INTEL wins... thats why I choose INTEL now... and the price is worth the boost in power IMO.

2 5870 is a littlebit faster because the clock speed is 850 mhz on a 5870, in a 5970 it is 725 mhz, but one 5970 is more powerefficient, i think u should go with a 5970 because it is cheaper and u have more performance for the money

5870 crossfire is faster when not overclocked, if you overclock they run about the same.

5870 crossfire takes more power and will generate more heat in most computer cases.
