I am assuming that following examples of pronunciation is OK

tracefleeman as "thrashfleeingmen" OR

Buddha (enlighted) as Buddaa (old man)(d as in dog) OR

Stree (woman) as istree (iron used for pressing the cloths)

Nadeerag and Daisy34v have tried to pronounce and provide the meaning correctly.Actually after offering the salutaions to Buddha, zvalam apaanaaya swaahaa-prufied water is offered. The matra needs to be written & pronounced correctly.

This mantra is in Sanskrit.

The matra offers salutations to Buddha.

Except the music, there is mockery of the mantra the way the words are pronounced.

It is good to hear without knowing what it is sung. It is very necessary to learn topronounce the Sanskrit words correctly. I feel sorry to comment this way

Hi.. I am a Hindu and i was not aware of this mantra. I am doing a small study on Avalokiteshwara and I came across one article where it has said this particular mantra should not be recited when on a journey. Kindly enlighten me if this is true and why learned people are recommending not to do it?

@raghavanal i dont' know about Hindusim but Buddhism is ALL about compassion. If you recite any mantra that invoke harms then those mantra expounded by the Buddha. The Buddha precisely promoted and taught compassion so how can a mantra bring you harm? This mantra is very beneficial and the author either interpreted wrong or your understanding isn't up to level. Avolikitshavara is the bodhisattva of COMPASSION. You can clearly tell that this mantra is good for anything. Namaste.

This is one of the most life affirming songs I've ever heard. It has so much energy behind it. It can break all but my deepest melancholies. I can't help but smile when listening to this. This particular Mantra Of Avalokiteshvara chant by Tibetans fills my heart with joy and moves me a lot. When I listen it, I feel lots of gratitude, compassion and joy and immediately have very tearful eyes. These 2 mantras (including Om Namah Shivaya that I posted previously) are my favourite ones that I listened so far - there are plenty more that I never had chance to find and listen. Namaste.
