Tianxiaohei, what a pointless comment. Clearly, this recording is not terrible. You are being absolutely ridiculous! You might not think that it is the definitive Beethoven recording, but it is still VERY good.
@poonjab920 expressive does not mean a pianist must use exaggerated body movements. Kana's ability to limit her movements allows her to fully feel the music without distraction from moving, and it provides a more professional atmosphere. And the tempo is excellent - slow enough to preserve Beethoven's style, but moving enough to provide interest and deep emotion.
poonjab920, this artist does not have over exaggerated body movements whatsoever. If anything, she should do more! Every movement she does is sincere and related to what and how she is playing. She is in no way too mechanical. What an absurd comment to make about this artist. If you can not hear what she is expressing in her music, then you should stop listening and commenting on music altogether.
Kana, you are one of the finest pianists Ive ever heard. Please post more videos!
@piano2ning The fact that you insinuate I know nothing about music shows how ignorant you are. Liking somebody's rendition of a piece compared to others is all subjective. You portray true arrogance in reply and I'm sorry your omniscience when it comes to music allows you to disregard other peoples takes on it.
The Rondo is better than the Adagio (both are quite good!). I think the Adagio has been slowed down a bit too much. Also, I wish she stopped all those unnecessary and exaggerated hand movements.
I am in love with Pathetique..the adagio is moving. Kana you are so beautiful and you are a truly inspiring artist. I watch all your performances!!!

played the beginning of the second movement a little fast for my taste. however, your voicing of the counter melodies is impeccable! 5 stars!

Beautifully controlled and moving. Gave me goose bumps. Very nice job, young lady. As good as any concert pianist. :)

I agree with tianxiaohei...
Too mechanical, and way too quick... Where's the expression? I see over exaggerated body movements, but don't hear it...
